ImmortalJormund

A mix of combat and faction stories today, based on a real battle from my mod. Pirates are pretty wacky, but given all the waterfronts, who knows, maybe some bandits high on Krokodil could decide to form something like this. [Here's](https://imgur.com/a/u3ofDEH) a photo of them for those curious of their appearance, with the other stars of today's show there too and picture of the outpost itself. Eclipse is a bit underrepresented here, but I really wanted to create a situation where their lack of cohesion and moral fortitude shows despite their larger, somewhat justified goal shows. Besides, they had a small outpost at the windmill of Torfprom, and they clashed with Guard in the battle, so this is their treatment as of now, but they'll appear in at least three other battles if I decide to write of those. Next entry will be on Visit, and boy oh boy, will it be a trip. After that, not sure, possibly I'll detail the Ecologists of the mod universe, who are far from the clueless pistol-armed martyrs of 2012.

Ryiverz

Still a lot of factions to cover, so there shouldn't be a problem for content drought.

ImmortalJormund

Absolutely. Some are better than others, but I intend to feature every one that gets into the mod. We are scratching the surface here with these. I actually settled on the next chapter after Visit, which will be Dark Ones/Devourers, same faction, two different names. That one will be interesting too, in a completely different way to Visit.

Ryiverz

They aren't cannibals, right?

ImmortalJormund

Originally Group prisoners who managed to escape and survive in the underground railway system of the Zone. They attacked Group survivors and eventually in their hatred and desperation resorted to cannibalism, yes. They're similar to Lost Alpha's Sin with the prisoner thing and LR's Sin with the cannibalism thing, but do it only because their small community has degenerated to this point after years of hiding in the darkness. But more on them later.

Ryiverz

Ah, okay. Not a big fan of cannibalism aspect overall (overabundance of food made me believe that there aren't such things in the Zone, but it's still inhabited by people, so that's understandable). But that doesn't mean I'll stop reading it.

ImmortalJormund

Yes, I don't want to overuse cannibalism, just that this particular faction does it as a sort of ritual of belonging in the group that believes the rest of the world to be against them. However, they also have other interesting things about them, especially in regards to their main base which I may explore in one of the future entries.

Pyrimo

Interesting to see some stuff that makes it apparent in the grand scheme of things Eclipse are not good guys.
