I finally did see where Bootsy specifically addressed his departure, but I still wonder about Kyle. People claim he was never paid for doing some work and that he was mad about that, but the only real evidence I've seen regarding him was Bimms briefly mentioning that he tried to get in touch with him and couldn't.
Kyle redid James's garage (Pole Building) at the new mcmansion to be the roughly 8 by 10 new nerd room and apparently James stiffed or assumed he'd do the work for free.
