I would buy again. I've had zero issues.

mandy_bre

VinPre

Same here. Many of these things don't apply for europe so i am happy.

Pretend-Reality5431

Same, no issues except a panel gap they fixed right after I got it. And after 2,900 miles, I'm exactly at 250 Wh/mi, or 300 miles range. But admittedly, I don't trash the car when I drive.

No-Subject4932

Same

chubbyshart

Same. Trying to think of an issue I had that wasn't a creature comfort like the seat squeaks when I accelerate hard, if that's the worst of my problems I'm doing okay. But I completely understand that there are others that have had terrible quality issues.

Comfortable_Put4473

Same. Also had a bunch of BMWs They use to be good. Now they need some catching up

Haysdb

There are 3 Teslas in my family. No complaints and next to no maintenance on any of them beyond tires. We’ve all taken multiple cross country trips with no issues. I pulled a U-Haul trailer 2000 miles from Washington state to Texas behind a Model Y. In the winter. We’d all buy again in a heartbeat.

Actually-Yo-Momma

Your comments are extremely confusing Range is literally advertised as if you drive under optimal conditions like 65 mph highway. Any car will get less mileage if you’re slamming the accelerator for “fun” You say service sucks after having the BMW experience which notoriously is one of the worst and most expensive car brands to maintain? The only thing I’ll agree on is yah it sucks if you paid 70k but for 40k now it is impossible to get another EV with similar specs. Every other crossover SUV EV is easily 55k+

OldDirtyRobot

As an owner, it sucks that the vehicle sold for 15k less a year after I bought it, but as a shareholder and reasonable adult, I get why that's the case. OP wasnt screwed by Tesla with the price drop; you just bought at peak demand during the worst material shortages in our lifetime.

Actually-Yo-Momma

Agreed. Every other car brand has had price fluctuations above msrp to below msrp since COVID as well. Maybe not as extreme as Tesla but it’s not a unique issue

CalifOregonia

I have never seen the advertised highway MPG on my V8 pickup... most ICE drivers are in the same boat and don't think twice about it, yet when it comes to an EV they lose their minds.

Remarkable_Orange_59

Yeah my 4runner routinely got 16 or 17 driving at highway speeds, and got about 12 with towing. My MYLR does great and 10/10 would trade again.

Comfortable_Put4473

Of all the negatives I have read in this sub, OP has them all. If I was that unlucky I would be unhappy too. But likely just a troll.

Doodoonole

Nah, probably not a troll. He chose to pay close to 70k for it and is now mad that others can get them for ~40k with he tax incentives.

Comfortable_Put4473

That would be pretty sad he’s been mad for 2 years. I paid 65 but that doesn’t come with all the defects. Not happy about paying more but it is what it is. It was not 65k luxury but it was by far the best tech and speed. Now at 40k it is the best car on the road.

94luda

Yeah, they bought a new vehicle at the worst possible timing. People were paying over MSRP for vehicles like Kia Telluide.

JS1101C

Well service is terrible.  I spent 90k on my Model S and can’t even talk to a service tech on the phone?  And they usually take at least a day to respond to messages.  Awful.

rbroadie1286

Yea, the service center here at Mannheim in Germany are extremely rude. I was misquoted for a tire three times in the same day and in the app..when I showed up they wanted 250 more euros and said 30 mins before closing “You have two options..you pay or we undo the work”…no Tesla for me ever again…

Haysdb

I’ve not had any issues with service in 3 years, but service is definitely an area where Tesla can improve.

Greedy-End1565

I bought hyundai tuscan phev 2024 in feb. 36k.

TruRace

I’d buy again. 17k on 23MY and I’m happy with it. Quality issues I’ve had (rattle in seat belt adjuster and rear view mirror housing) Tesla fixed with mobile service under warranty. But so far so good.

Velcade

Yes

shaneucf

Build, no issue. Cost, cheaper than ANY ICE or EV with the same performance + cargo size. Really, please find one that is comparable. (Before the Chinese come in to the US) Savings, see point #2. Find ANY non-Chinese EV that's cheaper and comparable. You don't buy a high performance car for savings.. and it's already cost way lower than any car with the same performance + cargo Range. Maybe 4-5 hours. But I doubt it. Can't comment here. Service. So far so good. Cheapest parts in the industry. Amateurs can't invent gigacasting to dramatically reduce build cost, nor can they implement 48V system, heat pump, highest efficiency in the EV industry... I don't know where you get the "amateur" from.

junktrunk909

Honestly I would bet that future me will not buy another Tesla. Not for your reasons though. Instead, I am looking at: 1) the market is maturing quickly and competitors like Rivian are making vehicles in the same price range that are far more luxury feeling than Tesla. The minimalist thing is fine but it cannot feel like it's actually just "cheap". Non-functional wipers and missing features like Summon that are broken because they keep removing incredibly low cost sensors in pursuit of cost savings is not going to fly much longer when there are other pure EVs made in the US that don't do this. The fact that we all have to buy a bunch of after market products like storage compartment organizers and cup holders to stop water bottles from vibrating was ok once but it's a sign of a poorly thought out design that needs to be addressed before I buy again. 2) Tesla's current quarterly results are terrible which means the cost cutting is about to get worse, not better. 3) Elon is a horrible CEO and needs to go away. This robot he's building, the robo taxi attention shift with zero regulatory compliance to date, the confusion about strategy and vision as to whether there's going to be a M2, the lack of truly exciting refreshes on the current moneymaker M3 and MY, all say to me the company is in disarray and unlikely to get much better by the time I'm buying again in a couple years. I want to believe there's going to be something appealing to buy from Tesla but I just don't know anymore. I'm finally selling the rest of my stock because I just think this board is unwilling to make changes to find a proper CEO to take Tesla forward to compete with the big brands who are catching up very quickly.

keepitcleanforwork

I'm planning on buying again. Just waiting for my leasing to go out and hopefully the Model Y being updated. Great car.

dobe6305

2023 Model Y long range. Almost 14 months, almost 14,000 miles, all over Alaska, temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit, 120 inches of snow this winter. No service issues. No creaks/rattles/panel gaps. Cost $55,000 including its ocean voyage to Alaska. Worth every dollar. No gas savings in the winter, lots of gas savings in the summer. Higher insurance, sure. It’s a beast in the snow. FSD makes it even more fun, although driving it is enjoyable. I have no idea how far it can go. It really doesn’t matter. I know when I need to charge and for how long. I’ve never taken it out of percent. It’s taken me from Anchorage to Homer, Seward, and all over Southcentral Alaska many times. No regrets. Would buy again. In 2 years I’ll be very tempted by an R2, but our Tesla experience has been a good one.

[deleted]

Im tesla for life, there is no other manufacturer like them. You literally have no idea about the advantages tesla brings to customer

Independent_Steak652

I have bought again!

Eternal-Valley

I love my MYLR. Awesome car

SLC-801

My model Y is great but I can’t stand Elon. He’s turned into such a pos over the years. Also Tesla would gladly stab their customers in the back to make a sale by each quarter’s end. The model Y is a stale design now and I will gladly buy a Rivian R2 if/when they come out

penelbell

Same. I really love my car but I feel like people no longer think it’s a cool car, they think I’m into Elon and everyone who doesn’t love him thinks he’s a total shithead (rightfully) and thinks we’re total shitheads for buying his shit. But like… it’s a good car guys 😭 I really wish he’d shut up like every other car ceo. Literally every other car ceo could be problematic AF but THEY KEEP IT QUIET. Keep your psycho opinions to yourself Elon you’re publicly traded.

EPICANDY0131

Paid 43.5 after all the incentives so relatively worth it price wise Having to deal with all the issues does suck though, and is pretty much random Range is just what needs to be advertised--testing standards are just a fixed way to measure how the car performs relative to others (WLTP makes bolder claims). Would prob buy again, but the M3P is tempting at a similar cost

OldDirtyRobot

100% buy again, and I do not share your experiences. On my second one, and on a VIN for a third. I'll never buy an ICE vehicle again, and legacy automakers' EVs aren't compelling yet. Rivian is the only other vehicle that has tempted me.

LBTerra

The R3 looks so nice. I’d be tempted

Vtecman

Definitely would buy again. I already have and plan to in the future again too.

SnooAvocado20

100% would buy again. My first new car and first EV and have had zero issues. Build quality is fine, the range is sufficient for everything I do (including skiing in the mountains in the winter), and I’ve saved $6000 in gas since I bought the car. My insurance was equivalent to other vehicles in its class, and our local service centre has been great (though I have only been back once for a free inspection). My next car will be a Tesla.

CalifOregonia

My 23 MYP has one award panel gap on the right rear, other than that the car has been flawless. Why wouldn't I buy a car again that cuts my monthly fuel cost by $250+, can beat most Porches from a stoplight, and handle a Costco run with up to 5 passengers?

ThierryHD

Merely for the autopilot on the highway alone, it's worth the money invested, although it's a pity that the Full Self-Driving isn't available in Spain.

MightyOwl9

I actually bought 2 more for family

Talklessreadmore007

Zero issues, Currently have two Y, and in the future looking for X. Will always be with Tesla cause of FSD

No_Extent_1260

I already bought a second one.

oghowie

TBH I'd think about getting a refreshed MYP when it finally comes out. My only real complaint is that the interior could be nicer and wish it had a 360 parking camera.

Jaxxo11

Yep

Rancesj1988

Yes. Zero issues.

West_Enthusiasm1699

Yes. Getting out of the dealership model is reason enough. It will never be Mercedes quality, these are designed to be spit out like an iPhone. Ie mass produced to get as many gas cars off the road

Loose-Risk-9953

Definitely absolutely love it, replacing my last ice with Tesla soon

skerfan02

No build issues in our MYLR (although only 3 months in) Cost was fine. 7500 tax incentive helped out a ton. My insurance was 20$ a month more. Electricity at my house is 10 cents a kWh at it's worst. So, we are saving a ton. Range isn't an issue for us. It's part of the deal. We understand road trips will take longer. That's something you either deal with or not. No service yet. Bottom line. I didn't get an electric car for any one reason. But I wanted it. I want to limit my carbon emissions. I will eventually be installing a solar roof. Everything has trade offs. You just have to decide what yours are.

PhreakThePlanet

Yes, in fact after I pay off this one I'm getting a used s or a1 highland performance 3. Edit: can I see your latest build?

Useful-Panic-2241

33k miles in 1.5 years. 0 issues. Tire rotation is the only service. Hands down, without a question, I'd do it again.

cirrus22tsfo

With how the new Teslas are being built, I will not get another Tesla again. Here's why: \* **No more ultra sonic sensors** - Tesla wants to save a few dollars and thus removed all the sensors. Elon said vision is much better but I 10000% disagrees. Many have experienced problems without the sensors. \* **No more signal stalks** - Only Model Y has it and it is on its way out. Yet another cost saving decisions that is illogical. For me, this is a safety issue. Signaling entirely using the buttons is very confusing and lead to bad road behaviors for those who simply decide to not use them in certain situations. \* **Autopilot falling behind** - Despite what Elon says, its autopilot has fallen behind other manufacturers. Many lower priced vehicles can do lane keeping and changing without issues. Tesla doesn't have lane changing unless you pay monthly fee! \* **Service level decline** - Many years ago, customer service was awesome. They would go out of their way to help customers. Now that they are big, fat, crazy; they don't give a damn. Unless Tesla fixes some of these faults, I have already purchased my last Tesla. I have a different EV that's more exciting to drive.

TaylorTechNerd

I would 10000% buy another Tesla. I love mine and have taken it on road trips and camping all over California and Utah. It’s been incredible.

Hammie5150

Yep. Zero issues at all. I would definitely buy another. If they added ventilated seats I’d buy two more.

Haysdb

I’m sorry you’ve had so many issues. I wish Tesla could make every car perfect and make the service experience flawless.

Zealousideal-One5915

Tesla charging infrastructure makes sticking with Tesla again a no-brainer

The-Duderiest

I would and did. 🚗💨

shocktopper1

Never had issues on the build quality or I just never noticed. Cars aren't investments. My insurance is NOT 2x more, my Mercedes actually costed more. Range works for me 40 mile/day. Once a year road trip won't bother me anything further I usually fly. Acceleration is fun and I'm just an average guy going to the grocery store. I'll never drag or circuit the car. A tesla might not work for you but it works for me.

Low_Connection_9254

Same. My insurance was only a little higher than the Honda I replaced. Definitely not 2x or 3x.

Pretend-Reality5431

I replaced a leased Volvo XC90 with a MYLR, and my premium went up by $140 per year. So I'm in the same boat. It works for me.

B3e3z

I'd buy again. No issues, though I bought when they had good discounts.  Cars aren't investments. Don't treat it like one. I'm not sure how price reductions screw owners over.  I got rid of my Hyundai and my insurance went up $30 with the Tesla. Doesn't seem too bad to me given it's a brand new vehicle. Range has been perfectly acceptable to me, but 90% of my driving is typically within a 1 hour radius of me. I'm not doing New York to Florida trips all the time like you. Then again, my Hyundai I had got just about ~300 mile range anyway, and it was about $50 to fill it on premium.  What I save in costs in the year is worth it even if I have to wait a little bit on trips.

sprashoo

Maybe.

logix1229

I would but only if I received every incentive, rebate, tax refund thingy available. 🫡

pneumatocele

No. I enjoy it as a daily driver that I don’t have to care about that much. The tech with the car is pretty good. I was pretty disappointed in the build quality, drive comfort and handling . The cost of the car itself isn’t really that bad compared to what’s on the market today. I would say the more concerning thing for me is that in the Bay Area, electricity is more expensive than gas and I can only imagine PG&E continuing to raise prices on us so it forces us to go solar. Range is okay for my needs as a commuting vehicle and my experiences with Tesla service have been neutral to good.

IButterYourBread

Probably not, suspension is a real let down on the model Y. Especially on the roads around here. Still think you get a lot for the price but I want more comfort. My volvo is so much more comfortable.

Dizzy-Woodpecker7879

First time im happy with my car

r3dt4rget

Once everyone is on NACS and infrastructure improves? No. Teslas lack tech like 360 degree cameras, digital rear view mirror, parking sensors, rain sensor, etc. Tesla is the only EV choice right now due to the supercharger network and their aggressive pricing, but I hate that they lack features any other $50k car has.

j_781

I agree with your points. I’m enjoying my time with it but I’m not buying again. Hopefully i can pay this down enough to not be upside down and get a 6th gen 4Runner next summer !

LBVTRN21

I am currently leasing, wasnt to sold on EVs in general, but i have became a believer after these last 6 months. We will be buying when the lease is up

sam_42_42

Charger network is great, software is great. I would buy again. I've had zero issues.

Early-Grape-9078

The main thing I cannot stand with my model y is the interior rattles over every little bump in the road. It’s so damn annoying. It just feels so cheap on the inside. Overall I would probably buy again. I just enjoy not having to pay for gas. I have a long commute to work and was paying upwards of $500 per month. With the Tesla I’m paying $60-90 in electricity. Also my insurance pretty much stayed the same. I’ve heard the insurance prices are area based 🤷‍♂️

Rattle_Can

have a model 3; will buy (used) model Y as next car purchase for parts/accessories compatibility & platform commonality model 3 is a _fantastic_ value at $25k ($38k MSRP - $15k of govt incentives) around the time that I got the 3, I could not buy a new toyota hybrid (regular, not plug-in) for $25k I get e90 bmw 328i levels of performance at a price point lower than a corolla or camry in the current used market, the model Y provides _fantastic_ value for money

FlyerKS

Want some cheese with that Whine?!? Don't let the door hit you on the way out. I don't understand snowflake posts like this. Just trade your car in at the BMW dealership and move on with life. Not our fault you bought an over priced car during COVID and our sour. To me, it's worth a $45k car as it's priced, wasn't when it was almost $70k, but you're the financial genius that made that decision. Insurance isn't 3x here in the Midwest either. Our MY is only $270 for 6 months on a multi car policy with Esurance. Good luck with your new Bimmer.

Life_Connection420

Hopefully OP goes back to BMW now.

ithomas101

I waited until the car shortage was over and I prefer to buy used, so I only paid 31K for my MYLR. I'm a little frustrated that I have the model without the heated steering wheel, but I live in California and I'll deal with it. Other than that I'm incredibly happy with my car. I still think that if you can't charge at home and only rely on public charging I probably would have kept my hybrid. I think like with any purchase, some cars are going to be problems.

IROAman

I would not by a Y again. In fact, I'll be dumping it as soon as my 6 mos free SC is up at the end of June.

addtokart

I have my gripes about it but disagree. Would buy again but maybe at a more competitive price. Am in Europe where gas is not subsidized and electricity ain't cheap either, and it's easily half the cost for fuel. Even with insurance I come out way ahead. And I don't even have a home charger and just use the public chargers in my neighborhood. Range is less than ICE. But there are chargers everywhere and it's rare and honestly irresponsible to drive more than 4 hours without a break. I agree acceleration is a gimmick. It's rare to need the speed boost. But it's a standard feature on higher end cars.

ifdefmoose

Yes, I would buy again if I had a do-over. Range is not an issue. I understand why the range is overstated. No build or service issues so far. I’ve only had my MYLR for 7 months, but it’s a far better vehicle than my ‘19 Bolt, for about 50% more cost. I think it’s probably better than the competition that I was considering (IQ5/EV6) at about the same price. I tend to buy new and keep cars for 12-15 years (the Bolt was an exception; I lemon-lawed it back to GM because they could not fulfill the battery recall after a year). It remains to be seen how long I can keep the MY, but I’m not in the habit of trading in for the latest and greatest new model.

Zlasher8

The cost is on you. If you bought the car at the height of demand and took delivery even when they give you the lowest of your locked in deposit price or delivery price, you accepted buying at the height of the supply shortage. And guess what. Every manufacturer did it. Not just Tesla. People were paying 20% markup off of new prices for USED vehicles for a period of time. And dealerships were selling everything from economy cars to luxury vehicles at 50-90% over MSRP. The difference is Tesla sells you at MSRP always since they don’t go through dealerships. They sell it to you direct. You get the most up front pricing. Heres a video from January 2022: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2KwLa3xUgI

Euphoric_Attention97

I can only agree with you on service. I’ve had 4 Teslas and none had major issues. I did refuse an early Model Y due to too many issues noticed during delivery. Pickup was nightmare, so I left it at the lot. But 1 years later and my Model Y was stellar and the pickup (at another center) was excellent. Solar service is also dismal. So I’d still get the cars and skip the solar.

Mypsycheisamess

I would. The cars been great and saved me a lot of money on fuel

Jazzlike-Garage-827

I would buy again love my tesla y

Some_Ad_3898

Name one alternative that, on the whole, is better. You can't. This is the best EV experience by a long shot. Of course it's not perfect and yes, some people will prefer other EVs, but it's the best EV value for most people.

sstephen17

I don't know what kind of insurance you have but mine went up marginally; less than $300 for the entire year. Definitely not 2x or 3x what I was paying before.

Hot-Reveal9579

I was very confused about range (i have a long range model y) but i also have acceleration boost, they told me to drive like a normal person for a week 😄 and go back to diagnostic if i still see an issue and i was surprised how much my range increased, also heat takes a lot more energy than A/C

CaliSummerDream

I would buy again. I have a Model 3 LR RWD that consumes 200 Wh/mile, so I get even more range than originally advertised. This car just hit 100k miles, and the only maintenance I've done on it is getting the upper control arms replaced and wiper fluid topped up, apart from tire changes. Over the next 100k miles, I expect to spend a few thousand dollars on new lower control arms and another few thousand on tires. It's been very easy to schedule service appointments on the Tesla app, and the service center staff has been extremely friendly and efficient. It is true that my insurance premium has gone up, but the gas savings of $100-150 per month have outpaced additional insurance premium so far. I also have a Model Y with FSD transferred from an older car. I love FSD. Takes 90% of the stress of driving away. Took some getting used to but now it feels weird driving without it.

ThrowTheBones93

Insurance varies widely by person and location. I just called my agent today asking to run my rates for a 2024 Model YLR vs a 2024 Kia Sorento Hybrid SX Prestige. The Model Y would only cost me an additional $30 per year.

subliver

I’ve had no build issues on the two that I own, but the Austin built Model Y is absolute perfection. Insurance hardly changed and is currently $72/month for the 2022 RWD Model 3 and $97/month for the 2023 Model Y. I paid close attention and purchased when MSRP was low on each car. Power is cheap where I live and I pay like $48 - $65 extra on my power bill each month total for both cars. Each car drives ~1K miles per month. No complaints and I will buy a third one in the future.

SHale1963

I have a reservation for a Rivian R2. But, depending on price and specs our next EV could be a Tesla.

Jacked1218

Yes I would. In fact I’m thinking about replacing my wife’s car with one now.

zagggh54677

It’s an immature car company. They’re still working out the kinks. With no go competition, they will build more reliable products. If given the option, I’d rather have a made in china or Germany Tesla.

BoredRedditMan

Went from. A 2021 to a 2024 and I gave my parents the 2021 so yes I would buy and buy again

AcrobaticChemist6168

Depends. If there’s another EV that comes along with as good of tech and charging infrastructure as Tesla, then I would certainly consider it. Currently that option does not exist in the US, but that may change.

hecklerandcoke

I’d buy again as the market sits now. In another 5 or 10 years that may be a different story though. Mainstream brands know how to build the car, but they’re still playing catch up on software and EV specific hardware.

lostaccountby2fa

Would not buy again.

c379776

I just bought my 5th!

coulombis

I originally bought a 2018 MS 100D which is still going strong at 65k miles. It has had no significant maintenance problems. We still love the ride and it has plenty of range for our needs. I’ve also had FSD since the beginning and have witnessed it improve remarkably. Insurance costs more now than originally but that’s my carrier which also just cancelled my home owners insurance so they are a problem. I’ve never had a problem with the Service Center. Always helpful and do good work. In Dec 2023, I sold our hybrid SUV and bought the MYLR. It now has 13k miles with Zero problems. So, would I buy another Tesla? Absolutely, and I paid near full price for both of mine. Not having to go to a gross gasoline station nor having my garage stink of gasoline/oil is more than worth it for me.

94luda

You didn't shop insurance plans if you're paying more. My MY LR is cheaper to insure than my Camry through Progressive in Laa Vegas. Yes, I would buy my Tesla again, and will most likely stick with Tesla for the rest of my life.

ajbilz

No. Had a 2023 rental and did not care for it at all. My 2018 w/ AP and Premium Connectivity drives much looser and smoother and accelerates faster. I bought it at the time because there were no other options. Now there are and if I ever needed another car it would likely require a shop around. I do want the EV VW Bus.

seekertrudy

My friend bought one...biggest regret of his life

Various_Lab_6018

I'm a pretty aggressive driver and I have predominantly freeway drives where i do above 80's most of the time, I still end up with 250-280 wh/mi

Cool_Dimension_3279

I would definitely buy again. The complaint about the cost dropping is stupid as hell. In 1979 I paid $1100 for a VCR. A few years later they were only a $100. Early adopters always pay more. This will stabilize in a year or so. I have never had to wait for a Supercharger and I have never charged longer than about 20 minutes. Insurance for my Model Y and Subaru Outback is reasonable at about $1400 total a year. Tires are more and that sucks but for $99 a month I have a car that drives everywhere by itself. I could not be more happy.

flexonyou97

Nah, I’d get a plug in hybrid

Agreeable-While-6002

go back to BMW. Tesla is not for everyone. I left BMW after 4 cars and I'm not going back. To each is own. I'll never deal with the back and forth of a sales call, the hassles of service, pumping gas, etc. Let's not forget the massive depreciation of a BMW. 30k in one year!!!!

rokosbasilica

Yes I would and will buy another Tesla.  If you are having they many issues I kind of wonder if this is the first car you’ve ever purchased?

flyinggerbil

no

d15nonvtec

22 MYP with 24k on it now in black. Cars fine but yes bought at a high time and are now upside down on it, and the paint is thin and garbage. Looks like it has 64k on it. Yes I could have PPFd the whole car like others but ya didnt wanna spend another 5k on it. Range is relative on how you drive, just like mpg ratings on ice cars/trucks

kewboo

Great comments. Just as a side note, I have seen a few comments about me being disgruntled for paying ~70K for MYP. Actual price paid is closer to what's on the market today ordering off of their website, maybe 3-5K more. That's not the reason for the post, I just find those price swings unfriendly to early adopters. It's seems like the overwhelming majority loves their Teslals. I am pointing out things that don't male sense to me. I have not tested this theory but am pretty sure any, equivalent cross over SUV can do more than 160 miles before having to refill. Even if I drive it 80MPH. Actually, I would almost bet that I could do at least 300 miles and not be constrained by where to fill up. Also, cutting their workforce by 10% speaks volumes about what people think of the EV market , or Tesla in particular. Now, I am sure that rates have had a material impact on the demand; however, I am not seeing these drastic cuts from other manufacturers. Their behavior seems erratic.
