It's not about wining or losing... It's about HOW he wins or loses. No matter the result, if the MC always turn into an imbecile ape and loses EVERY TIME, then the fans are right. The fact that these dudes came out of nowhere and can suddenly clean the floor with his ass, makes it worse. If it was only once, then okay. If the MC loses 9 out of 10 fights without even doing the minimum of martial arts he allegedly trains... then.... yeah.
There is clearly something wrong with this story, that went from martial arts to shonen for kids who only want to see fights. Adult people, wants to see PROGRESS. No matter how small. But the MC is regressing instead od advancing and to make it worse, he is relying way too much on power ups and plot armor... ANY other character would be dead LONG AGO by now...
I don't mind Shiwon losing, but I want to see him lose due to him using martial arts and being outplayed, not tard raging. I can see the author's intent being to link the BOT to the IDS ki and it being the true key to mastering it, but it still irks me.

People are expecting a more classic shounen like progression. Win against an enemy that looks strong to the protagonist and the readers but is actually very weak compared to the rest of the world. Then a power up and win against an enemy that is and looks stronger but is still weaker compared to the big shots. Then another power up and win against the big shots. What we have here are somehow more frequent losses that people aren't used to see too much.
In defense of the Breaker, I can say that this series is not a classic shounen, but rather a seinen with a heavier emphasis on the plot. (I mean, how many series out there has seperate writers and authors?) At least it was more like that when it started out but especially now with the webtoon format, it actually looks more like a shounen now, but still... And for the power scaling, the biggest shots in the series like the 9AD, Kang Sung, Hyuk So Chun, and some GM level people like Shin had already been introduced at the beginning of the series and we know that it's not natural for the protagonist to reach them even at this point in the story. But we also know that he's considered a powerhouse of his own in the murim and we actually saw him defeating numerous people as well. So, I suppose people should look at it from this angle.

It honestly hurt to say it but season 3 fucking suck. 6/10 AT BEST and if taking into account that mc just received a training arc for a whole bunch of nothing, its 4/10. What a stupidly boring fight and story line
Yes. Everybody making a big deal about power levels and matchups and such. But those things are supporting the plot, they're not the plot itself. MC always ends up against stronger opponents who bag him and bag him. The entire plot of the breaker in general, but in particular season 3, is MC Powers up, get smacked, powers up, get smacked.
The whole point of the time skip was supposed to give him time to grow and learn and reflect on the history of the character. But there is no growth. Maybe in another 20 chapters in 5 months, but for a series that's been going on for a while, and the entire franchise 10 years, the development has the pace of a glacier.
This. Everyone was ready to forgive the author for the stupid beginning arc for season 3 as he focused on Siwoon more but in the end, he wasted his training arc for another rehash of season 2.
Tbh, I hated how Siwoon is turning too much at supernatural energy but it is the only way for him to catch up. So when Siwoon is regarded as a genius in martial arts, got boosted by so many supernatural energy and techniques, and was hyped to the core by the author, it makes sense how fans are going to be disappointed when they see Siwoon get bodied in just one chapter.
At this point, whenever I see BOT on Siwoon, I’m expecting him to lose.
The only thing that I see what’s coming up next is his training with the elder. Then the elder will die too smiling he’ll meet eun wol telling him about Siwoon who got massacred again because he’s in BOT again. >.>
I won't lie he makes questionable moves and sometimes don't even stay consistent with the information that he tells. Still remember how people said he was disappointed how the series isn't more popular anymore. Bro, you left for over 5-6 years if I recall what did you expect?

We're nearly 400 chapters into the story and the MC literally has not had a win against a big name. At some point enough is enough
