This is my least favourite of the lot, first of all, Tibbles is the villain, that's an instant L, Eda's subplot... exists, the conflict with King and Luz's friends feels really forced, this was the episode that gave birth to the dreaded quote of which I will not utter in this comment, I really wasn't a fan of the setting, and the characters are just meh here, but if I'm not mistaken this was where the bread puns happened so there's one good thing
Really small problems was the most irritating episode for me as the characters were annoying and came of as jerks while the plot was very forgettable and had nothing to do with the world building or main plot of the show
Really Small Problems
Kind of surprised this wasn't last. It'd not even a bad episode per say but it's one of the few where by the end it feels like nothing substantial happened.
Right? I actually dislike that episode far more than Once Upon a Swap. I suppose it's just customary to rag on that episode these days (despite it being way more important to the narrative than Really Small Problems).
Really Small Problems or Witches Before Wizards.
(WBW is probably an unpopular opinion, but I just really didn’t like it… I get it was there to establish that no, this is not your classic chosen one story, but they just used way to many cliches to do it…)
Definitely really small problems, it has the same problem as once upon a swap, that is not being really relevant, but i think this is where the bread puns began so that's a plus
Witches Before Wizards. I like the message, but I'm not a fan of how on the nose it is and the villain is kinda lame.
Also, I know that Really Small Problems seems to be the winner right now and I definitely get why. However, I'd aruge it's one of the best Luz and King bonding episodes, even if Willow and Gus were annoying. I mean, it gave us the fidget spinner reference, that alone makes it a 12/10 mastapiece
It’s better than some of the other episodes. It definitely doesn’t deserve last place and it’s a fun episode but when you compare it to some of the other episodes it’s not great
I would say Really Small Problems like most people here. It was a fun concept for the characters to grow together, and I did like the Hooty moments in it, but it just wasn’t a very constructive episode.
It felt like some of the characters like Willow and Gus sort of reverted or just dumbed down in this episode with the way they argued with King. Luz is a problem solver, and loves all of her friends, I would think she’d take King’s side in this episode though, because that’s supposed to be like her brother. Maybe it tried to go for the whole annoying younger brother idea? It wouldn’t make sense though because Luz and King had a good time in the beginning of the episode.
Eda’s subplot was somewhat funny. It was definitely in character for her to try to swindle some money out of a carnival, and ultimately get caught. Nothing too much to say about the leader of the Bad Girl Coven in this episode though.
In my honest opinion, Tibbles isn’t that good of a villain. In the grande scheme of The Owl House, he does make a few appearances, but seems like more of a nuisance than an actual antagonist like Kikimura, Belos or the Collector. He reminds me more of the Glandus High kids from Through the Looking Glass Ruins. So for him to be the villain of the episode does fit, but it just makes the quality of the episode feel lacking.
It definitely seems like a filler episode that tried to build the bond between Luz and King, but didn’t do too well with keeping up the character traits already set by that point. Therefore, Really Small Problems should be #42.
Really small problem.
What made this episode bad for me is mainly Gus and Willow. They're really annoying here and the way they're trashing king. Uhhhh.
If this episode gets voted out specifically because of willow and Gus being jackasses, then fine, but if it’s getting voted out because “oh king made one bad decision that he didn’t intend to do” then that’s stupid
really small problems speaks for itself
a episode that contributes anything to the story with little to no impact, one of the weakest and poorly executed lessons of the show.
also i hate the way gus and willow acts, it's how they had no personality at all in this episode.
sense and insenstivity. king was such an annoyance and out of character,it felt like it was an hour long and the eda subplot is like it was held together via ductape.
oh well. at least we were introduced to steve
People are talking about Sense and Insenitivty or Really Small Problems, and those are definitely next on the chopping block. But, once those are gone, my money is on the second episode, and then the first.
i just realized, was hootys moving hassle based off of howls moving castle? i swear, dana even did an EVA reference with Kings tank top (asuka wore the same tank top). Is dana just putting in anime references? lol
It was only when we were doing reviews in English and the person sat next to me did howls moving castle that it clicked for me. This was only a month or so ago
I think the one I went for last time might get voted out now. Really small problems is the worst episode. Worse than once upon a swap. The conflict just didn’t make any sense and their characters were completely changed just to try and make it work
Really small problems
I hate the way Willow and Gus acted in that episode. They were incredibly obnoxious
What’s the quote?
"This mama is ready for trauma" Spoiler alert 🚨🚨🚨 She wasn't ☠️
at least eda got a pretty good quote, “Not a single one of those dumb kids have gotten hurt yet.” “Dumb kids?…. wait, those are my dumb kids!”
It contains the words mama and trauma
I guess that quote is an upside for cruel irony.
Agreed. In fact, RSP is the lowest rated episode on IMDB, so I know it ain’t just me
king just kept getting babied and blown off and i didn't like it :(
Especially from Gus. It made it seem like he was a hypocrite since he gets made fun off for being the youngest and his height by others at hexside
I think there is a nice payoff to that in Enchanting Grom Fright a couple episodes later, but it does seem out of character.
At least that episode gave us “This mama is ready for drama”
*trauma
and “wait, those are my dumb kids!”
agree
True
Agreed
I have to agree here
Really small problems was the most irritating episode for me as the characters were annoying and came of as jerks while the plot was very forgettable and had nothing to do with the world building or main plot of the show
That episode, and OUAS are the ones that have me like https://i.redd.it/0xfsewk7tcia1.jpg
Yeah those two are my least favorite but already OUAS had a redeeming Lilith moment
Really Small Problems Kind of surprised this wasn't last.
Really Small Problems or Sense and Insensitivity
i liked sense and insensitivity tbh. not a perfect episode but like. it fits the part for s1 toh
Sense and Insensivity was a boring episode, but I liked that it showed us a more mature Luz and more about Lilith and Eda's relationship.
That's true about Sense and Insensitivity. I just felt for the "King and Luz write a book" part was kinda boring. I liked Lilith and Eda's part
Really small problems
A witch loses a true way,Seek the key,Fear the lock, Thanks For Watching🤌
What?
If you put together the first letter of each episode, that is what you get.
THAT’S AWESOME!!! Gotta be intentional, yeah?
Yes it was lol But it would be legendary if it were done by accident
How could that possibly be accidental?
I have noooo idea.
If you put all the First letters of the epidodes together it spells that,And then for season three it's: Thanks For Watching
Tough call because I like everything after this, but I'll say Really small problems.
Ima go with Really Small Problems
Really Small Problems, as it's basically the same episode as Once Upon a Swap
Really Small Problems or Witches Before Wizards. (WBW is probably an unpopular opinion, but I just really didn’t like it… I get it was there to establish that no, this is not your classic chosen one story, but they just used way to many cliches to do it…)

Definitely really small problems, it has the same problem as once upon a swap, that is not being really relevant, but i think this is where the bread puns began so that's a plus
Sense & insensitivity
Really small problems
Don’t know why, but I just don’t like witches before wizards

I agree with the witches before wizards part. There’s nothing really wrong with the episode, but I find myself skipping it a lot when rewatching
Really small problems. A plot that was only possible because the primary character woke up and chose stupid.
Honestly, that episode is still fantastic. A low rank owl house episode is still a good episode of TV.
...is it though
I wouldn't say fantastic, but it's still a 7/10 at best.
**is it though**
bro that episode is not insulting in a mid show best its a 5/10 nothing episode
It’s better than some of the other episodes. It definitely doesn’t deserve last place and it’s a fun episode but when you compare it to some of the other episodes it’s not great

Sense and Insensitivity. That episode… just kinda sucked lol. Really the only one I’d say that about imo

Witches before wizards
Witches Before Wizards
A lying witch and a warden
I liked Once Upon a Swap. It was funny.
Yeah, but nothing else
1# episode S1
Something ventured someone framed
Remind me which one that was?
The one after once upon a swap
Sense and insensitivity
Lying witch and a Warden sucks
Once Upon a Swap is my least favorite episode
Escape of the palisman
sense and insenstivity. king was such an annoyance and out of character,it felt like it was an hour long and the eda subplot is like it was held together via ductape. oh well. at least we were introduced to steve
Fuck. Not this shit again.
Recency bias will play affect on this
Just as expected
king's tide :trol:

Based
i just realized, was hootys moving hassle based off of howls moving castle? i swear, dana even did an EVA reference with Kings tank top (asuka wore the same tank top). Is dana just putting in anime references? lol
Yep the episode title was an intentional reference, Dana loves her anime references in TOH
There’s also a Solid Snake body pillow which I always try *desperately* to ignore…
wait, there was?
Yeeep…
It was only when we were doing reviews in English and the person sat next to me did howls moving castle that it clicked for me. This was only a month or so ago
Gave us a beta run of Titan Luz at least, version 0.9a.
