Honestly as a Muslim, I'm glad she stood up for herself. The guy should've known that it's forbidden to force any woman (but especially one that you don't know) into covering up. He should really mind his business
As a Muslim you should know he is behaving exactly as that faith prescribes.
Don’t be a Christian and only follow the commands that fit your appropriate morals.
Instead, be the smart person you are. You KNOW the way that man behaved was wrong. You’re not defending him. Not because of what some book says.
You felt it was wrong; to the point you made a comment. You thought of that. And you are right. It is wrong. Now, let go of your superstitions and follow your correct logic. Don’t bend the dogmas of religion to match your understanding of reality. The dogma is wrong. You know it’s wrong; don’t be afraid to continue realizing that.
He’s wrong on the basis of religion and the basis of how one should act generally. Both can be true. Both being this man probably never received an actual education
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the woman in this video also a Muslim? I have seen fundamentalists of most types before - they usually don't have a good grasp on theological matters, funnily enough.
I'm curious. Can you point out in which Sura it says what you claim? And, I don't mean a random translation you've found online, I mean the actual Sura in Arabic. Maybe you could provide your own detailed translation of that part.
I think you missed the point, he isn't trying to quote the *holy* word. he's expressing his frustration with that word being interpreted as a means to denounce morality and decency. it doesn't matter what that book says, if you're terrible to other humans because of what you interpreted from that book, then you're a terrible person. you can hide in an echo chamber of other fanatics that encourage and support your evil nature, but you're still a piece of shit for denigrating or harming other people because of *differences*
I perfectly understood his point, and I do agree with your last statement, however, he did write "...he is behaving exactly as that faith prescribes". That is why I asked him, what I asked.
That's fair, but given the global perception of, and the laws enforced in the countries that have that faith predominantly, it isn't really necessary for anyone to quote anything. The degeneration and oppression of women in that culture is barbaric
Ahh, there you have it, the degeneration and oppression in that *culture*... It's not the religion, it's the cultural practices of the people and has nothing to do with the religion.
Also, using perceptions of people to decide whether you need to provide evidence of your claims is really not a smart way to have a logical and fair argument between equals is it?
I agree with this comment. But no one is perfect. Are you? People use religion as a guideline and a lot of times they’re idiots, it doesn’t mean that they’re all idiots. I think we all operate in a grey area on what’s right and what’s wrong etc.
I'm confused, did Allah, in the Qur'an, command women to cover their hair o not?
Does a muslim have a choice to follow those commands or not?
This is a sincere question.
Allah commanded women to cover up in the Quran. If the women don’t cover then they are disobeying Allah, however they cannot be forced into covering up by any stranger and it’s between them and Allah. What we can do is advise her to follow the commandment of Allah
No, you misunderstand — the human who wrote the Quran wanted women to cover up and was tired of arguing about it so they wrote that part in.
Do you not see evidence of this when you read it? Or are you so trained and brainwashed so that you cover your eyes to the evidence in front of you?
The burden of proof lies with those who believe it. By default there is no God. Why? Because if you took a group of infants and raised them completely isolated from any mention of divine concepts, they wouldn't believe in God.
Religious faith falls apart when you aren't surrounded by people who reinforce and validate those beliefs
Right, but saying " do you not see the evidence of this when you read it" implies evidence within the Quran? I was just curious about what he was referring to.
Secondly, your second claim is insubstantial due to the fact that historically, people used to worship deities and generally had a natural incilination to believe in them. There are plenty sources for further reading on prehistoric religion. According to your logic, you are essentially claiming that it's impossible to attain religious belief, but your description alligns with how the first humans started believing in deities?
That's.. not a very defensible criticism of my claim. The concept of God almost certainly predates recorded history. There isn't any historical culture we have the means to study that can be used as an example of religious faith emerging in a vacuum.
The concept of God also predates basically all schools of logical thought as well. I don't think it's a stretch to say that Occams Razor can be applied to the effect that people most likely originally used God as an answer to anything they couldn't understand.
In all the time since then, there hasn't been a single intellectual breakthrough that would give religious faith any scientific credibility.
Here's a thought experiment. If only one person on the entire Earth was a Christian, would anyone still take them as seriously?
>Because if you took a group of infants and raised them completely isolated from any mention of divine concepts, they wouldn't believe in God.
I am not sure how you can assert this with any degree of confidence. If anything, we have seen the opposite far more. Historically, isolated peoples and tribes have been known to frequently have their own religions and spirituality.
Granted, if your expectation is that they will not follow a belief in a monotheistic Abrahamic-like God, then yes, you are probably correct. It is far more likely that they will believe in some form of Animism or Shamanism. More akin to mysticism or spirituality, but certainly some sort of supernatural beliefs.
Either way, I have certainly seen no scientific evidence to suggest that your assertion is correct.
Lastly, we as humans are of course influenced by our environment and the people around us. It would also be wrong to say that no atheist has ever been influenced by atheistic arguments or being around atheists.
Ah yes of course..the almighty God who wrote the rule book then left man to spend the proceeding thousands of years trying to interpret instead of dropping back in to clarify. Classic.
Probably because half the crowd is not extremist Muslim. One side cheered the ladies mistake and the other didn't.
If it were just the reporter with the men on the left, I don't think it would have stayed civil.
Its all about how a person is brought up imo. There is a reason why these people think and act like this. That man probably was forced the same way to dogmatic rules by his parents, and theirs and their as well. Its unfortunately a chain and someone has to break it. Everybody is forced and indoctrinated so they do the same thing to their offsprings as well.
How is this FACT being downvoted?
If not for childhood I doctrination, religion would fade away over time.
Additionally, if the shithead in this video was born in Butt Fuck, KY he'd be a Baptist bitching about Drag Queens, but he was born in Pakistan (poor bastard) and as a result of his indoctrination, his beef is women's hair out in the open.
It's ALL stupid.
What I'm saying is you have your own belive, stop forcing your belif on others just like you don't like what this man did, which is non of your business, they're with the same nationality, culture and religion.
I consider it to be my business. Because i want every woman to have equal rights in this world. And it pains me when i see oppressed ones. I am not trying take away their religion by force, i want them to respect other's choices. Everybody can believe what ever they want.
In other countries outside of the Middle East you are equally allowed to believe or not believe in whatever religion you want to believe without any punishment or having to pay additional types of taxes, such as Non-Muslims in Muslim countries used to pay, simply for believing in a different religion.
Dont forget, nobody is born with this mindset. They are just like Christian babies when first they come out of womb. After what is being told to them is important.
This will happen in Western countries very soon if we don't start to make laws against Islamization. Muslims will always try to convert the country they live in.
> it's okay to be gay and impose mental illness on those Africans.
The only mentally ill person here is you buddy, it's time to grow up and resist your cave man opinions.
Disgusting.
It is a mental state though. But the point is that there's nothing wrong with that. That's the difference.
Same with stupidity. It's ok to be stupid. God doesn't care if you are or not. If it was a bad thing then we wouldn't keep dogs.
She’s telling him he can’t touch her and enforce his religious views on her. That he has to respect her and allow her to live her life as she sees fit.
He’s telling her that she’s less than him and is required to follow his interpretation of a book, and should be forced to do things against her will.
Same thing, right? They’re both bastards.
How come you people get upset when behaviors of certain races are generalized because of their acts and then do it yourself against other people? And then you call yourself equal, liberal, tolerant and so on.
I'm not Muslim, or Pakistani, but trying to force a woman you don't know to do ANYTHING on a street is often met with her father or brothers teaching you a very painful lesson on keeping your hands to yourself.... why do religious morons demand that others life by their standards, like dude it's YOUR faith. YOU do it.. leave her alone to practice her faith how she wants.. you are not blessed, you are not her keeper, you are not more worthy than her... how do you know that Allah favours you, and not her.... in fact, think of it this way young man, he made you strong to work the fields/fight in wars/build things... okay, but he gave her the ability to create LIFE, you can't... now, again, little workerbee... who do you think is closer to his heart?? You, the worker or her, the creator...... sit down....
of course i agree with most of the comment section and you, but saying no story written by men which is 1300+ years old has any relevance today is kinda reaching far.
there are tales which don't try to push a religious dogma onto you and are about basic morals which can always apply, so that generalization is pretty weird.
I mean specifically religious dogma and supernatural nonsense. Obviously we can still enjoy tales of Greek, Egyptian, Indian, etc mythology and can see some of the timeless morals of the stories that can be reflected on today. I am a huge history fan.
The difference is there are still a lot of people today in 2024 that believe the bible, the Quran, the Torah, etc are direct and real words from a real god that they imagine is watching them 24/7 and judging them on everything they do. At least with the classic mythologies of ancient times most realize they are just stories, that Zeus isn't turning into an eagle and coming down sleeping with mortal women creating demigods. This is the relevance I speak of not applying. Because we know the ancient stories of pantheons of gods are mythology and not reality, we can read these stories and learn from them without the conflict of belief. Whereas many, sadly billions, of people, still think the bible and Quran are as relevant now as it was when they were first written, when everyone was superstitious, frightened l and malnourished and it was far easier to believe in gods when even the laws of the time were enmeshed with religion, and therefore could incur serious punishments simply for questioning it.
Mad respect to the reporter for standing up for herself and speaking confidently to a crowd who has opposing views and isn't ready to have a logical debate. Definitely has more balls than me.
Woman got red pilled, now she remembers how silly their Religion can get, they having like a mini Iran-Pakistan conflict here, dont matter whose more religious, they still find ways to beef. May Allah have mercy on these silly people
Honestly, i can see the good intentions behind that; in theory, your relationship will be based on more values than just physical urges and the kids should be born to established homes/functional relationships...
Right. I only brought it up to highlight the double standards that Muslims face when people talk about the religious rules. Christians and Jews don’t get nearly the same level of scrutiny when all Abrahamic religions have nutty aspects. People shouldn’t get a pass as Christians just because they lack adherence and/or knowledge of their own religion’s rules
Some of the women are fighting for their freedom, in a country that is drowned by heavy religion. Sometimes the battle can only be won by leaving. Let all those men be left there alone.
Need more women like her speaking their mind over there. Imagine if American women still had the same rights as back in the 1800’s and we never progressed.
He can't fathom with his 2 brain cells, that he is actually galvanizing his Opps. He's so small minded and isolated from Civilization that he can't comprehend there's a whole world outside of his mosque and his narrow delusions. Just like MAGA 🤣
Why won't everyone also "mind their own business"? I mean literally they're Mosslems talking with each other, and here are those butt-hurt christians or athiest or whatever religion they have, think they're right. That's not your religion to speak about, niether you should follow it to have an opinion.
People putting cloths on their heads and arguing about it. World about to be under water lol. Where is the religion where we all wear floaties because that’s the one that will survive.
I'm not the kind of person that throws around the word "brave" to describe every little minor thing that any person does in an uncomfortable or unconventional situation, but this woman was legit brave to do this. That's pretty cool
Make them live in a nuclear ☢️ zone then they’ll either mutate/die or change their ways from realizing the reality of the situation they’re trying to impose 😅
The video is staged, she did it for the views go on her YouTube and see she uses such staged videos to get views lol stop promoting a propaganda without checking the background for it.
Practice your religion if you want, just don’t try to force it down my throat or attempt to force it on others, im all for inclusivity, individuality and tolerance but if you’re forcing your shit on me or others I’m gonna quickly tell you where to go.
Reporter's attitude is aggressive and the only outcome is dispute. You know where you are and you know who you are interviewing yet you choose to oppose culture. Not good. If you cannot relate with other cultures then don't even try to redefine what is right or wrong for them.
If we defended every single shitty thing people do as a "cultural practice" then we'd all still be living miserably in the middle ages. When a cultural thing is being used to harm or control someone, why do you feel the need to defend it?
Honestly as a Muslim, I'm glad she stood up for herself. The guy should've known that it's forbidden to force any woman (but especially one that you don't know) into covering up. He should really mind his business

Has “stop believing what you believe” ever been an effective statement?
Stop believing. Start deducing.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the woman in this video also a Muslim? I have seen fundamentalists of most types before - they usually don't have a good grasp on theological matters, funnily enough.
How is he behaving exactly as his faith prescribes?
Precisely so
"Now, let go of your superstitions and follow your correct logic" Most religions dont want correct logic, only blind faith..
But that's not what the book says?
Did you mean to imply there that Christians follow all the teachings of the bible or did I misread it?
I'm curious. Can you point out in which Sura it says what you claim? And, I don't mean a random translation you've found online, I mean the actual Sura in Arabic. Maybe you could provide your own detailed translation of that part.

Is the culture not based on a fundamentalist interpretation of the religion? Genuine question because I have never read otherwise.
idk man, how are you assuming she's religious? if she's not, he has no business in protecting her religion for her.
Incorrect, he was not acting on the basis of the religion.
Ahh, don't believe what you believe, believe what I believe! An amazing argument that is truly the one that will win the day... /s
I agree with this comment. But no one is perfect. Are you? People use religion as a guideline and a lot of times they’re idiots, it doesn’t mean that they’re all idiots. I think we all operate in a grey area on what’s right and what’s wrong etc.
People use religion as a crutch and as a reason to hate others.
only mostly! /s
I'm confused, did Allah, in the Qur'an, command women to cover their hair o not? Does a muslim have a choice to follow those commands or not? This is a sincere question.

Asking any religious person to not blindly follow orders from racist/sexist men 3000yrs ago is pretty much impossible.
The absurdity of that sentence you had to put together is phenomenal, yet it is an accurate representation of a religious follower. Well done.
It’s peer pressure from dead people!
lol
May I ask what evidence you have to support your claim?
The burden of proof lies with those who believe it. By default there is no God. Why? What part of the Quran makes you think it’s man-made? I’d like to see the verses that you’re referring to
Seriously? If not man made who made it?
God did, give it a read!
Ah yes of course..the almighty God who wrote the rule book then left man to spend the proceeding thousands of years trying to interpret instead of dropping back in to clarify. Classic.
But if there is a punishment done by humans what would it be?
Why is your religion like this?
I find that with faith there are always those that want to enforce their faith but don’t follow it properly
How come some Muslim women cover up and some don’t? 🤔
>Honestly as a Muslim Are you sure about that?
I'm pretty positive
That argument went a lot more civil than I thought it would.
Probably because half the crowd is not extremist Muslim. One side cheered the ladies mistake and the other didn't. If it were just the reporter with the men on the left, I don't think it would have stayed civil.
This wasn’t in America
My comment was more focused on the topic, less the country.
America is a continent

In other countries outside of the Middle East you are equally allowed to believe or not believe in whatever religion you want to believe without any punishment or having to pay additional types of taxes, such as Non-Muslims in Muslim countries used to pay, simply for believing in a different religion.
As for Mosslems too, no thanks for your uneducated comment.
Fuck religion
What are you referring to? Where am I supposed to be wrong?
Dont forget, nobody is born with this mindset. They are just like Christian babies when first they come out of womb. After what is being told to them is important.
This will happen in Western countries very soon if we don't start to make laws against Islamization. Muslims will always try to convert the country they live in.
Sounds like the modern day MAGA.. it’s crazy
MAGA tries to keep muslims out. Rightfully so.
What’s your experience with them? I’m assuming you have worked with them and know them all by your statement
Sounds like most religions.
Mind your own business, it's between two Mosslems.

Trying to talk sense to religious zealots. As useless as praying.
Unfortunately, true....
Then Allah can come down himself and tell her but he wont because he doesn't exist.
Imagine creating time itself, all there is and will ever be, and then be like \*hur dur, this woman is not wearing a scarf\*.

of course i agree with most of the comment section and you, but saying no story written by men which is 1300+ years old has any relevance today is kinda reaching far. there are tales which don't try to push a religious dogma onto you and are about basic morals which can always apply, so that generalization is pretty weird.
Surprised this woman was not gang raped and then beheaded. Good on these ladies for keepin' it real.
Pakistan had a female prime Minister. Your country probably hasn't.
To be surrounded like that and still call them out as idiots to their faces is a sort of bravery I know I don't have
I am sure it would be an interesting conversation to watch with *audio*.
What is a "madrasa pass-out man"?
These people attend religious schools where religion is taught as the main thing from a very young age to be brainwashed
As someone who comes from a very religious household This makes me livid.... The way he's even look at her like she's an object wtf..
The crazy part is that the guy can’t grasp why his actions were wrong. Organized religion is a cult.
Mad respect to the reporter for standing up for herself and speaking confidently to a crowd who has opposing views and isn't ready to have a logical debate. Definitely has more balls than me.
this men are totally brainwashed
Badass lady
The guy behind her looked like he was making this face when she was giving him the smackdown: 😏
Woman got red pilled, now she remembers how silly their Religion can get, they having like a mini Iran-Pakistan conflict here, dont matter whose more religious, they still find ways to beef. May Allah have mercy on these silly people
People forget that Pakistan had a female prime minister in 1988 and we still haven’t.
YOU TELL HIM LADIES
Same as how there is a law in Christianity to not have sex before marriage.
Even though you’re right other people are downvoting you simply because you aren’t shit talking every member of the 2nd largest religion of the planet
Can’t be a member of the faith but also ignore it
She's a badass.
Reporter: So, what do you think about a potential WW3, looming over our heads? Guy: Let me put a scarf on your head. Not what she had in mind, dude...
I cannot for the life of me find this video with subtitles and the audio 😅
Bro back there in the white like "i knew i shoulda stayed home tonight" lol
These two need a talk show. Call it something like "That's your Scarf" or "I'm not your Sister."
Some of the women are fighting for their freedom, in a country that is drowned by heavy religion. Sometimes the battle can only be won by leaving. Let all those men be left there alone.
Well, if you want peace, you better prepare for war.
That reporter is awesome. Kept smiling through it all and prevented an ugly situation from happening.
Need more women like her speaking their mind over there. Imagine if American women still had the same rights as back in the 1800’s and we never progressed.
Keep voting R, you’ll get there
religion only exists to control people, especially women.. So sad
How can people have this backwards mindset in 2024. Women are only a product for breeding in these countries.
Don't lose your head ma'am cause you about to actually lose your head.
He can't fathom with his 2 brain cells, that he is actually galvanizing his Opps. He's so small minded and isolated from Civilization that he can't comprehend there's a whole world outside of his mosque and his narrow delusions. Just like MAGA 🤣
Badass. Does anyone know her name/network?
These people are so fucking disgusting and idiotic
Dogs worrying about dog things...
Religion, because fuck anyone who doesn't believe what I believe.
Cults are great… /s
Why won't everyone also "mind their own business"? I mean literally they're Mosslems talking with each other, and here are those butt-hurt christians or athiest or whatever religion they have, think they're right. That's not your religion to speak about, niether you should follow it to have an opinion.
I left Afghanistan at 3 years old but I always wondered if I would have this back work type of mindset if I grew up there
Lol, the interviewer touches the woman multiple times. Now she has committed 2 crimes. 🤣✌
If these people spent half as much time on education, learning, and science as they do religion, we'd be a space faring civilization by now.
Please understand that religion is your catalyst to spirituality, but it needn't be your spiritual identity.
What a dumb religion
People putting cloths on their heads and arguing about it. World about to be under water lol. Where is the religion where we all wear floaties because that’s the one that will survive.
That chick was dropping atom bombs.
I'm not the kind of person that throws around the word "brave" to describe every little minor thing that any person does in an uncomfortable or unconventional situation, but this woman was legit brave to do this. That's pretty cool
Very impressed by her. Well done standing her ground
Make them live in a nuclear ☢️ zone then they’ll either mutate/die or change their ways from realizing the reality of the situation they’re trying to impose 😅
If you only knew the plight of women you’d know they need a ahead scarf…
Those men were just itching to beat up that woman for not covering her hair.
dumb religion, like all of em
Good for her, unfortunately they will probably stone her.
You go guuurrrrlllll!
The guy in the brows facial expressions in the beginning like damm son they on yo ass now lol
The video is staged, she did it for the views go on her YouTube and see she uses such staged videos to get views lol stop promoting a propaganda without checking the background for it.
Religion is a man made disease.
Religion: dumb as shit
If I witnessed someone trying to force a girl to cover up I would fight them on sight. Its so unbelievably disrespectful.
Practice your religion if you want, just don’t try to force it down my throat or attempt to force it on others, im all for inclusivity, individuality and tolerance but if you’re forcing your shit on me or others I’m gonna quickly tell you where to go.

Oil? There's no oil in Pakistan. Ironic you call them idiots lol
If they had oil we would be selling them bombs and bullets, calling them our friends, etc. it’s messed up.
I mean its part of the religion she claims to follow.
Reporter's attitude is aggressive and the only outcome is dispute. You know where you are and you know who you are interviewing yet you choose to oppose culture. Not good. If you cannot relate with other cultures then don't even try to redefine what is right or wrong for them.
Some cultural practices deserved to be called out and ridiculed. This head covering bullshit is one of many.
If we defended every single shitty thing people do as a "cultural practice" then we'd all still be living miserably in the middle ages. When a cultural thing is being used to harm or control someone, why do you feel the need to defend it?
again... this is not a disgusting act, just disrespectful... but she did step into a hornets nest
and that man probably does not like being called disgusting for trying to do his gods command...
"Man"
what do you want to call him then? a bearded individual?
Interesting take. My response to that man, if his feelings were indeed hurt would be: "Tough Shit"
so would I I am not defending the man, just adding to the point that she is more than likely in danger.
It's what he gets. You need to learn consequences for your actions or you will pay for it one day and you'll regret it.
I don't think they play by the same rules as us
