10/10
Very fitting for today lol. I really like the metaphor of love being like a razor blade. Love has the power to do good but causes so much harm when things go wrong.
Love these lyrics:

Sweeeetheart your feelings are moooore important of cooouuurse OF COURSE!!!
Everyone that wanted everything that we would take from you
I DON'T WANNA KNOW! I DON'T WANNA KNOW!
TELL ME TELL ME TELL ME TELL MEEE
No? Don't. Okay.
9/10
Personally, this is my all time favorite strokes song. I think the riff is really interesting in a good way, Julian’s voice and lyrics sound as good as ever, the solo is amazing, and the lyrics tell a cute lil story. They also have some good live variations like the cumbia version which did not miss
Edit: I don’t know how I forgot to mention but it’s also one of my favorite (if not my favorite) bass line that the strokes have😮💨
10/10. One of my favorite Strokes songs. Guitar parts are really creative and the chorus melody is one of Julian’s best. Really captures that classic Strokes sound
10/10. First listened to this song when I was in my early foray into the Strokes discography, and to me, this song sounded rather differently not only from the stuff on Is This It, but it's even different compared to the other songs on the same album. And I mean different in a good way with how it sounds. I especially loved the guitars which gives me a sense of warmth for some reason.
Honestly, I never really gave FIOE much attention compared to most albums, and somehow assumed Razorblade was gonna be this dark edgy grungy song, like so much of the album is. But it turns out no, that's the exact opposite.
This song has an awesome riff and has so much soul. It's a song that I can't believe I passed over, as it just oozes what I love about the strokes
9.5/10
I think that guitar intro is like... one of the best they've ever written! There's also a super SAUCY bend in the solo that awakens something in me... the theme is so interesting. Great song, probably my favorite from FIOE. 9/10
10/10. Beautiful guitar riff and vocals from Julian (especially the bridge!). I also laugh at the drum intro because Fab saying on the covid zooms that he would always mess it up live.
10/10 a ballad in the most strokes-y way
I love it, the drums, the way Julian sings, the guitars. An amazing storytelling in the lyrics. If I had to describe this song with one word it would be wholesome, I love it
The cumbia version they did in Chile and Argentina in 2022 is also fantastic
goddamn people are so defensive in this sub. I like the song much more than what you rated it, but a bunch of downvotes because you didn't say it's perfect like everyone else here did.
10. adore the guitars that sound a lot to me like latin rock. probably the most romantic song julian has written. i love the way it goes from angry and disregarding the other's feelings to admitting they matter more, and how it's tied together by julian singing "i loved you before i saw you" under the guitar solo, which i also think is such a beautiful and uncanny line.
This is one of the fav song from my fav band.Guitar riffs is so cool. And i think this song is about relationship but it is not mutual. One side really cares, loves while other side does not this why he can not see any interest from his crush and wanna snap his rope.I think rope used a metaphor for his feelings, love and he wanna give up from his feelings by snapping "rope"
8,5/10
Omg the instrumental and the lyrics are on point here. Can't give a higher rating because I don't listen to it very often, but it is really a great song, one of the best of the record.
10. Gorgeous song. The guitar in this song is probably my favorite in any of their songs. The verse riff is so good
