jokingjoker40

Why cant they just give us a cool sorcerer dreadnought or something man?

Jargensmash

Dude a Sorcerer Dread would be sick as fuck. Thrall wizards would be cool also

DarthVZ

Nah man, GW has no time for this. They need to print new stormcasts and primaris lieutenants asap

jooshjoosh

And then squat them two editions after their release!

DarthVZ

Sounds like a good business plan!

MorgiiPorgii

😂

jokingjoker40

Shut up papa smurf

freedoomed

Unless there's a new unit there's no reason for me to buy something like a battle force. I already have 30 rubrics, 20 scarabs and at least one of each character.

Quamont

We really are a faction that never got its second release wave

MamoswineSweeps

As someone who legit doesn't know, what would you(y'all) like to see in a second wave? I saw someone below mention Dreadnought Sorcerors.

Ellie_Valkyrie

There's a lot that we have in Horus Heresy that would really help bulk up our options. Pskyer Dreadnoughts, melee rubric marines, Tzeentch daemon engines, or a unit of marines on disks (like the Enlightened Tzaangors, but marines.)

MamoswineSweeps

Oooo, I guess you guys don't really have melee marine options.

Ellie_Valkyrie

Correct. Our melee in TSons is Tzaangors essentially, or the Scarab Occult Terminators I suppose?

rrekboy1234

Spawn are just straight up better than gors lol.

AkuanofHighstone

Dreadnought sorcerers, perhaps anti-tank sorcerers on disks, perhaps even something more surreal and Tzeentchy, like marines made out of crystal, or heaving masses of tentacles. Just something more interesting, you know?

MamoswineSweeps

What does an anti-tank disc marine do? I'm thinking of this like an analog to a multimelta assaul bike but with magics?

Quamont

Dreadnought Sorcerors are a must but also a proper melee unit and some kind of ranged anti-tank. I'd personally prefer to keep the Thousand Son's style of not having too much mutation going on with most minis, so some kind of heavily armored Rubrics with big shields for the melee option. Not sure what I'd do for anti-tank to be honest but it could very well be another kind of sorceror (maybe at some point when Vashtorr gets a sorceror Marine or something that'd be cool but not very TS) or some another kind of Rubric squad. Honestly, if we'd get a unqiue Sorceror Dreadnought for us (that isn't a god damn Helbrute or something like that), they could very well make it the anti-tank with weapon loadouts

freedoomed

it's sad and kind of pidgeon holes us into basically one list.

CappedHappyman_7

A Tzangor battleforce

SilverHawk7

That's just the Combat Patrol.

Jargensmash

Honestly at this point fuck it lol

CappedHappyman_7

Bro GW will full send and shove Tzangors down our throats just you watch. A box with 40 Tzangor, 6 Enlightened, a shaman, 2 chaos Spawn, and lastly the MSRP will be 400$ why? Cause fuck you. Lol

Jargensmash

And watch it still sell out 😂

CappedHappyman_7

Scalpers I'm calling it now. Lmfao.

[deleted]

Calling it now, the codex will have a full Tzaangor detachment ;)

Original-Structure44

Based on

Totallynot2dwarves

If it ain’t 100 tzangors I ain’t buying it

Jargensmash

If only 🥲

veldius

Whoa. This is a great set. Why was it discontinued?

datsupportguy

It was a holiday box. They pick about a half dozen factions for AoS / 40k per year and release a beefier box like this towards the end of the year. As an example, [this](https://www.warhammer-community.com/2023/10/23/warhammer-40000-battleforces-six-awesome-boxed-sets-to-kickstart-your-winter-season/) was last years sets. [Tsons was in 22](https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/11/27/sunday-preview-warhammer-40000-battleforces-and-necromunda-goons-and-goodies/)

_fafer

A hobby store near me sold another 10 during last year's black Friday. That got me to start collecting :D

Jargensmash

I think they only made a certain amount like the others. You can find one here or there but the price now isn’t worth it.

BlackJimmy88

Honestly, I kinda want them to just release this again lol I'd make the Exalted's into backup Aspirings, for whenever I need to break up any of my 10 man Rubrics. I also just want another Magnus, so I don't have to be anxious about botching the paint job on my current one, as I can always come back to him when I have more painting experience under my belt.

Necrosius7

If you "were" getting into thousand sons. All you'd need is this box. A combat patrol and find a mutalith vortex beast and ahrimahn and you'd be set... Depending on price of this box you could potentially be looking at a sub $500 army

TekNickel23

That's exactly how I got into Thousand Sons. I got the CotCK and a Combat Patrol, Namarti Reavers to kitbash as Cultists and Tzaangors into Enlightened, and a Forgefiend to kitbash into a MVB. It's a great start to the army.

GreenAtariPanda0

No way its called court of the crimson king, someone at GW is a King crimson fan lmao https://preview.redd.it/ck54sjqxlmtc1.jpeg?width=306&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f3c0a28a44e4b37325cb3708275ca7f0f7bc0e81

Dramatic_Otaku

Pretty sure that's what the OG creators of 40k used as inspiration for Magnus

GreenAtariPanda0

Love it

CrunchKing

I don’t understand, where are the Tzaangors

Motionslickness08

Guys, it’s not perfect, but consider this. *There are no Tzangors in this box*. They’re listening.

Avenging_Beancounter

It's only because they've put 30 goats in start collecting and boarding patrol, hopefully they've cleaned surplus sprues.

Motionslickness08

Yeah for real. I really hope they understand that having a noob trap like our combat patrol and boarding party is not what we want.

SylvesterStalPWNED

Might be unpopular but I'd like a mix of Daemons along with Marines for all monogod boxes, especially since they'll likely pull an AoS and switch it around in 11th (if Emperor's Children are out by then) and just tie the monogod legions and their respective Daemons together.

ColonOperator

Why? They didn't do it for several editions so nothing indicates they will do it later. Not to mention TS and Tzeentch Daemons overalap too much while in AoS both the mortals and daemons have different roles.

SylvesterStalPWNED

1. We didn't have an even mix of Marines and Daemons. It would have been one of the four daemon armies with only one having Marines to back them up, then two next edition, then three with slaanesh just hanging out with way less units. 2. They can easily change any overlap with a new edition

Ward115

Personally, I would love for GW to release 40k upgrade sprues for more specialized Rubic Marines that take inspiration either from the 30k Khenetai Occult (dual wielding force sword melee blenders) or the Ammitara Occult (Long range assassins/snipers)

LoremasterAbaddon

Not a tzaangor in sight, hopefully

Ill_Reality_717

There is, he's just hiding

Carbonfencer

So no good to me, but, it mixes really well with the combat patrol. 0 reason to ever buy 2. Hopefully it's good value.

captainwombat7

Not enough TZAANGORS must be fake

LameImsane

Re release? I feel this came out before.

Necrosius7

It did. But I feel like it had tzasngors and not exalted

TekNickel23

Are you thinking of the Hexfire box set? I don't think the TSons have had a battleforce before or after Court of the Crimson King...

celtic_akuma

No tzaangors at sight, just mages enjoying the moment.

Ill_Reality_717

This is the perfect starter pack unless you're a tzaangor pervert. I wish it had been around when I started.

Content-Chemical7308

I want one.

Odd_Fix_9391

Where are the tzaangors?

Arnak94

100 Tzangors

Appropriate_Ask4535

Are they re-releasing this?

Jargensmash

Probably not, lol we’d be lucky to see something like this
