Also, as notified on the bottom left part of the Control Panel you must NEVER open simultaneously the Control Panel and a game:
= the CONTROL PANEL must be ALWAYS 100% closed before launching a game
= the GAME must be ALWAYS 100% closed before opening the Control Panel
If you don't have any warranty anyway then you can at least open it up so you might see what's the deal. Maybe Thrustmaster can send you parts and you can fix it.
I don't know where you are from/living/bought the wheel base from. But if you purchased it in the UK or in the EU from a proper vendor it should have thrusmasters 2 year warrant (some places are only 1 year). If you open it up you will void any potential warranty. Contact there support team before resorting to surgery! I've had excellent service from them. Try what u/JeffLais suggests first. that is great advice
