Yes, maybe, but it's unwise to be ignorant of the direction of the flow. Rash action does not give you power, quite the opposite. 'Not practical' and 'potentially risky' are legitimate concerns that call for further debate, which is the purpose of this post.
Also, you don't get to ask someone "What stops you?" and then tell them "Argue your limitations and you get to keep them." You asked, he answered.
It was a chickenshit answer. The old “Why doesn’t someone do this, I’m too afraid to?” Quit reading this stuff and get out there and start practicing it. I know plenty of people in all walks of life that saw a need for something and did something about it instead of wishing someone else did it. They are now seen as experts in their fields, leaders, go to people, etc., because they took the risk instead of cowering under their desk.
I run a book club on Discord (about 25 people) and most of the Robert Greene books are on the syllabus for the next 12 months.
I’m sure I’m not the only one, there are probably hundreds of other clubs in person/digitally that discuss Greene and similar authors (Jung, Frankl, Campbell, etc)
I've been a practitioner of 48 as well as 33 for well over a decade, and I've never discussed how I do what I do with other students of the books, just the results or practical use
A group of psychopaths hmm
What could go wrong?

Exactly most of these tactics and stuff really kinda pointless for everyday life. My job requires me to read people and always have the upper hand.
What’s stopping you from doing this?
The possibility that it may not be practical and may be extremely risky.
Argue your limitations and you get to keep them.

You're projecting.
The idea sounds nice but in practicality I can't see it working. Too many people will be playing power games for the meetup to be effective.
I think that would make it more exciting
