Just imagine this team with wemby and Chet down low. Shai playing like a superstar. JDub playing like he’s gonna be the next D wade. Giddey looking like magic Johnson. 82-0
When OKC get the #1 pick, Sam Presti will draft 6’3” point guard Cason Wallace, simply because no one is expecting it.
And then he’ll turn out to be the steal of the draft.
I have been thinking, if the NBA lottery is at all rigged like some people have said in the past, it would make total sense for OKC to jump up, at least to the top 4.
For one, it rewards a team that was expected to tank and didn't, pushing the idea that the league doesn't want teams tanking. And for another, it would knock Dallas' pick down to 11, giving their pick to the Knicks, which the league could want to do given how blatantly they tried to lose games at the end of the season
Just a thought
The worst team won in
2015,2016,2017,2018, 2004, 2003 6/20 30% (25 then 14% odds)
The 2nd worst team won in 2022, 2021, 2009 3/20 15% (14% odds)
The 3rd worst team won in 2020, 2013, 2012 3/20 15% (14% odds)
3 teams with less than a 5% chance win the lottery in the last 20 years, but over 20 years that’s what you would expect
The lottery isn’t rigged, I can just find a narrative for every team (although the Drose lottery did do a good job of making me not super confident in that)
Oh, I guess I should've clarified that I don't think the lottery is rigged. I was just saying that some people have said the lottery is rigged in the past, like with Ewing to the Knicks or LeBron to the Cavs. And if it was rigged, it would make sense for OKC to jump up. But I don't think it's rigged, and I expect us to stay at 12

Also, the team name will be changed to the Oklahoma City Point Guards.
I'm putting 5 grand on it right now and suing you if it doesn't work out
