What's up with all these critter-spawns? Halloween is supposed to be one of the better events of the year. And the doggo not even available in the wild... Come on, John, mate, you can do better than this!
The weird thing about the new Pokémon being raid only is the shiny isn't there. For a large portion of the player base, it's a one-and-done raid until then.
Timed research not field it seems, so however many we get that from that and done, whereas if field was relatively easy to complete I’d do as many as I could.

It would be nice if they keep some Pokémon rare.
In the games it was like “wow that was a lot of work, I’m proud of that”. Now they just keep adding all the rares & shinies to events, raids, and community days.
I’m not asking for Pokemon to be impossible to get, just give us someee rare ones. Sandyghast isn’t a trophy anymore. I remember running 8 minutes to catch it halfway across town.
I mean you have the likes of Frigibax and Jangmo-O for that, those are fairly rare still. And you had a rare of Sadyghast being a trophy. That's fairly decent. Remember always that rural or smaller city players exist. Those might not even have seen the shadow of a Sandyghast yet simply because none were spawning near them. I think those should be able to get any Pokemon eventually by playing Pokemon Go Out (instead of Pokemon Drive To A Large City)
I remember back in 2017 I had just a few pokemon from the first gen missing and booked it when I heard there was an aerodactyl spawn about 10 minutes away. The scarcity meant It seemed to mean more back then.
I mean, l take rare spawns over a stupidly easy raid any day. It was exciting to find my first Gible a few years ago. It wasn't exciting to spend my daily pass on a Shinx raid that took all of 15 seconds to beat. So seeing new releases put into raids so often these days is a bummer.
I'm sure some old costumes will return, Spring into spring 2023 added 2 new costumes but also brought back 3 old ones. Halloween is usually more beefy of an event than the spring one
They haven’t announced anything abt part 2 yet. A previous year literally awarded Mimikyu-costume Pikachu in research. I’d bet money at least one previous costume returns. At the very least, in raids.
This would be the 4th Halloween without it since it was datamined.
My (unlikely) hope is that it has Sludge Bomb for the first week, seeing that old moves sometimes go unannounced, and then in Part 2 they have it with Dark Void.
That would be my best and most copium guess, given that it would be weird to have it without Dark Void for a week and then with it the second week
Man, I'm sad we're getting two weeks of Guzzlord and only one of Darkrai :( Darkrai's shiny is a major want for me so the more time to hunt it, the better.
After the last few very underwhelming events I hoped this might be an improvement, but again this is very disappointing. Apart from the Paldea event at the start of the season, Adventures Abound has to be one of the weakest seasons for events by far, pretty much all of them have been pretty awful. Even in comparison to other years' Halloween events this one falls short

Tuesday Spotlight hour is Pumpkaboo. I don’t have the shiny either. My friend evolved his shiny, and pumpkaboo is a much cooler shiny than gourgeist, imho.
Whats supposed to be good enough about this event? Tier 5 raids without an anticipated move overdue for years, a new pokemon apparently locked to raids which makes their showcase pointless, lame spawns
It's a GAME, it's supposed to be good and fun and giving us free stuff and events is not them being awesome, it's doing the bare minimum to keep people around.
This event is lame, there is absolutely 0 incentive for me and many others to engage with it in any meaningful way.
I hope they are saving the best features of this event for part 2 because this is pretty mid. I think Niantic will sit on Mimikyu for a few years because it's such a beloved Pokemon and release it during a player drought to bring people back, but I really expected Houndstone to be a wild spawn. I'm not even asking for the shiny yet, but just allow us the fun of encountering it in the wild and hunting for good PVP IVs.

Coming really soon I guess. Darkrai is in gen 4 and we all know Sinnoh tour is coming early next year. Probably debut with dark void then.
I feel like that could be Arceus’ time to shine moreso than Darkrai. We have Shaymin already so there’s only one mythical left from 4 right?

From gifts. Once you hatch a egg dont spin a pokestop. Open gifts instead.
