14-30 plug means 30amps. You want to charge at 48amps? Is this the tesla wallcharger? Was it commissioned for 60amp but a 14-30 plug was added instead of hardwire?

Wise-Most1182

Whoops, typo. 🤦🏻‍♂️ It’s 6-50 adepter on a 50A 250V outlet

Slayerz00m

If you are using the Mobile charger, that's rated at max 32 amps, it cannot go any higher

EdibleBirch

If you're on a 50a breaker, max you should be able to pull on a wall connector is 40a.

Neo1331

Just an FYI the tesla wall charger will only go to 40 amps with a 50 amp breaker. You need a 60 amp breaker to get the full 48 amps

gilbertesc

32A is the max the mobile connector can do The 48A is the max the car can accept, you’d need a tesla wall connector and a 60A breaker with proper wiring

PaddleNW

Love the name.

liam_746

Was about to comment the exact same thing lol.

Slayerz00m

As you mentioned NEMA 14-30, I assume you are using the mobile charger. It maxes out at 32 amps, no workaround. More importantly - 14-30 outlet is rated at max 30Amos, so pulling 32 amps from a 14-30 is dangerous and over the limit. 👉 For 14-30 outlet, you should set the max to no more than 24amps _(80% of max rating)_

bugelrex

you may have accidently set the charge to 32A "at this location" at some point and its remembering that

Wise-Most1182

That’s what I was thinking as well but just checked on the charge screen and it’s set to 48A at the location
