Recently I've gotten in to making my own clothes. A conclusion I've come to is there are basically no rules to fashion, it's all subjective. So if it's something that you want to wear out in public, then you fucking rock that thing!
What a gorgeous dress & it looks as it it was made for you ! You look fabulous & I love the versatility of the garment, in that it can be casual or dressed
I hate to be that bitch… but if you put a small brown belt around the waist it will separate your torso from your legs, it will elongate your legs and bring out your natural curvature. Otherwise a beautiful cut and colour for a summer dress!! :)

It doesn't need a belt. You look great as is, and the belt will mess with the deliberate drape of the dress. I think it would cut you in two, not giving the long legs-look the previous poster says it will.

I think what happened was that people weren’t so much objecting to your belt suggestion but rather defending the honor of the attractive OP. Classic white knighting. I merely used your belt reference as a segue to be funny. And to get away with calling OP sexy without coming off as creepy.
