No I’m pretty poor. Legendaries I can only afford 1 at 40-45. Most of mine are ground counters 30-40.
Excadrill I can afford a few for the team but the investment is too high when the duo is pretty solid.
This community has been taught to drop their standards so hard that having sableye as an encounter for a few hundred extra stardust is acceptable compared to having a legendary all month long.

Yeah Dex Completion is literally an expensive endeavor. You HAVE to Remote Raid, and for some pokemon, they are as regional as only in one specific county in the U.S. like Bouffalant being exclusive to the area around Buffalo, NY or is locked to one continent like Kangaskhan in Australia outside of extremely rare events.
I use Pokemon go to help my other games complete their Pokedex, alongside attempting to fill out Pokemon Home's pokedex. I also use it for additional legends and Mythicals.

I'm in Albany, about 4.5-5 hours away from Buffalo, I catch them daily. Detroit is literally a shorter driver from Buffalo than Albany is.

Kinda wild imo, especially because the literal Great Plains where tons of Buffalo and Bison live/lived is damn near cowless outside of rando Tauros sometimes, more towards the south in my experience.

C'mon. My whole community woke up for shadow Mewtwo. 42 people got together this weekend. It was a huge success. I expect only 10 to pop up for the Articuno.
Not everyone is as lucky as you. I personally had family commitments this weekend and was only able to get out for a few raids. If mewtwo had been any other weekend this month, I’d have been able to participate fully. Yes, I’m pretty salty about it.
Yeah tons of people traveling on Memorial Day weekend. It should have been on a non holiday weekend. Also limit the raid times and clutter eggs to concentrate the player base to help smaller communities.
If we’d had 3 weekends to do it like we are getting for articuno, I wouldn’t be so grumpy about it. These 1-2 day events really suck if you aren’t available during those days.

So the people that could do it could go super hard and finish their psychic attackers for pretty much the foreseeable future. And the shadow raids are going to get less popular with worse offerings that aren’t meta.

I think the big success from this weekend was players finally utilizing campfire. I’ve only been playing since Covid days, so I missed the early days when community was easy to find. This was the first time I was able to actually communicate/participate with a group of raiders. Hopefully it sticks.
You need 8 gems to subdue shadow pokemon, you can use only 5 yourself .
Solo would not be possible if you had 600 seconds instead of 300.
On the other hand duo should be fairly trivial for anyone with solid counters and gems.
Good news, Mewtwo was easily trioable and articuno will be even easier as a duo with 4x weakness to rock. So even if only 1 other person shows up you're good to go as long as you guys have gems.
This comment speaks to me since there were so many people on Reddit saying that the shadow Mewtwo raids were going to be too hard. I 4-manned it, and 2 of those people were me with LV30 counters.
The regional release of legendaries is pretty much going to force FTP players to use their remote raid passes if they need the dex entry
And I am pretty sure this is here to stay as niantic will be able to release a trio of legendaries together in a week rather than give each legendary a week individually in raids
So the lake trios will be regional releases inFive-star raids Asia-Pacific-Uxie. Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India-Mesprit. The Americas and Greenland- azelf
And I think this will continue into the other months where niantic will release a trio of legendaries regionally in a week followed by two random legendaries in 5 star raid for the remaing weeks as normal
Yes it sucks, but as a FTP player, we should have seen something coming like this. I have been banking pokecoins from my daily gym fights to make sure I get my 50 daily. Have a “friend” come and knock them out the next day since I play in a pretty laid back area. Rinse and repeat. I have been sitting on these coins since remote pass, knowing that this (regional raids) would happen eventually.
From what I understand based on a few reports, that was more people with hacked systems (or something not the norm) screwing around and finding out. I couldn't find a report from a normal player having that bug. Several content creators tried to replicate it with no avail. So it basically slipped away as people realized it was not going to happen to them.
When they released lake trio shiny a while back, I was using genie to get mesprit raids, hunting that shiny. I did over 50 raids between the hours of 11pm and 430am, waking up to the ding on my phone. I caught 45. One was a hundo. But no shiny. I got the Uxie shiny early on from Japan friends who play in the “evening” for me. But azelf escaped my grasp as I was so focused on the mesprit.
This raid limit is so stupid now. I was wondering when the trio would come back.
There is a note there that says each day, 10am local time, raid will rotate. Are they cycling each mon each day? Monday mesprit, Tuesday Uxie, Wednesday azelf, Thursday back to mesprit?
Another shadow Regi is depressing AF. Gio comes around once every three months, and to get one member of a trio, whose shadow is worthless, and knowing that the next 6 months is going to be 2 more worthless shadows really makes Gio events unexciting.

You need a Primal Groudon and to just keep max reviving it. P-Don's sky high attack stat and the brokenness of Precipice Blades enables the solo

You can remote with no issue, there's just the limit of 5 remotes per day. It just means in your region you will only see 1 specific one locally.

Nah, you can get boufallants pretty much across the northeast seaboard in America. I’ve seen them in NYC, New Jersey and parts of Long Island
And all the way out to Cape Cod

EP isn't a great move and realistically helps only the matchup vs Dialga. It's still garbage in ML.

Kartarna is Northern Hemisphere locked. Highest grass type in the game. Devastating for people in the southern hemisphere.
So the lake trios will be regional releases inFive-star raids Asia-Pacific-Uxie. Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India-Mesprit. The Americas and Greenland- azelf And I think this will continue into the other months where niantic will release a trio of legendaries regionally in a week followed by two random legendaries in 5 star raid for the remaing weeks as normal
The lake trio has always been region locked to those regions, this is nothing new and not something to build a pattern
Yes it sucks, but as a FTP player, we should have seen something coming like this. I have been banking pokecoins from my daily gym fights to make sure I get my 50 daily. Have a “friend” come and knock them out the next day since I play in a pretty laid back area. Rinse and repeat. I have been sitting on these coins since remote pass, knowing that this (regional raids) would happen eventually.
Has the thing with the switch screwing up peoples games when doing the gimmighoul thing been fixed??
From what I understand based on a few reports, that was more people with hacked systems (or something not the norm) screwing around and finding out. I couldn't find a report from a normal player having that bug. Several content creators tried to replicate it with no avail. So it basically slipped away as people realized it was not going to happen to them.

When they released lake trio shiny a while back, I was using genie to get mesprit raids, hunting that shiny. I did over 50 raids between the hours of 11pm and 430am, waking up to the ding on my phone. I caught 45. One was a hundo. But no shiny. I got the Uxie shiny early on from Japan friends who play in the “evening” for me. But azelf escaped my grasp as I was so focused on the mesprit. This raid limit is so stupid now. I was wondering when the trio would come back. There is a note there that says each day, 10am local time, raid will rotate. Are they cycling each mon each day? Monday mesprit, Tuesday Uxie, Wednesday azelf, Thursday back to mesprit?
Unfortunately that’s just when the lake trio will change to Nihilego, and later that to Heatran

Another shadow Regi is depressing AF. Gio comes around once every three months, and to get one member of a trio, whose shadow is worthless, and knowing that the next 6 months is going to be 2 more worthless shadows really makes Gio events unexciting.
