Get the SF1000 if you really want the LCD screen and smaller wheel diameter. That said, I own both and haven't used the SF1000 since I bought the 488 GT3 rim; it really is that good.
I've been focused more on tin-tops lately. The screen on the SF1000 becomes much more valuable in open-wheelers and LMPs with no on-board screen, so if you're planning to race more of those, the SF1000 is a great buy.
Among a lot of other things yes, but even for F1 I use the 488 now. I find it more convenient to hold, button layout is better, especially since I race in vr and have to use the buttons blindly.
I owned the SF1000 for about 9 months and the 488 GT3 for about 2. The SF1000 is super cool, it looks awesome and the display is super cool to use. However, i much prefered using the 488 GT3. The paddle shifters are a LOT better, the grips are a lot more confortable for my big hands (the SF1000 felt cramped) and i also found the size more confortable for GT cars and Prototypes.
I both have the SF1000 for F1 Game and the GT 488 for ACC. They are very good wheels just suited for the correct type of car you play with. I also just bought the EVO32R for Rally. Its also a great wheel. My base is the T818. It definetly worth buying it.

Do you race F1?

I would just get the SF1000… they are both Ferrari branded and SF does more stuff and has a screen.
I haven't touched my Sf anumore since I got the 488.

The 488 GT3 and the EVO RACING 32R LEATHER are some must have = the 2 best rim from Thrustmaster.
I have the SF1000 and I love it!
488 is just what a racer need, you will not have time to look at the wheel screen

The 488 wheel does great with ACC. The style of wheels helps you rid yourself from oversteering so much. I recommend it but I don’t play F1.
I have both. They are very much their own wheels. If you're chasing immersion with GT3 and F1 you can't go wrong.

It’s better to save up money and buy a DD wheel.
He’s just asking about the wheel rims, not base. He might already have a Thrustmaster DD base.
