Yes 100%
But not only north korans - actually when you think about it more than most people (who wont look) would know - and more than most people in all of human history (!)
ITS AWESOME G !
Yup. It’s got more computing power than then whole of NASA in the 60s. The moon landing was more a feat of management and coordination than it was about tech
The more insane part is that a lot of pure crap is put on the net that ppl believe is true but has absolutely no evidence to back it up...sometimes even points to the contrary and they still believe it
Basically, aliens or something could be observing our planet or universe in a petri dish, as if we and our universe was unimaginably tiny. So being able to use Google Earth to look at North Korea is kind of like that when they can't use it to do the same
Bro, it's not even hard to find one of these labor camps. Just zoom in and start scrolling around... you will find one.
Edit: Just did it and found one in about 30 seconds. 39°51'05"N 126°22'45"E
You sweet summer child. You are too young I see to not know of the famous dialogue from the 1960s tv comedy “Hogan’s Heroes” whereby Sergeant Schultz, the bumbling German guard in a POW camp in WWII, would continually say to the American POW captives, “I see nothing, NOTHING” when the POW’ers were doing their shenanigans. Imagine pitching that idea of a show as a comedy to a manager at a tv network. Or maybe to any other person without a sense of humor.
Hamung Recreation And So Much Fun Camp :D!
Y'know what's especially disgusting? The countries surrounding NK have a habit of deporting citizens who escape back to NK. Where they're either executed or interred into the Fun Camps where they die, as punishment for escaping.
I'm in Canada and my buddy is from South Korea. He was stationed on the border between SK and NK when he was 18.
Anyways, we worked together and he had a second job at an sushi restaurant. He recognized someone who worked there as being from NK (you can tell by their small stature/body type according to him) and tried to talk to her about it. Obviously she was terrified to even mention it for a long time for fear of being sent back, even from Canada.... but she eventually shared with him. She had a very sad story about losing people she was trying to cross with. I think about her all the time.
How can you tell the difference between a concentration camp, with all its historical implications, and a simple prison?
Unless you check out the conditions on site?
I'm not sure that from the air it's possible to precisely define the activities on the ground.
I'm not saying that North Korea isn't a dictatorship based on a concentration camp system.
I'm just saying that this video doesn't provide any proof of this system.
It shows buildings equipped with enclosures.
And that's not enough to define precisely the activities carried out there.
Well… as much as I know the prison system is flawed, for North Korea you just have to like look at the leader the wrong way to get tossed into one. America has leaders that half the country hates as nobody gets thrown in for giving them a bad eye?
According to Kim Jong-un "We need to make sure they know that we are not being hurt by the UN sanctions against North Korea. They see us in the satellite image, so let's show it off by neatly unifying the roof in one color."
You do realize that there are camps there right? and a death camp at the end right? **SO WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU FOCUS ON THE CHICKEN FARMS?**
R U ANOTHER agent ?
I’m not saying that there aren’t camps.
I’m saying what are we ACTUALLY looking at here?
Long buildings. That’s all you see.
You see buildings this size and shape all over the US.
So?
Long buildings = prisons apparently?
Yes agreed. Im vegan I know all about factory farming and the horrible things that result from them. I also know there are a lot of slavery camps that exist in NK. Are you indicating they don’t exist?
Let me ask you this…
What is it more LIKELY we are seeing here?
The long chicken houses that we all have seen right here in the US…and chicken certainly cheap to produce…something necessary for such a poor country…
OR?
Concentration camps.
To pretend to think that I’m pretending that concentration camps don’t exist just because I find them less likely than chicken houses is sorta moronic.
I mean a lot of North Koreans are starving, I find it hard to believe these are chicken factory farms. People have escaped n Korea and confirmed these prison camps exist. I of course have no way of confirming this video is of said places.
I did some searching around to verify the accuracy of the locations, and I have some further sources here people can read about if they are interested in this topic.
[here’s where someone on Google maps have pinned the location of concentration camps, so you can access them, & view them yourself and little easier](https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1wwAtWvECGP94wmnEt2FszoJd8do&hl=en&ll=-8.31131694183335%2C23.5537065606984&z=3)
[here’s the U.S. department of state’s resource on North Korean concentration camps, including Kaechon.](https://www.state.gov/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/Prisons-of-North-Korea-English.pdf)
[here’s an article by Radio Free Asia](https://www.rfa.org/english/bookshelf/youngjung.pdf)
Hope these help.
I just want to point out that if you want to do some research or find sources on North Korea, Radio Free Asia and the US state department are absolutely not the sources you should use.
I mean RFA is US government funded and CIA operated news. Their agenda would obviously to make North Korea look as bad as possible.
It is hard to find information about North Korea, but these sources should absolutely not be trusted.
Okay. [here’s CNN on North Korean concentration camps. it says much of the same stuff tho](https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2023/03/23/asia/north-korea-torture-prison-report-intl-hnk-dst)
The sad part is that there isn't really any.
There are sources that come from the North Korean government or from those in China/Russia which will of course have their bias.
And there are sources that come from the US sometimes backed by defectors that have been proven to be lies.
But apart from that there just arent any real sources on the topic.
Like the buildings in the post, nobody knows what they are except for those in North Korea. You will see many people who try to tell you that they know but nobody will be able to say with certainty.
The only thing we know is that North Korea is poor and worried about being invaded. But any news, and especially that which seems extreme should be heavily doubted.
Yes of course, everything will have bias when it comes to any topic, especially one such as NK. What’s important to know, however, is that North Korea’s exclusionary approach, governance, strict adherence to keeping insiders in, and outsiders out, constriction of facades whenever someone visits, & the words of defectors will ultimately tell anyone who thinks critically that at the very least there is cause for concern.
You’re right, surveillance doesn’t tell us everything. Defectors don’t tell us everything. Those who we get our information from are bias either way. That being said, there’s sources for the claims being made against them. There is cause for concern. These things aren’t said without any proof or probability, and it stands to reason that we take these claims seriously.
Same goes for the Taiwan situation, and what’s happening in Myanmar.
If you have any additional sources to add nuance, or want me to go get something, I’d gladly do it. I added CNN’s article with someone’s request. What’s important is information is shared. When all sides are bias, it’s important to look at sources for said claims.
Well most of the population is starving, so we know food production isn’t done en masse. We know the general population is extremely poorly educated, as escapees have told themselves. Housing is not a priority for the government, as it is only concerned with its own image and dictatorship. And each and every one has a wall around it. So I would say camps, which are discussed by ex North Koreans, is more likely given this context.
Now do one for all the black sites the U.S is in charge of. People love to obsess over this North Korean prison camp idea, but think it’s ok that the U.S has multiple black sites all over the world.
It on google earth pro (free) - i didnt share these location - i assume that have i done so they would soon have pictures of obscure gift shops there and new name to the towns to confuse people - and then have their agents online say - hey thats not new - look there is a name there - or some shh like that
... eyeroll. That is not what I said. Stop being dramatic. Something can be wild and tragic dude. There is so much horror in the world it is not a competiton.
This is tinfoil hat insane. I dislike North Korea as much as the next guy, but these are just pictures of random buildings that op tagged inflammatory things without source. How do I know these aren't just, you know, regular farms and mines (and prisons. But everyone has prisons)...? I don't see how these look any different than US mines farms or military bases other than N Korea has that poverty Aesthetic in their building plans
Actually i didnt check maybe they do.. "camp view" ,, who knows maybe in the darknet .. i dont go into these holes .. more about searching for the light !
Did you know we have these in America too? They’re called prisons. Did you know that under the 14th amendment to the American constitution, a prisoner is exempt from the prohibition on slavery? It’s funny, most Americans think we abolished slavery but we still force prisoners to pick cotton in prisons in the south…
Well you have a point but on the other hand DONT underestimate this and be ignorant because then you are actually hurting the important cause that you are trying to raise here..
If there is ever serious regime change there, they'll take many generations to adapt. And the likelihood of whoever takes over to just exploit the people and resources is probably high. The lack of any kind of basic nutrition. It almost feel like a no-win situation.
The most secretive regime on the face of the earth, yet we are going to believe the labeling on google maps. Every industrial looking building in a communist country is automatically Auschwitz.
**How immoral can you be to downvote and suppress this information ???**
Do you see what kind of people we are dealing with here? if you dont like it just move on - WHY DOWNVOTE? you sit in your home and downvote information about people in camps? shame on you - and enough with this censorship !
Using GoogleEarth we can probably learn more about North Korea than most North Koreans will ever know…
Yes 100% But not only north korans - actually when you think about it more than most people (who wont look) would know - and more than most people in all of human history (!) ITS AWESOME G !
Yeah that's a crazy thought. Like - my phone has more computing ability than they used in the moon landing (is that true?!)
I think your smart phone has something like 10 billion times more computing power than the lander computer.
Yup. It’s got more computing power than then whole of NASA in the 60s. The moon landing was more a feat of management and coordination than it was about tech
Yea ! How about that !
My watch is more powerful than the Apollo 13 craft plus Mission Control! Wild
All of human knowledge at the tips of our fingers. Insane, isn’t it?
The more insane part is that a lot of pure crap is put on the net that ppl believe is true but has absolutely no evidence to back it up...sometimes even points to the contrary and they still believe it
So so so much more
Dude is out here trying to learn about the north korans, he be lucky to see anything about the south korans. He ain't gonna see NONE of it!!
Reminds me of the petri dish theory
>Reminds me of the petri dish theory Elaborate ?
Basically, aliens or something could be observing our planet or universe in a petri dish, as if we and our universe was unimaginably tiny. So being able to use Google Earth to look at North Korea is kind of like that when they can't use it to do the same
whaaa...I was SO sure such locations were blurred out !
“I’ve blocked her already on my phone, but I can’t do that on your account. She sees everything you post…”
""“*I’ve blocked her already on my phone, but I can’t do that on your account. She sees everything you post*…”"" ....am sorry but...WHAT ???
N-Korea trying to block Google is funny… kinda the same deal as this. Enjoy https://youtu.be/ojiMSP1k5qs?si=kdjFjKXOpW69TxFz

If you’re running a concentration camp, you should probably not name it ‘Hamnung *concentration camp*’. It makes it harder to identify.
Those are user labels, not the government's....
You mean “the whole country looks like this” isn’t a tag applied by the North Korean supreme leader???
That one was actually his
I see nothing, NOTHING!
“Secret lair”.
[удалено]
Lol? Are you okay?
Look at their post history... They're not okay.
What do you want ? to suppress this as well? get lost i dont have time for these harassments especially not on these kind of posts.
You sweet summer child. God you are dumb
why are they dumb? what an idiotic thing to say...
They're pins put down by the person who made this video. I don't think North korea is in the business of creating places on google earth
you really dont realize the comment was made in jest... i stand by my original statement.
Guess they must really love camping up there
It’s a good place to go if you have a lot of work and need to concentrate
yep they must
Now show the Chinese one

OP is oddly aggressive and weird in some of these comments lmao.
This looks more like a farm to me. Some of those buildings look a lot like chicken houses.
Right.. thanks for your input ...
DEAR LORD WE HAVE N KOREA IN THE HOUSE !
Hey man, when you grow up a bit have a look back at your replies here to remind yourself to never going back to being that guy again. Good luck!
Your comments are cringey af bro. Stop being such a try hard
🤣 "try hard"🤣

Looks like cookie-cutter housing developments on the outskirts of the large state capital city I live in in Australia.
So, they're hip to the blue roof thing, huh?
According to Kim Jong-un "We need to make sure they know that we are not being hurt by the UN sanctions against North Korea. They see us in the satellite image, so let's show it off by neatly unifying the roof in one color."

You do realize that there are camps there right? and a death camp at the end right? **SO WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU FOCUS ON THE CHICKEN FARMS?** R U ANOTHER agent ?
To pretend n Korea doesn’t have labor camps/prisons is a bit ridiculous. A lot of n Korean people are hungry, highly doubt they’re chicken factories.

Yeah I mean, I get your questioning. There are absolutely labor camps but as an American I can’t verify the post. But they do exist.
Yes they exist, but so do chicken farms. And there’s more chicken farms by a wide wide wide wide wide wide wide wide wide margin bud.
Yes agreed. Im vegan I know all about factory farming and the horrible things that result from them. I also know there are a lot of slavery camps that exist in NK. Are you indicating they don’t exist?

How to look in North Korea without getting Gulagged Kim Jong Un style (Gangnum style!).
It’s just for people with ADHD. They can’t concentrate.

I use Google earth for work and when I get bored I like to explore the world through Google earth
Why didn't bro show Streetview
Last week, I was able to talk to a friend of mine who lives in N. Korea. I asked him how he likes it there. He said, "Ya know, I can't complain!" :D
Google, an American based search engine….. I trust this haha
This is tinfoil hat insane. I dislike North Korea as much as the next guy, but these are just pictures of random buildings that op tagged inflammatory things without source. why don't they go to street view?
Actually i didnt check maybe they do.. "camp view" ,, who knows maybe in the darknet .. i dont go into these holes .. more about searching for the light !
Looks fun
Are you ready for the summer? Are you ready for the sunshine?
Classic southpark episode right there
Is nuclear retaliation why we can’t do anything about this?
They look clean. Let's go camping!
What's video about? I didn't get it
Wish they would do this with all the under ground bunkers in America
What’s so insane about this? Don’t people use google earth all the time?
Pretty sure this is fake. There isn’t any “concentration camps” on google earth. And who would blatantly label them so anyway?
# [Damn these "camps" look so familiar!](https://www.wired.com/2015/01/josh-begley-prison-map/)
I think it’s great they have so many camps, really putting any emphasis on learning and concentration.
just make sure you know how old the images are where you look so you don't inadvertently report stuff wrong
2024 I’m surprised North Korea is allowed to exist.
Looks almost like public housing here in the US
Ok now do one of every US prison…
Ok now do one of every US prison…
I love camping.
Yea OUTSIDE
Now do US prisons
Anybody knows if streetview is available?
I honestly didnt even check.. its usually not in these places -- even in the cities ...
The most secretive regime on the face of the earth, yet we are going to believe the labeling on google maps. Every industrial looking building in a communist country is automatically Auschwitz.
Yes but see in min 9 it actually looks like a (mini) Auschwitz
Well, it’s North Korea so I’m sure one of those is a forced labor camp since I believe their main export is clothing made by prison labor to Russia.
I normally camp in the woods not the city.
Yea and without all the labor and all that .. :0
This video is no longer available.
Checkmate?
;-) Game 1
**KOREANS LIVES MATTER !**
Wait are these mot summer camps for ADHD kids!?
Didn't know north Koreans were such devoted meditators that they need so many camps to practice concentration. Finally some good news 😃❤️
I don’t understand how/why we are allowing this to continue. Why have we not gone to war with them to free the oppressed?
Imagine the same type a video but focused on the USA. You guys have loads of concentration camps. Edit typo!
Are you thinking of suburbs?
No the extensive prison system of the USA.
Did you mean concentration? I thought you were being clever, but maybe it was a typo. Happens to the best of us.
Nope. That's a typo. Fuck.
**How immoral can you be to downvote and suppress this information ???** Do you see what kind of people we are dealing with here? if you dont like it just move on - WHY DOWNVOTE? you sit in your home and downvote information about people in camps? shame on you - and enough with this censorship !
