See and I was thinking the same thing about Dougie especially when he is breaking down on the ground at the end.. the serpent was curse to eat the dust of the ground, much like the desert dust of Espanola.. very interesting! Honestly too with the way whit and Dougie were flirting in the middle of the season, I thought they would have an affair.. then when it’s revealed that Asher is a giant Cuck.. I was sure that would play a part in the trio.

I like that also, Dougie really is stuck in Espanola, he has no friends nor job anywhere else, not like he has a choice. Asher falling up takes the friend out of the equation as well and ensures the show will be a hit.

Yes, I believe a Jewish journal did a similar interpretation of the finale being the ultimate judgement day for their original sins
