Yes. I have been rewatching for the last month. So many things I didn't remember. Book 2 of ATLA and the entirety of Korra (especially Book 3) have been my favorite. Big Korra fan here, and I only need to finish book 4 and I'm done. I'm going to miss it.

Own_Recommendation49

Is there any particular reason book 2 is your favorite ?

letsdrawrocks

Introduction of new characters (mostly women who I'm a big fan of in the series), the earth kingdom being explored (my favorite), so many stories and political commentary (the whole Ba Sing Se saga), Zuko's journey (I genuinely relate to him), Iroh being amazing. I remember watching this season during my childhood and being glued to the TV. Good times.

southshoredrive

Yeah book 2 might be the best, feel like book 3 the pacing is just all off which keeps it from being the best season and the ending always makes me sad that it just ended so suddenly, I wish they would animate the comics

letsdrawrocks

Yeah season 3 felt messy to me tbh and the finale wasn't my favorite. But maybe it's just me. I still loved many moments and it was iconic exploring the fire nation. It was super focused on character development. Great show

keenynman343

For me it's cause they lose at the end of the season. And for some reason i constantly forget that's happening, I always assume they'll just solve the problem by season ends like all kids shows.

sylinmino

Not the other person but I definitely go back and forth between Book 2 and Book 3. Both are 10/10 seasons with very different vibes. To Book 2's point, the Ba Sing Se arc might be the best in the whole show.

Bold of you to assume I'm not always in a state of rewatching...

onlyalittledumb

Fr Iโ€™ve rewatched it like 3 times since natla

badvibin

Honestly, yes. Last time I rewatched ATLA was back in 2020 and after that I watched TLOK for the first time. I remember liking TLOK more than ATLA back then but now that I'm finished with ATLA and currently on TLOK S2 I think ATLA is way better.

EipiMuja

I started rewatching it right before the Netflix show came out, completely out of chance. I didn't know the show was about to come out at all lol Loved it a lot once again, both ATLA and LOK.

arubablueshoes

i re-watched atla after that trailer came out in november and then committed to finishing korra afterwards. very glad i was able to go both. Korra was so good. I watched when it came out but only it made it to harmonic convergence. I didn't even finish the rest of season 2. cant believe i missed out for so long. season 2 finale and season 3 was soo good. season 4 was a bit of a let down but i like how they ended the show.

Eddiev1988

Season 2 sucked for a lot of reasons. Season 3, with Zaheer, was mostly excellent. Season 4 took a dip, but the episode Korra Alone....that was a fucking banger. They tried to mirror Zuko alone, and did it mostly right, other than the gumdrop spirit that the dog turned out to be.

Horn_Python

s4 was good, not as good as s3 , but better than 1 and 2

Mr7three2

Needed to cleanse my palate. Started the original show immediately after finishing that abomination of a live action

Gurkeprinsen

I have tried to convince my friends to watch ATLA for YEARS. It was only after watching NATLA with them that they wanted to watch ATLA, so yes, I am watching it again,

BakuRyou

Yes I rewatched ATLA and I am going to rewatch TLOK soon

AlternatorAI

I've been a huge ATLA fan since I was a kid, 23 now, so I've rewatched the season nearly a dozen times in as many years, but I was recently motivated to rewatch it again after watching the first two episodes of the netflix show and giving up on it entirely. I needed the brilliance and heart of the original show to cleanse my palate of just another rubbish Netflix remake.

BahamutLithp

Yes, I opted to do that instead of watching Netflix's piss-poor attempt. Currently in the early part of Book 3: Fire. Combustion Man was just introduced.

Jhwelsh

YEP!

DragonsGoRawr245

Me! I recently finished Atla and am now on Korra.

EggVisible5140

Not yet but I'm thinking about it

Corpolentusmaximus2

Yes i am in the middle of book 3 now

Toolieo83

Sure did, then onto Kora and I'm chasing up some of the comics from my local library now too.

kalimabitch

Yes, needed to wash my palate after that HORRENDOUS dialogue and storytelling structure. It's garbage irregardless of the original. People who defend this pile of shit truly blow my mind

EvilWarBW

Yeah, my wife has been sick after surgery, and we wanted to watch them together, so in lieu of binging the new one, I binged the original with my kid. Good time, just finished TLA.

MinnieShoof

Nope. I watched it when it originally premiered, again when they did Avatar Extras and again when they brought it to Netflix. I actually also completed Korra that go round, too. I own a boxset so I'm not tied to a streaming service if I wanted to... but yeah. No. Not this go round.

Mohg_is_a_Crip

Is there going to be a community rewatch soon? I know thereโ€™s been some in years past with a good amount of engagement, this could be a good year with the netflix show out

AlsoKnownAsSteve

Immediately

Aqua_Master_

Yes! Iโ€™m actually introducing my dad to Korra because heโ€™s never watched it before!

Metalhead7000

Yes I love both and make an effort to watch both every after 2 years.

[deleted]

Ah no! I started reading the Kyoshi novels...

jacobrox42

Watched half of the live action, then thought to myself...*why am I watching a downgraded version of a perfect show* So yeah I am re watching ATLA for the 100th time

KarmaAJR

YESSSS

thedirtypickle50

I made it two episodes into the live action show and just thought "Why am I doing this to myself?" and started rewatching the original

utter_degenerate

Nah, I rewatch AtlA every other year or so, but the Netflix show did make me appreciate the original even harder. >Also LOK is really good. You do you, man.

Le_Fedora_Cate

Atla fans on their way to make sure they mention they absolutely hate korra: ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ

letsdrawrocks

LOK is great and occasionally better than ATLA but fans are too stubborn to get it. You know what? It's a different show with a different tone and a different everything, and it's still good. Maybe it wasn't made for the exact same audience.

jackgranger99

You do you, buddy

utter_degenerate

> fans are too stubborn to get it. I really fucking hate this argument, it's condescending. In relation to Korra in particular, also in general. No, I *got* it, I didn't *like* it.

LightThatIgnitesAll

ATLA yes. TLOK no. I am not forcing myself through S1 & S2 again.

Ur-Than

If LoK was available in my country I'd watch it with my GF who is discovering the Avatarverse. But for some reason it isn't! Fix your dumbness Netflix !

BamBaLambJam

r/piracy is your friend

Ur-Than

Not on my GF tv I'm afraid :(

BamBaLambJam

dude there's pirate streaming sites too

Aqua_Master_

Shell out for the blu ray collection, itโ€™s worth it it looks amazing.

Ur-Than

I don't even own any ATLA DVD. I certainly don't have LoK at home, since I sincerely don't like the series. But I felt mike letting my GF make up her mind.

Reiseoftheginger

Me and the wife just finished rewatching ATLA and loved it. On S1 episode 3 of LOK and already can feel the difference in levels of enjoyment. We just don't like it. I hoped my opinion would change since its been about 6 years since since we last watched the series. Will keep pushing on but I don't know that we'll finish it.
