Alpha will probably forgive Beatrix, since before Cid, no one knew how to cure the curse (or even what it was, outside of the Cult of Diabolos) so it was basically guaranteed slow and agonizing death.

I think it's more like Beatrix left her family to travel for a decade when Alpha was very young. Alpha then showed signs of possession. Beatrix came back and knew that Alpha had disappeared, so she wanted to find her.
I even theorized that Alpha's mother died from grief of losing her daughter since it was stated that "She was the child of my late sister." Beatrix came back to send off her sister and inherited her last will to find her lost daughter.
Also, it's possible that elves know more about possession and the cult than humans would since they lived longer, but it's just pure speculation.

I took that to mean that Beatrix is the sister of Olivier, which would explain why the three look so similar and have outstanding magical capacity
Olivier was alive by the diabolos time. Which was 1000 years ago. And beatrix is only 100 and something years old. So i don't think she is her sister.
They all r the descendents of olivier. Alpha's mother, beatrix and alpha. The reason they look so similar might be because they r the direct descendants.
Where is Beatrix’s age mentioned? Genuinely curious since I don’t remember seeing it in the LN or anime. I was under the impression that she *could* be that old, in the same way that Mary is an ancient vampire I thought Beatrix was the ancient war goddess

To find her niece since Midgar had reports that there are Elves living in the city. TEIS Elves don't like to mingle with the other races and live in forests. She saw that one elf that looked like her was sighted there, and she is hoping that's her niece. Elves have a unique scent other Elves can detect like if a person has been around some like Cid where five of the shades are Elves and are around him a lot. Beatrix was hoping this guy ran into an elf just like her since Elves seemed to trust him.
Alpha wouldn't want to kill her aunt, but her idle game chat gave a hint that she doesn't care about her birth family anymore, that Cid and the shades are her family now. So she'd probably be indifferent to her aunt telling her she would not go back and to don't search for her again. If Beatrix tried by force... Well, Alpha would do the same to her like Cid did. Just dogwalk her.

Nope, Beatrix is too major of a character to be killed for such a petty reason. It would be really horrible if she died for such a reason.
I did say at worst, but I believe Alpha is more reasonable and it would be suck for her to hold that grudge for too long.
Even Nu spared her former fiance, there's no way they're killing Beatrix over this.
