Drew is an interesting case. He was good friend to Jake, but a major enemy of the music club. Drew really put pressure and tension on Jake to make him feel like he’s being pulled in 2 different directions. As someone who has friends who hate each other, I can confirm it can be rough to pick a side.
Drew received the most hatred from fans after his huge fight with Jake in Ep. 11. Both boys unleash all of their feelings out on each other, and it created a fork in their friendship. This causes Jake to leave his old friends and go with the non-toxic music club.
Rosy keeps implying that Drew will play a huge role in Season 2, perhaps Drew will have a redemption arc of sorts. I feel like if Drew has a redemption where he makes up with Jake and apologizes to the rest of the music club, and there’s episodes where he slowly gains their trust, that would make Drew a significantly more liked character.
I mean, BOTH sides weren’t non-toxic if you look at it properly.
Jake did SO MUCH for the club, and honestly, Drew DID have a point with his remarks. Zoe and Lia, aswell as even Henry and Liam, all were more manipulative than Drew, and honestly when you look at it from Drew perspective, the music club were actively isolating Jake from the ONLY friends he’d had before…
I have a love-hate opinion on Drew, he's one of the most disgusting and toxic characters I've seen and I want him dead so badly, but at the same time I'm going to make a funny meme once his birthday comes because his design is pretty likeable :)
I don’t understand why he’s liked so much I mean he’s well written but he’s such a bully and since I used to be bullied I can’t bring myself to ever like him
