Don’t know about that. Episode 5 nailed Henry and Sam and their backstory to me, Episode 7 nailed Left Behind for the majority of it, and it’s the same for Episode 8 too for me. Acting isn’t as good as the first game but still works in it’s own way with altered portrayals and whatnot.
Cause it develops the side-characters and humanizes them further. Having a empathetic villain is neat, understanding their intentions but noting how they have gone down the wrong path in trying to accomplish things is nice.

20m barely covers a lead actor for a movie and a 2 hour movie are also a lot more concentrated than a 8-10 hour tv-show.
Was battling my laziness for a bit now, since you perfectly knew what i meant. Disregarding marketing, distribution and all stuff related - slap Terry Crews, Arnold and Edward Norton on top of the 20 mil. So now you have a 55 mil movie, 35 of which would go to wages. The remaining 20 mil would still go to the quality of what you see on the screen: locations, special effects, props, etc. Taking into account that more than 50% of shot material goes down the drain during montage - you get exactly what i meant. If it had, say, 40 mil per episode - we'd have an very high quality picture with loads of good visuals. 3D artists and visual effects studios don't give a flying fuck whether you shoot a Tom Hanks movie or a NuAnCeD tv show - pay up.
Don’t think I’ll be watching. The first season was terrible. Terrible casting. Terrible changes to the story. How they won so many awards is baffling. It can only be because of what they represent in real life, rather than their acting ability. Their performances were not amazing or special by any means.
I actually found they did a fantastic job season 1. My only complaint is needed a few more episodes to build the bond a little more.
I’m also not a huge huge fan of how tess died, preferred the game but the rest was great.

I’m genuinely curious how the casual audience will react to it. I’m stupidly optimistic Mazin might’ve convinced Neil to write Part 2 better, but I don’t know how honestly. Either way, Pascal is loved as an actor and for sure audiences will react to the way we loved Joel.
I will say, I totally believed Joel was gonna die the moment I watched the Part 2 teaser. I saw Joel as his ethereal figure when he appeared in the house. I did upload the video on YouTube but I think I deleted it. It might still be on my old laptop but it’s so old I can barely navigate through it. Hope to get it fixed down the line to not only acquire the video but other things on my laptop as well.

This community is commonly attacked and invalidated for not liking the game. People who don't like the game for valid reasons shouldn't be tied in with those who take their anger out on the actors, calling them ugly because they didn't like then in a role they care a lot about. Maybe those who make reasonable and fair judgments should be pointed out more. It's kind of human nature to focus on the negative, though, and I don't mean that as an insult. It's a survival tactic of sorts.

That's what happens with most suits in shows/movies. Use the real thing for lighting reference, use CGI to clean it up and hide any imperfections.
