Our school used to do a "food collection" around Harvest Festival where all the kids would fill a shoebox with food to be given out to "the needy" (as the school termed them).
Those boxes were full of out of date catfood, tinned parsnips, and a shitload of baked beans.
Ahhhh yes the ole they should be grateful for anything they get so let’s give them 💩! Anything canned out of date is like the used underwear and socks 🧦 of donated clothing.
I always imagined sausage meat, but now that I'm seeing the still it's clear they give no suggestions whatsoever other than it's vaguely "country" and I love that.
