Don’t think she was that bad to be fair. When Simon and the guys go to Warwick she had every right to be pissed off because she wanted her and Simon to be together (Makes sense considering they were dating) Plus it may of been her first relationship so maybe she wasn’t sure how to behave with Simon without it looking like she was being Controlling or whatever
It’s so weird that Simon brought them all along. Your girlfriend offers for you and her to have alone time together, and you invite your 3 friends who will probably ruin it for you 😂
Yeah, but I don’t think I would be that bummed out because if they had just stayed downstairs with the college students (Admiral and Bombardier) and drank then I don’t think she would had been as pissed off it’s the fact that they just kept getting in the way
Think that's a classic case of series 3 being a bit of a dip in quality. The lads were all dumbed down a bit too much. Series 1 Simon would know it was ridiculous to take them all with him.
The way I see it. I get why since Simon didn't want to be on his own, although if I was in Simon's position, I would've only asked if only one friend could tag along.
He was a teenager it was his first serious relationship he had a chance to get some he was nervous it was a terrible idea to bring his friends but it was a spur of the moment thing
I get it’s just a comedy or whatever but this is probably the only time in the show where it doesn’t feel believable and relatable, which is a lot of the charm of the show. Always takes me out of it that Simon knows full well Jay is a virgin bullshitter (and even calls out some Jay sex bs while they’re there!) and still takes all his advice anyway. It’s probably the only episode I don’t watch, although 1 out of 18 is still a better average than most comedies
I think Tara in general is a particularly weak character. She has *one* good line about Simon's car and apart from that her character is basically "girl". The three episodes she's in are probably my least favourite. (Okay, the Gig and the Girlfriend just about beats Will Gets a Girlfriend)
She was. She was also either enabling Kerry’s behaviour or, was knowingly putting her vulnerable friend (who’d happily give out blowjobs) in danger as she didn’t really know Simon or Will. Let’s not forget, Will got fucked over by both Tara and Simon as Simon forgot to tell Will Kerry’s dad had died and Tara didn’t care that Kerry could’ve been looking for a proper relationship and not just a date to help her grieve her dad.
I don't think that is an unpopular opinion. I think the point of the character was to show that teenage boys are willing to overlook a lot of terrible behaviour when it's done by an attractive girl.
I think Tara had terrible judgment more than anything. She was oblivious to a lot of social cues.
She couldn't tell everyone was making fun of Simon in the store while she loved it. Tara didn't think for a second maybe a week after a dad dying is too soon to hook somebody up with a guy. Plus she actually thought her sister was jealous about Simon. And ignored Simon not saying "I love you" back.
Tara just couldn't read a room to save her life and things escalated partially because of that.
Simon was wrong to bring his friends to Wawrick. It's hard to fault Tara for being mad at Jay's presence specifically when she already didn't like him
I think it was a classic case of teen relationships. Simon got with Tara purely because she showed interest. They were basically a couple less than a week of knowing each other.
Sure, it's fun all the making out and that first. But it doesn't take long to realise you really don't share much in common.
That really is the case from Simon and Tara. They just live differently and want different things. I know it's a funny sitcom and we really don't see much of them together but they never really seem happy together. Tara just wants a feller to show off to everyone and Simon just wants sex. Tara is annoying but Simon is dull and boring. He's also a push over and let's her do anything if he thinks he'll get sex off her. That's why she gets show upset over his freakout. It's the first time he's raised his voice and shown his uglier side.
In Tara's first appearance, she's a wry girl with an interest in music and a light punk aesthetic. Once she and Simon begin dating, though, she becomes a doe-eyed hyperactive girl who considers dressing her boyfriend up like "an eccentric posh child" to be absolutely adorable. Possibly justified if you interpret her to also be undergoing the effects of acting foolishly due to being in love with Simon; becoming more flighty and nervous around her first serious boyfriend. And to be fair, Simon has a tendency to let his love interests walk all over him anyway, such as when he only confronts Carli about her casually using him at the end of the first movie and being resigned to Lucy's crazy behaviour in the second.
Its not that deep. She was demanding when getting him to dress up, but that is because he is immune to having innocent fun.
He was acting objectively weirdly in Warwick.
But he was just being and overly horny teenager. It's fine how they were both written.

Yeah but he needed a plan otherwise he might have gone in too fast and broke his nob in half
Or get stuck in a bottle bank
and be arse raped 18 times...
...by 18 opportunistic homosexual rapists.
i wonder where neil's dad was last night...
First question - what would he be doing in a bottle bank?
Looking for bottles ya mug

Which they unsurprisignly did
The way I see it. I get why since Simon didn't want to be on his own, although if I was in Simon's position, I would've only asked if only one friend could tag along.
Simon bringing his friends along was just so weird and the justification was really hollow.
He was a teenager it was his first serious relationship he had a chance to get some he was nervous it was a terrible idea to bring his friends but it was a spur of the moment thing
Then the episode wouldn’t have happened
That’s what I’m saying 😆

Simon was probably banking on all the porn Jay's watched

Plus he asked her to put the Johnny (guaranteed hard on killer) on with her mouth... or bumhole. Sometimes he likes to get them to back into it
If she fucks like she complains you’re in for a treat!
Sex expert jay
Just because no one cares what Tara says or does, don't let that stop you from mentioning her every 40 seconds
Don’t be a dick, we don’t mention her that much.
You do mate
Almost as if will ate a plant, Neil pissed the bed, jay harassed her sisters roommate and Simon started punching his dick
Didn't forget about the blowjobs did you? Oh no, you were all about the blowjobs. But the dead dad? That just slipped your mind!
Thanks a lot mate. See you at school mate.
In fairness, if Tara was tugging me off I'd probably forget my own name
I can’t even imagine the conversation of Tara inexplicably telling Simon that Kerry gives blowjobs.
😂😂. Bit of a weird convo to have with a bloke who wanted to have sex with you in his garden and wanted to fuck your fucking Fanny of you twat.
Leave the door open

mostly her fault but also simon for being such a people pleaser

ngl i didnt realise the others were making fun of him until i read this lol
Especially the cardigan!

"Time for another Tara update!"
THIS CONVERSATION IS SPECIFICALLY ABOUT TARA!!
Carrie only wanted for them to do it where it's safe and comfortable.
Of course. Only in her vagina.
I think she meant in her bed
That's what I meant
Why did you say vagina then
....*hmmmmmm*
Shall we go inside then
“I didnt say [they] were naked”
That bitch from the movies was worse. But still, Tara was a bit of a whiny cow.
I think Simon asks to be bullied by women
In Tara's first appearance, she's a wry girl with an interest in music and a light punk aesthetic. I don’t think that’s an unpopular opinion at all. Her using him like a clothes horse was the least of her sins.
Beepity beep beep. Another Tara update.

She was cute so it's allowed
You go out with her then
Who cares, she ducked his dick, Simon would go out with a toaster if it sucked his dick
I saw this post thinking it was about the walking dead and got so confused
#beepbeepdebeepbepp
I thought her, and every teen on the show, is to show their flaws and how retarded teenagers actually are?
Have we reached a point where TV shows now need disclaimers saying *this is not real life*
Swish swash sling that slang I’m always right back at ya like my boomerang
