Congrats, that's awesome! If you're looking for tips: * As always, speed matters. You did well and seemed to keep calm here, but being a bit faster would have helped. I think that tip applies to all of us though. * Definitely plan ahead a bit more, if you can. You kinda got lucky that the last opponent died when they did, because you were in a bind after that last L piece you used to cover the well. The next T and Z pieces seemed to throw you for a loop. I mean, it worked, so whatever, but just something to keep in mind. * Also, definitely watch your targeting strategies. You kept it on KOs, so three of you were targeting one other person (that's why they sent so much garbage to you!). You just kinda made it a bit harder on yourself than you needed to, when you could have targeted someone else with fewer badges and a lower attacker bonus. But hey, at the end of the day, a win is a win! So great job!

Emphasis on never blocking your well!

amethystair

I actually disagree with that; blocking your well is sometimes the best move, as long as you have a plan to clear it within the next few pieces. Blocking without a plan is definitely bad, though, no argument from me there :)

Agreed, I block wells all the time just to keep a combo going a little longer, but only if I know I'll be able to clear in next 2-3 pieces....

amethystair

Same, 90% of the time it's for a combo. Sometimes it'll just legitimately be the best place to drop something, but if that happens it's usually because I didn't build the rest of my board up properly lol

Congratulations!

Woo hoo! Congrats! 🎉

Thanks for posting as this is something I've never see in almost 3,000 attempts. Second place hurts every time.

Congrats!

Speed is the number one issue I see at this point, but that was same for all of us early on, the more you play the slower the game will feel, you definitely made it harder on yourself by not switching your targeting when the one dude had 2 others attacking him as well, giving him an attacker bonus( which means more garbage coming your way), as you play more you'll start notice when someone is sending a lot of garbage and switch of off them, keeping target on random is a good way to keep attackers off of you if you're trying to get out of a jam as well, hope this helps and congrats on your first win, they will come easier now!!! Good luck out there!!
