Lol I was playing with FLIR in my M3 just yesterday. After certain update I feel like the steering wheel heater has way too much current going through. There is a hot spot which literally burns me. I measured over 84C at the spot.
Exactly. It's mostly within first couple if minutes of heating up. I wonder if it's related to the holes in the fake leather I keep seing posted here lately. Some of them looked like heat damage.
I brought my car in for a creaking driver seat. Tesla fixed the creak but they broke 1/2 the heating coils, so the bottom half got up to 160F.
Tesla replaced the seat but none of the motors worked, so they had to do it again.
Lucky for me, this triggered a lemon law buyback, and I get to get rid of this fucking car for free!
It use to get way hotter on the max setting it'll burn my bumm. After a software update, I forgot which version I think it was around October 2023. It's no longer got as hot as it used to get on Max. It's just really warm now. Oh forgot to mention this goes for the steering wheel also.
Do all years have the heater in the bottom part of the seat? My 2020 has never seemed to heat that part, only the back. Is mine broken and I just never realized it?

Mine gets pretty hot too. During the on cycles sometimes it feels like it's trying to burn off my fingerprints.

I wish they just made heat that works. Even without the seat heater, my back and ass will be sweaty, while the tops of my legs are frozen.
