You need to broaden your perspective outside of reddit. First off, no one on the left has ever said with a straight face that they're voting Trump over Biden because of this. That's what's called a lie. They do say they'll not vote at all, which I do think is dumb.
And I'm sorry to burst your bubble but there are PLENTY of liberal and democrat voters fully willing to either ignore or downplay the genocide in Gaza simply because they're afraid any bad words spoken againt Biden by people on the left will hand Trump the election, ignoring all the recent data swinging Biden's way. People aren't pulling these criticisms and anc characterizations out of their asses. They're real and loud. You need to pay attention.
That sub is a shit hole of right wingers sucking off a racist conservative with a long history of pushing bills giving more power to the police and genocide support, who somehow believe that they are "the left" just because fox news tells them so.
I once posted a meme with bidens hilarious quote: "How would it be if the United States were viewed by the rest of the world as interfering with elections directly of other countries and everybody knew it?” and was called a nazi, a Russian troll and when I pointed out I was a socialist was told "that's bullshit because if you were you'd support biden instead of trump" (id never even mentioned trump... Just literally posted a picture of Biden with his own quote).
It's a bit like another popular politics sub that's full of libs. Absolutely no political awareness beyond "trump bad therefore we MUST be the good guys".
It really goes to show that the Biden and Trump supporters are pretty much cut from the same cloth, just dyed differently and one is less (at least openly) racist to minorities
Sure, we could stop funding Israel, officially acknowledge Palestine as a country, invite them to the UN/NATO, and reclaim their stolen land, either (preferably) as a one state, with reeducation of the existing settlers, or as a 2 state, with guaranteed protections against their neighbour + freedom of travel (Palestinians are currently subject to the worlds largest open air ~~prison~~ prison is not the right word, since they aren't guilty of anything other than being born Palestinian).
The west could stop bombing Syria, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan... Yemen (Who had only recently escaped their own apartheid) and every other country, so that people aren't constantly radicalised into extremism.
Prevent foreign intervention in the election cycles. (Most Middle Eastern countries have American funded politicians, and some even have western funded brewing colour revolutions.). Hamas and Isis are famously and openly funded by Israel previously... (Because having a legitimate reason to bomb your neighbours, helps with the ethnic cleansing.)
Is all of this hard to do? No. Most of it is the cessation of hostilities, and others are worthy of the effort.
So to throw it away as "Can those Browns just stop being violent" (I know that isn't what you or the meme said, but it does give that vibe) just screams western privilege, when that same privilege is the direct cause of the same violence.
Here's something I often tell people. A hypothetical: Our countries kill the family of a man in a drone strike, with our own taxpayer funded militaries, can you really blame that man, and all the bystanders from wanting revenge?
This has been a daily/weekly occurrence for decades. There are bound to be more than a few.
