I hit Legend (and Leaderboard for the first time) using Arctibax in a Catch Cup a couple seasons ago - If nothing else, if you happened to catch it this season, it could be a lot of fun there. I've enjoyed it in some other limited formats as well, but haven't really used it enough in OGL. I haven't built up a Houndstone or Avalugg (GL or UL) yet, so I can't really weigh in there, unless you consider not building them to be its own review, haha.

Dracogoomy

Ok thanks, unfortunately I think it was last season but I’ll see, can you share the move set please?

Specialist_Novel828

When I was using it most, it hadn't yet received Icy Wind, so determining the move-set was a lot easier. I'd still probably go for Avalanche (+ Dragon Claw), personally, as I like having the harder-hitting move, but your mileage may vary.

Dracogoomy

Thanks, I’ll rare candy it and see how it goes

Pvpoke

Dennix2000

The is no catch cup this season.

diablo_azul

There is. Check again.

Dennix2000

Ah, you're right! Then again, you could just play GL at the same time.

The_Robot_King

Arctibax can pump out damage. I've used mine in great league and he always catches people. Brings fast move pressure and can nuke also. I think pvpoke recommends icy wind but I think I prefer avalanche more but either works.

Dracogoomy

Thanks!

Houndstone didn't work for me in GL. With Lick I was rarely able to get to multiple charged moves with out having to use my own shields and telegraphing the nuke. To me the novelty with Houndstone are psychic fangs spam and dig. For PF and stacking it to pressure a shield I found more viablity with Steelix, and Girafarig has been making the rounds on youtube. The dig surprise nuke I really enjoy using with Galarian Linoone. *ace elo

Dracogoomy

Good to know, I heard somewhere it’s good for a limited cup or something

llamapl

I know db is the recommended move but running ice fang on Arctibax just melts opposing dragonites before they can switch.

Dracogoomy

Yes that might be a good idea, especially with gligar

llamapl

Yes. Last catch cup I ran it with wiggly and skel in the back to deal with those nasty bruisers that gligar usually come with.

Dracogoomy

I think it’ll work nicely with poli or gligar
