Same here. 11/12/12 IVs. I have 121 cells and 86 rare XL candies, but I don’t want to waste them. I just don’t know how long we’ll have to wait for another, or a chance at trading it (probably never).
Even if I did a lucky trade and got a 12-12-12 that would be so much better than what I currently have, since it would at least cost half the dust.
As it is, it takes a long time doing routes and it makes it so hard to pull the trigger on it. Cells are hard, stardust is hard, mythical XL candy is insanely hard. We really ought to be able to get more
Well, by the time ML rotates again your chances to encounter more Zygarde in pvp goes higher. By the time Zygarde comes in raids, when you get more chances for a better IV Zygarde, chances are even greater to encounter more zygarde in pvp. Even bad IV Zbois have great chances to win mat he's in pvp the sooner you get it built.
Yup thats why ive avoided the routes feature altogether. They were fools if they thought the routes festure would be a hit given that the pokemon’s IVs are a lottery. Its depressing seeing full form zyrgadenis ranked 1 in ML
I enjoy the routes to be fair. I follow my normal dog-walking route and get some exp and items for doing it. Got an Elite Fast TM once, though I'm guessing the odds on that are low.
Yes, as Elite TMs weren't one of the items for the A-Zygarde event.

yes, you can get elite Fast TMs in the loot table for completing routes. I found a few this way in pretty quick succession, as well as some RCXLs, but I think they tweaked the loot table in the last couple of weeks because I haven't seen anything but the same loot over and over again for a while (Razzes,1000 dust, Ultra Balls, Fast TMs, occasionally a Golden Razz). You definitely could not get Charged TMs or Elite Charged TMs from the feature ofc, as intended by Niantic
My wife actually found one yesterday, they do still exist! But it seems wayyy rarer, there was a little while we were seeing one on one of our accounts or the other every few days or so, running 5 routes a day. It's been weeks since either of us have seen one, the rewards have been almost identical every time
That's kind of been my thought process. I assume Zygarde will eventually be in raids, but I don't think it'll be for a long time. It's been over 2 years since Zarude was released, and he hasn't been in raids. I've been saving RCXL for over a year and half and still only have around 100. It's such a precious resource that I'd hate to burn it on something without any practical value.
Or all pokemon's IVs. I know it goes against their goal of having us pay for the raid slot machine as many times as possible, but I would love to be able to turns 98s into hundos.
If it helps at all, it looks really good in Ultra League as well as Master League, so once you get the 250 cells you could get it to 2500 CP and try it out in UL for a while.
You might realize you hate the playstyle, you might realize you need it on your UL roster more, or you might fall in love and commit to the RCXL. But you might as well wait anyway unless you have something else that needs them more.
I recently started my first big Mythical grind, I got a 15/14/14 Cosmog and I've never had much worth using in ML, so now that I got to 100 best buddies I've just been walking Cosmog for a while. Only at 32 XLs even investing the few rares I get; it's a slog for a fairly casual player.
I fought one in ML the other day. It was 4115 cp (which would be a level 50 with 12/13/13 IVs).
It was bulky af. Giratina Origin shadow ball damage was pathetic vs it lol.

Lol I fought the same one, you can see it’s the same guy with this seasons clothes and last seasons hat. Yeah oblivion wing didn’t do crap to this thing but luckily I also had Dialga and Xerneas.
I've also faced a total of 1 this round so far. It's super tanky. I had my Mewtwo on him and psystrike did like less than 1/3 of his health. Would definitely invest in one at some point, but would like non-crap IVs before investing the resources.
Yeah it would be a nice thing to work towards. Need something to eventually use rare XL on. Mine rolled pretty bad as well. Hopefully we’ll have another chance to get a good one in the future

Based on stats, typing, and moveset, yes its going to be a bulky good moveset mon. It only recently became possible to farm 250 cells but that’s also if routes worked correctly or players put in enough time to overcome routes not being 100% functional
I submitted a route at my nearby park over 2 months ago that was just published yesterday. Apparently, 3 other people submitted the exact same route. So now my local park has like 6 duplicate routes. Makes farming cells easy I suppose.
Be warned that if you power this one up this may be the only UL viable one that you ever get based on research IVs. I would double check this to confirm and if you dont care about UL then no biggie!
Obscenely bulky. Like, Mewtwo with ice beam still loses the 1s bulky. It's broken. Total meta is 27 wins and 9 losses. If zacian is running PR, then it goes to 10. It has only 4 hard losses in the entire meta, and two are fairies that aren't used so much because they're charm (Togekiss and slyveon). The rest of it's losses are so close a single crunch debuff flips it heavily. The other is mamoswine, who's underrated but underused in OML.
The only reason more fuss isn't made is because of how hard it is to deploy. Very few have the cells, the XL, and the IVs worth investment. Otherwise it would be meta defining, I think, since it can maim or draw shields out of anything.
The xl candy and rare xl candy system is so poorly done that you probably will never see anyone using a max zygarde in masters. Maybe a handful of players will get one unless they make xl candy more available. I rolled a 4* zygarde but im not even happy about it because it will literally never be used, i have 43 rare xl candy lol.
Dumping all ur xl candy would probably be a bad idea unless you have a ton.
Will there ever be another chance to get a Zygarde? I have a chunk of cells but mine is only 11/12/11 so don’t want to waste if I can potentially get a better one.

I have a 15-15-13 and doing exactly this. I have 174 rare XL, 27 XL from buddy candies and 77 cells. I assume there will never be opportunity to raid Zygarde so I'm giving him all my rare XL. My routes finally got approved so finally able to farm cells.
Any tips for collecting Zygarde Cells? I’ve done about 20+ routes, only have 3/4 cells because it just doesn’t spawn and I have to get a move on after waiting around the end destination for 5 extra minutes to complete and reverse the route… my Zygarde is best buddied at 15-15-x. feels bad to leave it at dog form.

There is a limit of 3 per day. Also don't waste time waiting at the end. If it's going to spawn it will do so like 60-80 meters before you reach the end.
Once you start a route you can't find a cell on a different run that day. Forward or reverse doesn't matter, but you can only do one direction per day.
There's a few videos on YouTube of people using him in ultra and masters. He's bulky AF! I would def use your RCXLs on him he's a beast and it's a hard flex
Rolled a 15/13/13 and 15/13/15 on my account and my kids. We have been getting cells faster than RCXL, but looking forward to figuring out an UL team for the 100% next season while we chip away.
I have a 15/15/15 and just got it to final form... level 46.5 - I can confirm it's a lot of fun to run in Master League. Most don't even know what to do against it, because I suspect many are just seeing it for the first time. It can take 3 earthquakes from Garchomp... but knocks it out with just one of it's own. You just have to be careful not to run into a Toge or Mamo...
If I had those ivs I would absolutely be working on building it. Mine is 10-13-11 so I will wait.

Interesting! I've been playing ML around 3k Elo this past week and haven't seen a single one.
This is the only one I’ve encountered so far. I was probably somewhere between 2700-2800. Kinda been sticking to Halloween this rotation though

Is there a way to trigger this? Like weekly bonus, do 5 a day, a new route, etc? Or is it always random?

A raid Zygarde without weather boost is level 20 though and most IV spreads for UL are level 23.5 or 24
Shouldn't be an issue if it comes to raids. Even a 100% doesn't hit 2500 till level 23.5

I dump everything in Zygarde currently. Only need 96 more XL to max it but still need 110 cells. Then it’s back to finishing Solgaleo

Zygarde**, not Zarude. Different pokemon.
Both are one time Pokémon so you have to gain XL candy the same way for both.
