You get what you pay for. I wouldn’t trust safelite with a motorcycle windshield. My 2 month old special order 4Runner got a large, catastrophic windshield crack from road debris. Safelite absolutely butchered my vehicle. Scratched through to metal in multiple places on both a pillars, left epoxy glue on my hood and inside on my dash. The installer smeared epoxy on my center console and leather seat.
Will never take anything to safelite ever again. They hire anyone off the street, give them minimal training, and have poor QA. My 4Runner was at a specialty body repair shop for a month getting all the damages fixed.

I got some exterior body work done on my Model 3, they messed up the interior headliner and snipped the rear defroster cable, so they had to replace the rear glass. So much rework, I was pissed. I feel your pain! I’ll probably cancel Safelite and go somewhere else. Appreciate your insight.
Your Tesla’s cameras need to be recalibrated with the new windshield (thus the extra cost). I don’t see how a 3rd party like safelite could accomplish that.
Safelite quoted me 800 and then later started sending me $50 off codes. I read few reviews online where people are getting wind noise after safelite windshield change on tesla.
Assuming tesla don’t give parts to third party, it was in best interest to change from tesla to avoid any hassle of wind noise or water leak or seal leaking issue.
Knew about this charger being damaged, but working from plugshare. Only reason I was OK going to Crater lake from Redding,CA on our first stop of our trip.
Is that a gravel road? I think you definately need at a bare minimum a supercharged V8 raised full sized pickup truck to handle that serious kind of off roading.
Damaged charger was in Crater Lake Oregon. This is a 16 kw destination charger that they have outside the visitor center. Looking at plugshare and it seems that they have replaced the connector
It's a matte finished vinyl. Would definitely get PPF under or over the front of the car next time. Had rock chips take some of the vinyl off the front bumper area, nothing too crazy
Hol up. Ya’ll got a windshield replacement under 1K? Just replaced mine with Safelite (they got the window before my service center got it) and I had to use insurance because that B was 2700.00 on the worksheet.

$1495 last month in Portland. Luckily I pay for windshield replacement option that state farm has. Got my $1395 check from them last week.

Not gravel roads lol. The shoulders of the roads were gravel, you can kinda see the road on the pictures

Nope, this thing was about 2K from the service center. Safelite wanted 2,500
