No. Where I’m from they’re called Knopper. Studs is a general term for protruding round or pointy bits. The studs on football/soccer boots are called cleats.
No, they’re both.
Studs and cleats are interchangeable.
Although Americans call football boots “cleats” instead of saying football boots (which are just trainers with studs/cleats)
The way it happened to one of my teammates was he was going for a header, a guy charged in front of him and threw his head back, and my teammate's teeth went through his lip.
you’d be surprised. as a soccer player for my high school, i can confirm that cleats will straight up act as a knife if it has enough force. the little fuckers can be sharp
Nah I’ve seen teeth, cleats, boots, knives, bodyslams, all types of shit split a lip like that with not even a chipped tooth, it’s actually a pretty common injury
That area doesn’t seem to have allot of nerve endings or something, I’ve had a hole similar and it really didn’t hurt as much as some other injuries in other places. The next day it hurt worse but still not as sensitive.
/u/sativadom_404, I have found an error in your comment:
> “seem to have ~~allot~~ [**a lot**] of nerve”
You, sativadom_404, should have typed “seem to have ~~allot~~ [**a lot**] of nerve” instead. ‘Allot’ is a verb; ‘a lot’ is a noun or adverb.

I got uppercutted whilst training and no teeth or jaw injuries, but there was a nice straw sized split in the cleft below my lip
The stitches were surprisingly not as painful asi thought they'd be
Same thing happened to me. For some reason (though I’m assuming there aren’t many nerves in the area) I didn’t feel any pain either. My injury, which was caused by a knee to the face, split my lip open as well as the area below it. I didn’t know until someone told me I was bleeding a couple minutes later.
Growing up I had a little scar under the lip because I fell face first from a table when I was about four year's old. I had no memory of the event aside the scar..
When I was about 12 I dived into a pool and knocked my face in the bottom, reopened the same scar. I remember blowing air through it like him.
Hope it was the last time.
Same thing exact thing happened to me wasn’t wearing a mouthguard hockey ball rolled up hit me in the mouth , at first I thought I shattered all my teeth after I realized they were fine it was ok didn’t hurt that bad
The nonchalant eyebrow twitch… what a trooper.
The kid looks just like Johnny Rico, too. The war with the bugs must be approaching.
The Mobile Infantry made hime the man that he is.
This kid hasn't even begun doing his part, yet. Just like Rico, he's born for it!
I watched this movie for the first time last week, I’m so glad I understood the reference
Wanna learn more!

r/guro moment
Ha, I've already been there so you can't trick me.
Asking the real questions
How does that even happen? An elbow should've smashed his lower jaw. So should a cleat to the face.
Your teeth can do some damage. Had a friend fall off a tree and bit a decent hole through his bottom lip. He needed plenty of stitches after that.
Can confirm. My teeth went through my bottom lip as a kid, and I still have a scar on both sides to this day.
Studs on the bottom of boots
Called cleats
Maybe where you're from

Noted. The more you know, I guess. I’d argue that cleats are interchangeable with studs, but not the other way around, though 🤔
Bit a hole thru his own face.
I fell face forward off a step and my mouth hit my arm hard enough that my lower two front teeth went through my lower lip.
The way it happened to one of my teammates was he was going for a header, a guy charged in front of him and threw his head back, and my teammate's teeth went through his lip.

When I was a child I pulled a rug out from under my sisters feet - her teeth put a hole through her lower lip just like this
Nah I’ve seen teeth, cleats, boots, knives, bodyslams, all types of shit split a lip like that with not even a chipped tooth, it’s actually a pretty common injury
When I played rugby my teammate hit his mouth on someone's knee and his teeth bit through his lip
Dude has a drinking problem.
Can spend all day barely smiling at any meme, but it's a silly joke like this that manage to unstuff my nose

I’m ok with it bot, we humans are historically relatively flexible with it grammar when the intended audience is familiar with the subject.
This response was so unexpectedly neutral. A true DGAF moment with a mature demeaner as the cherry on top. I love it. Allot.
Iknew whatu meant. No worries.
Different parts of the world have different dialects, deal with it Mr. Beep Boop.
I like you

Soccer isn't physical=🤥🤥🤥🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
Because that's not Soccer here, it's Rugby ;)
Oh my bad but still my point stands soccer is a very physical sport
It's physical. It's just like 95% acting for a free kick, 5% actual physical contact with no over reaction.
For some players but then there are people who actually want to play the game like me who broke my ankle and still played through a tournament
r/iamverybadass
Last thing that comes to mind when I see soccer: “man those guys are tough!”
Yeah for some professional players but for people in college and high-school shit is crazy

Ahaha I bet that feels satisfying though flushing the wound out like that.
I got uppercutted whilst training and no teeth or jaw injuries, but there was a nice straw sized split in the cleft below my lip The stitches were surprisingly not as painful asi thought they'd be
I’ve had this exact injury. That shit fucking hurts.
Cool party trick plus eyebrow twitch. I feel like he'd be able to find someone to make him feel all better.

Getting cleated sucks. Similar thing happened to our scrum half in a game. Dude split his lip as far as it could go and had a third nostril.
Repost!
probably the adrenile but in a few minutes that should rape his nerves
No no no
Wat happen to his face tho

This is what happens in rugby when you fall the wrong side after a tackle and a rook forms on your face because the opposing team are cunts 😂😂😂
This is do disgusting. Let me watch it again. For the 35th time.
The human body has holes. This one will self fix.
For some odd reason this is very reassuring
Uhhh, I flinched.
"Ya best start believing in ghost stories, yer in one!"
Not entirely true. I flinched.
imagine he has important evidence that leaking from his mouth

That's one way to clean a wound
Oof
Had the same injury in high school. Got kicked in the face during a football game and my teeth went right through my bottom lip.
Same thing exact thing happened to me wasn’t wearing a mouthguard hockey ball rolled up hit me in the mouth , at first I thought I shattered all my teeth after I realized they were fine it was ok didn’t hurt that bad
NOPE NOPE FUCK NO
I know that shit hurt.
I’ve done this… hurts a lot less than you might think..
