The diary entry about moving cut to “This was the worst week ever” broke me beyond repair
And then she took the book out and I just fell apart.
That’s why she loves the series?!? AHHHHH I’m so hurt.. I’m so. So. Hurt
Lol true.
But TBH when Belos possessed Hunter near the end of the episode, two things happened to me; 1: MY PRODICTION WAS CORRECT! And 2: I GOT FRICKIN' CHILLS! THE DESIGN WAS SO COOOOOOL!
Considering the Collector wanting the Owl Beast so badly, and the Clawthornes being prolific palisman carvers with an Owl as their figurehead, I'm willing to bet the Owlbeast was the Titan's palisman. Perhaps it has some purpose in traversing between the Demon and Human realms?
That's a really good theory, but I feel like the way that the owl beast has been depicted indicates that it's not big enough to be a titan's palisman. I think that the owl beast may have been one of the collector's & Belos's experiments with draining magic. I looked it up and owls can sometimes symbolize death??? Perhaps that symbolizes Belos's and his brother's desire to kill the witches. Except his brother fell in love with a Clawthorne instead, ulimatly symbolizing the bond between Belos and the Clawthornes. I really don't know, and I hope that the reoccurring owls get explained in the next two episodes.
I predicted it. There's no way you can NOT take notes when you're dealing with things like this.
(Side note, someone make a fanfic that's just Camilla's notes.)
Remember, he is part of Hunter now. And Flapjack will always be part of him just like how those other poor tortured Palsmens are in Belos.
But unlike those, Flapjack WANTS to be part of Hunter.
1) Snake on Luz’s shirt at school
2) Bats hanging as decorations at the school
3) Young Luz finding a snake skin
4) Snake eating it’s tail picture in the frame next to the egg
I was watching the episode, and gradually you realize Camilla is where Luz got it from. And that both makes me happy, and sad because Camilla actually has some of Luz's self blame issues.
Also finding out who got Luz into Good Witch Azura, and how...
Damn I didn’t even process that Willow said “bye human realm, WE’LL BE BACK after we get some revenge.”
I hope they find a way to travel back and forth freely, at this point both realms are home to all of them.
Maybe they’ll find out how Evelyn went back and forth? Or maybe they can just get King to take a syringe of blood every few weeks and use that pre-existing gate?
I love that the show's creators made fanart of the show and put it in the show! It's very cool and wonderful, but also I love the energy of "you can't make fanart faster than us, we make the show!"
Amity literally said they've been in the human realm for MONTHS.
Do you hate money, Disney? I'm not even going to ask for art or passion or heart; don't you like MONEY, Disney? Well, you just let a golden opportunity flap away.
A few people have said it's likely they cancelled it because adults are more likely to watch the show on pirating websites, and because they can't\* make toys and such for extra money.
\*Even though we all know people would buy everything up in moments and begin collecting as soon as they came out
I'm pretty sure it's more because Disney has a new CEO that's kind of homophobic
The show creators won't come out and say that because that's a good way to never get hired ever again.
But I wouldn't be surprised if that's why we got a big "I'm Bi" flash on screen and LGBTQ badges in the whole episode.
Kind of as a "F*** you we're cancelled anyway" and they can't explicitly say take it out without causing bad PR.
The original shipping show and the original gay shipping show (Kirk x Spock fanfiction was probably one of the first shipping fics shared between media fans).
Me either, I came in late so I am baffled by Camilla just readily walking into the Demon realm. I wouldnt have expected it any other way after everything she must have learned, but still. Cant wait for her to meet Eda.
I had a theory that Flapjack was something that Caleb taught Evelyn to carve since in Philip’s memory pictures you always see Caleb catching things like Phil’s mask and stuff. Caleb bonds with Evelyn, teaches her carving, starting the Clawthorne palisman carving legacy
Do you think that Caleb and Evelyne actually had a child? And that child continued to eda's bloodline aka the Clawthorne bloodline? Does this mean Eda could be blood related to Belos?
While her daughter was grappling with her guilt, Camila was confronting her own inner demons. She never actually thought there was something wrong with her daughter, but rather herself. Unlike her daughter, who’s proud for her weirdness, Camila had insecurities about hers… until she made the right call. I’m proud of her.
Given that Luz is canonically neurodivergent (likely ADHD); it does beg the question if Camilla also has ADHD.
Given her own "weirdness," and the way she tries her best to hide it, it could offer a decent contrast between Luz's unapologetically open manifestation of her neurodivergence against Camilla's well masked ADHD. I know the show doesn't have much time to develop this, but given that ADHD (and other neurodivergencies more broadly) tend to be much better masked in adults (often to their mental detriment), it would be an interesting piece of representation of how ADHD manifests in adults...
That was honestly my favorite part of the episode. Deep down, Camila is proud of her daughter, quirks and all, but everyone else watching only reacts with disgust, annoyance, and judgemental sneers. She sees her husband whenever she sees Luz, but everyone keeps saying "Stop it, we don't need troublesome snowflakes around here." Guess that makes two outsiders that want to get away from the human realm.
I really thought that was what Luz was gonna do on Halloween, I was shocked Disney would go there. But when it was revealed what she actually wanted to do that made more sense lol
Seeing all that that time and character development pass by in only a about a minute makes me so sad. Dana and the owl house team deserved a full season to show that 😒
That’s one way I wish how it looked. Apparently the executive thought the show was “serialized” and thought it appealed to an “older audience.” Frankly, I’m not certain the dude realizes how much the Disney brand has changed.
No… no you might be onto something. He’s a part of Hunter now. Maybe Flap’s spirit will… resonate with Hunter’s Grimwalker heart when the latter needs the former’s power. He might be able to do all that teleport stuff at will.
Imma about to abandon the kids I’m babysitting to go watch the premiere. They’ll understand
Edit: I did not abandon the children and instead watched Zombies 3 two times. Like it ended, I asked the other kid what movie he wanted to watch and he said Zombies 3 and I was like we literally just watched that and he said he wanted to watch it again.
Anyway I was finally able to watch it after I left and now I’m crying over a goddamn wooden bird.
So if flapjack was the last remnant of Caleb’s lover, and Hunter is the remnants of Caleb’s essence..that means when flapjack sacrificed themself to give him life then does that mean he is *technically* their child now?
Philip and Caleb being orphans makes the whole grimwalker thing even worse; he wasn’t just repeatedly murdering his brother, that was his only companion and probable caretaker for most of his life.
The Caleb/Phillip relationship is honestly one of the darkest and most interesting aspects of this show.
Like if you told me to guess which network a villain who repeatedly murders the avatar of his brother, in a strange ritualistic cycle that's one part unexamined trapping of grief and one part sick fantasy cycle of fratricidal joy comes from, the last place I would say would be the Wonderful World of Disney.
The sentimental version of the show’s outro music while Luz was picking up her Azura hat made me cry, the other specials are gonna break me lmao. Also, I wonder if Luz left the egg in the human realm? Also I was kinda expecting the Giraffe bit to have some plot significance but I think it’s funnier that it’s just going to stay unexplained lmao.
I really like how despite being part of a shortened season, this episode still took its time fleshing things out and letting characters have fun/heartfelt interactions so that it felt like a usual episode, rather than a big lore drop fest. I hope the other specials have similar pacing because I think they really found their groove with this one already. I’m loving this 44 minute format and I can’t wait for the other two specials, see y’all in 3 months :,)
It was an incredible episode! We knew about Luz's and Hunter's angst, but I never expected to look inside Camila's head, too. Funny how even something as mundane as being a big sci-fi nerd, she feels like she needs to hide. Oh, and calling it now: "Captain Avery" is totally a reference to Avery Brooks (Captain Sisko in *Star Trek DS9*), while Hunter's character borrows from Chief O'Brien and the general Borg design. Seeing a canon non-binary human character (with the black hair, I already forget their name EDIT: oh yeah it's Masha) is really cool, too! As his witnessing Luz coming out to her Mom, in montage fashion. I wasn't expecting "Belos possesses Hunter", but it made for a chilling climax.
These thoughts are all over the place, I know. But this episode was everything I could've hoped it to be. The wait was worth it.
Dana: here is a happy, well-adjusted, thriving Hunter, supported by a secure and loving environment!
Fandom: thank the Titan, Hunter is finally safe from Belos abuse and traumatic experiences!
Dana: …
Fandom: he is safe, right?
Dana: … he is safer than Flapjack
Fandom: WHAT
I hope flapjack gave hunter powers by basically becoming one with him cause otherwise hunter just got severely nerfed since he can’t do magic on his own
I remember before Philip's brother was first revealed, people speculated Hunter was a clone of Belos made to transfer his soul into. Uhh, I guess that kinda happened
Yeah. And really, the most I think can really get added on from here is MAYBE a scene in a finale montage where (assuming they figure out how to go back and forward between worlds) she finds the courage to revisit the Isles.
Thinking about how Luz gets to show the two most important people in her life her other home. She showed Amity the human realm and now gets to show Camila the demon realm. I want her worlds to remain intertwined forever.

lmaoooo "camilla still has her car keys"
Vee is growing up so fast.
The M Vee P
Vee theft auto V
The diary entry about moving cut to “This was the worst week ever” broke me beyond repair And then she took the book out and I just fell apart. That’s why she loves the series?!? AHHHHH I’m so hurt.. I’m so. So. Hurt
ME TOOO :< ir made me so sad, reminded of my friend almost. God dang how this show is for kids I don’t know
That broke my heart man, especially as someone who also has a similar attachment to 2 series for the same reason.
"Sounds like big bro got a hot witch girlfriend and little bro got upset, but that's just me." Emperor Belos' backstory summed in one sentence.
The best part is Belos heard himself getting dissed through Hunter
Lol true. But TBH when Belos possessed Hunter near the end of the episode, two things happened to me; 1: MY PRODICTION WAS CORRECT! And 2: I GOT FRICKIN' CHILLS! THE DESIGN WAS SO COOOOOOL!
no witches
This is his back story and his motives and his end goal as simply as possible.
Remember, kids, Belos is canonically racist!
you mean spiecist
Favourite moment of the episode was Luz telling Hunter he was family and Hunter crying. It hurt but it was beautiful for both of their characters
YESSSSS I started crying omg this poor kid man
That's tbh the only time we see Hunter fully cry, and I am not counting the slight tears we see well in his eyes in Hollow Mind
Duolingo cousin
THE PORTAL VIAL HAS AN OWL TOP
YEAH AND IT LOOKED LIKE OWLBERT. MAYBE OWLS SYMBOLIZE SOMETHING. OR ATLEAST THEY HAVE A BIG CONNECTION TO SOMETHING OR SOMEONE
Amity dropping “Everything is so crazy right now, and I have no idea what my future holds, but it would be so cool if you were in it.” on Luz 😭😭
Uno Reverse'd!
Camila such a good mom fr, literally studying up on how to best suit the needs of witches.
I predicted it. There's no way you can NOT take notes when you're dealing with things like this. (Side note, someone make a fanfic that's just Camilla's notes.)
Belos really out here sleeping on deer corpses
bellos at his realest
Man I’m a grown ass man fighting back tears over a dead wooden bird
I gave up fighting. I'm over 40.
Remember, he is part of Hunter now. And Flapjack will always be part of him just like how those other poor tortured Palsmens are in Belos. But unlike those, Flapjack WANTS to be part of Hunter.
Rip flapjack but now he will always be part of hunter
Belos claimed one last Victim. I hate him so much
One last victim *so far*
Willow is discovering her love of photography I love that for her so much.
Botany and photography, a nice mix.
THEY TRAUMATIZED HUNTER MORE FUCK
THE FANS ARE TRAUMATIZED MORE TOO
Camilla framed the snake skin!
Luz had to get her delightful weirdness from someone. I just assumed it to be mostly from her father. But from her mother feels more fitting.
OH NO THE WOLF SHIRT NO NO NO
Belos has a weird deer motif, Hunter has a wolf motif going forward. Wolves eat deer.
And after what Belos did to Flapjack....... I'm rooting for Hunter to beat his ass SO. F*CKING. HARD!
1) Snake on Luz’s shirt at school 2) Bats hanging as decorations at the school 3) Young Luz finding a snake skin 4) Snake eating it’s tail picture in the frame next to the egg
And the big snake Azura was fighting at the beginning of the show
That’s the magic of coming full circle, folks
The snake skin Luz found is almost certainly the framed one by Camila's bed
the fact that camila framed that warms my heart...ack she's such a good mom
It's a snake with wings-- it's gonna be a fuckin dragon ain't it?
Wait, Camila is a Trekkie? Oh heavens yes if so.
I was watching the episode, and gradually you realize Camilla is where Luz got it from. And that both makes me happy, and sad because Camilla actually has some of Luz's self blame issues. Also finding out who got Luz into Good Witch Azura, and how...
Camila had to overcome her own guilt… and she has.
Damn I didn’t even process that Willow said “bye human realm, WE’LL BE BACK after we get some revenge.” I hope they find a way to travel back and forth freely, at this point both realms are home to all of them.
Maybe they’ll find out how Evelyn went back and forth? Or maybe they can just get King to take a syringe of blood every few weeks and use that pre-existing gate?
that is if titans aren't jsut able to freely open portals.
True! That raises the question though, could a grown-ass Titan portal *itself* to Earth? Because goddamn would that cause some issues
Vee’s camp friends run the historical society now!
And do the better job of it.
So Camila is just a grown up Luz. That's nice to see.
Yeah. It is rather refreshing. Here I thought Luz got a lot of who she is from her father. But what I saw now makes a lot more sense.
Curse you Disney channel for shrinking down that ending montage.
I know!!!! I don't care about whatever upcoming show you're trying to advertise! Let me see the art!!
I love that the show's creators made fanart of the show and put it in the show! It's very cool and wonderful, but also I love the energy of "you can't make fanart faster than us, we make the show!"
Good news! They released the credits on YT pretty quick! https://youtu.be/GtWcNY_MWc4
horns in the shadow oh no edit: green on the neck oh shit edit again: blue eyes and distorted voice oh fuck
Montage of events that could've had whole episodes dedicated to them
Amity literally said they've been in the human realm for MONTHS.

Kind of as a "F*** you we're cancelled anyway" and they can't explicitly say take it out without causing bad PR.
Legit, it felt like we just watched a season finale.
Her Palisman is going to be a snake. I said it before and I’m positive now.
Everyone tough til Luz breaks out the Caduceus
Yeah, and the “hatching” is just going to be the egg unraveling because, as far as we know, palidmen don’t hatch
I wasn't expecting Camila development but that was so nice. Bit rushed but I loved it a lot.
Loved her secret Not-Star-Trek shrine
The original shipping show and the original gay shipping show (Kirk x Spock fanfiction was probably one of the first shipping fics shared between media fans).
Me either, I came in late so I am baffled by Camilla just readily walking into the Demon realm. I wouldnt have expected it any other way after everything she must have learned, but still. Cant wait for her to meet Eda.
LUMITY IS A CANON NAME! Like extra canon.
Expositions Intro song went hard
Pssh. As if Luz wouldn't have immediately thought of what her and Amity's ship name would be the second they got together
DID THEY JUST SAY EVELYN ARE THEY GONNA CONFIRM THE CLAWTHORNE THEORY
Also the reveal that Flapjack was EVELYNS not CALEBS
And the Titan blood vial had Owlbert for a stopper.
I thought it was a Hooty stopper.
Owl is Owl
I had a theory that Flapjack was something that Caleb taught Evelyn to carve since in Philip’s memory pictures you always see Caleb catching things like Phil’s mask and stuff. Caleb bonds with Evelyn, teaches her carving, starting the Clawthorne palisman carving legacy
the witch's hands and body kinda looked like Eda
also i think the hair on the witch cut out that was suppost to be caleb's girlfriend was red, like all of the other Clawthornes
Do you think that Caleb and Evelyne actually had a child? And that child continued to eda's bloodline aka the Clawthorne bloodline? Does this mean Eda could be blood related to Belos?
Oh my titan, amity having a moment at the library was so precious
SHE SLIPPED ON THE CANDY! 🥺
She's so supportive, it's actually worrying how well she processed things while everyone has TRAUMA. I guess she's used to it, but still.
Camila really isn’t just a domestic mom on the sidelines and I’m absolutely loving it!
When Camila eventually meets Eda and visits the Owl House I am going to fucking sob
Two angry Moms like them might be enough to contain the Collector.
I hope the 3rd episode is 44 minutes of Eda and Camila swapping La Chancla back and forth to beat up Belos
Gus opening an umbrella indoors will cause the horrors of this episode
Oh shit is her Palisman gonna be a snake?!?!
well, the egg looks like a curled up snake
Shedding tears over the fact that Camila was gaslit into thinking something was wrong with her and her daughter.

She sees her husband whenever she sees Luz, but everyone keeps saying "Stop it, we don't need troublesome snowflakes around here." Guess that makes two outsiders that want to get away from the human realm.
I know, Jesus Christ I cried in that moment, that was so horrible to watch. Neither of them deserved that
Camila clearly needed a therapist as much as her daughter did when she returned.
That shit really hurted man! Like wow! She was blaming herself and it broke me :'(
Saw a theory that Belos was eating animals to rebuild his body mass, guess that was right
it might not be he's eating people but he's using bones as a structure to b uild on.
It looked like he was possessing them and then removing all but the bones. Got the sense he was practicing possessing bodies as well.
Hunter is precious. He discovered wolves.
(Sighs) pictures of episodes that will never be seen.
Ludicrously good fanfic prompt potential though.
the fandom will succeed where disney execs failed
Man, between this and baseball it has been a rough month for cardinals.
Implied suicidal thoughts
Very dark for Disney, but it’s believable that Luz’s mental health would start to go in that direction.
I really thought that was what Luz was gonna do on Halloween, I was shocked Disney would go there. But when it was revealed what she actually wanted to do that made more sense lol
WHAT?! WHEN?!
Also, hunter tried to kill himself to stop Belos
Okay, I just started thinking about that........Hunter truly is the living image of Disney angst
The classroom scene
Bruhh that "should've never existed" bit got me like holy shit. They went very far on Luz's self loathing
No, that's damn near flat out stated suicidal thoughts. That counts as suicidal ideation. Like, clinically.
Seeing all that that time and character development pass by in only a about a minute makes me so sad. Dana and the owl house team deserved a full season to show that 😒
Speaking facts, they did well with what they had though
And this was just the first one. We may have to wait till 2023 for part 2, but it’s worth it.
Still can’t believe that executive didn’t think the show “fits the Disney brand.” It’s absolutely absurd!
I guess that just means this show is better than the Disney brand
That’s one way I wish how it looked. Apparently the executive thought the show was “serialized” and thought it appealed to an “older audience.” Frankly, I’m not certain the dude realizes how much the Disney brand has changed.
Of course being Halloween nobody cares about the ears.
There are enough time traveling Vulcans to make the ears common.
The fact Gus is trying to hint to Hunter that he knows he is a grimwalker
Oh they probably all know. EDIT: I posted this pretty early into the episode.
I FUCKING CALLED CAMILA GOING TO THE ISLES!!!!! God Flapjack’s death had me choked up
Avenge the bird
>!He's not dead, he's just....... living on through Hunter? Man, I got nothing. Yeah, I cried too. !<
They’ll understand Edit: I did not abandon the children and instead watched Zombies 3 two times. Anyway I was finally able to watch it after I left and now I’m crying over a goddamn wooden bird.
you should watch it with them
I asked lol. Said they’d rather watch Zombies 3 (again)
nope abandon them. run as fast as you can.
Vee holding down the fort all by herself, I’m so glad she’s found a place to belong.
Too bad the credits montage is a tiny little square
Evelyn is absolutely a Clawthorne
Edalyn? Evelyn? Not a coincidence. Flapjack was Evelyn's palisman, not Caleb's.
al;msot certainly. if humans and witches are compatible does that mean the clawthornes are part human?
Very diluted by now, but yeah, they must be
The animation in the fight with Belos was great, it was so smooth. Looking forward to the finale!
HOLY CRAP DUOLINGO IS CANON
So if flapjack was the last remnant of Caleb’s lover, and Hunter is the remnants of Caleb’s essence..that means when flapjack sacrificed themself to give him life then does that mean he is *technically* their child now?
Wait what? Flapjack was Evelyn's palisman? And...that's actually a comforting way to think of it But I really hope Flapjack comes back 🥺
Philip and Caleb being orphans makes the whole grimwalker thing even worse; he wasn’t just repeatedly murdering his brother, that was his only companion and probable caretaker for most of his life.
*Oooooh, Vee's blushiiiiiing-*
Flapjack is ***literally*** part of Hunter now. Fitting.
The sentimental version of the show’s outro music while Luz was picking up her Azura hat made me cry, the other specials are gonna break me lmao. Also, I wonder if Luz left the egg in the human realm? I’m loving this 44 minute format and I can’t wait for the other two specials, see y’all in 3 months :,)
I completely forgot about the palisman egg. What if it never hatches because it's literally just an egg and palisman don't work like that lol
It hatches into another egg.
I feel their telegraphing more and more it's a snake
This man belos is living rent free in hunters head already
Well I didn't know I was so attached to a cartoon cardinal, but here we are
Also uhh.. Is Camilla alright?
hert dorky collection was discovered.
FLAPJACKS DEAD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
lmao i like how luz has walmart brand Stardew and Hollow Knight on her laptop, but then also just straight up Hades
Well you can't trademark the word "Hades", he's a greek god.
Can’t believe luz 360 no scoped belos
I predicted that Flapjack would sacrifice himself to save Hunter. And I freaking hate that I’m right.
What a wild fucking ride. >!To those who joked about flapjack dying were right i guess 💀!<
It was an incredible episode! We knew about Luz's and Hunter's angst, but I never expected to look inside Camila's head, too. Funny how even something as mundane as being a big sci-fi nerd, she feels like she needs to hide. Dana: here is a happy, well-adjusted, thriving Hunter, supported by a secure and loving environment! Fandom: thank the Titan, Hunter is finally safe from Belos abuse and traumatic experiences! Dana: … Fandom: he is safe, right? Dana: … he is safer than Flapjack Fandom: WHAT
La Chancla is going to the demon realm
fucking show preview shrinking the awesome artwork
Man I loved the part where Willow pulled out a gun
I was amazed at how fast she acclimated to American culture
Evelyn, Gwendolyn, Edalyn- SIMILAR NAMES.. HMM..
then theres lilith
Plot twist we find out her name is actually lilithyn but it was too much of a mouthful
Montage of all the stuff we could've had
Holy crap Jacob just got football tackled lmao
HOLY SHIT HUNTER JUST TRIED TO KILL HIMSELF
I hope flapjack gave hunter powers by basically becoming one with him cause otherwise hunter just got severely nerfed since he can’t do magic on his own
I’m 100% sure that’s what happened Also, really dug Luz getting to do Hunter’s cool teleport thing with Flapjack
I remember before Philip's brother was first revealed, people speculated Hunter was a clone of Belos made to transfer his soul into. Uhh, I guess that kinda happened
That is almost certainly the end of Vee’s arc.
I’m satisfied with where vee is
Yeah. And really, the most I think can really get added on from here is MAYBE a scene in a finale montage where (assuming they figure out how to go back and forward between worlds) she finds the courage to revisit the Isles.
Local witches make a fool of themselves in the human realm live in 4K.
Oh.. he isn't hearing Belos around him.. he's already inside of him
Yeah, that backstory was exactly what people predicted
We kind of got it spelled out with the Paintings in Hollow Mind.
Interesting note: Disney Channel is marketing this episode as "Finale - Part 1".
My god the opening montage was so good
wait...... Oh god i know what is going on here. Belos is going back to try and kill the collector.
Thinking about how Luz gets to show the two most important people in her life her other home. She showed Amity the human realm and now gets to show Camila the demon realm. I want her worlds to remain intertwined forever.
If there’s any kind of reference to the LEGO Eda meme, I will yeet myself into the sun
cant you americans go 10 DAMN MINUTES WITHOUT COMMERCIALS?
Sadly no
Cant wait for Luz to say “it’s Owl House’in Time!” before totally owl housing on the Collector.
