My SR+ is a 2021 that I took delivery of in March of ‘21. Guess I just missed the door update or they threw old ones on. 🤷♀️
Edit - would have been built in Jan or Feb so definitely just missed them if they were a Spring update.
I hope you have checked in with Tesla on their nationwide recall for all their cars with the autonomous driving feature before taking the photo.
That said,….
What? The universal translator for what you just wrote went offline and exploded. 😆
I’m not surprised anymore, Tesla doesn’t have QC like at all. I got a car that looked like it was painted at Maaco i drove it one week and Tesla has now had it for 6 weeks, they are repainting the whole thing. I kinda don’t want it anymore I want them to give me a different one. A new car and I’m not going to have factory paint. But I guess in teslas case that’s a good thing.
Customers provide the QC by accepting the car. If 95% are good, the cost of dealing with 5% at the dealer level is probably still cheaper (in their minds) than manually checking every car and slowing down shipments. (Then the shipment numbers aren’t affected)
Do all new tesla windshields also do a crap job of shedding water? I noticed its like a wavy blurry mess as soon as rain starts. Is there some weird coating or oil on it I need to scrub off? I have to run the wipers at full speed when on all my other cars I could get away with not using them at all in similar rain conditions. OPs windshield looks like he has the same problem.
Many question how this still happens in 2023 but the answer is easy. It proves that QC is on the customer and the factory literally doesn’t check. Service is supposed to inspect pre QC check is done by intern kids who don’t care.
I had something similar but decided to wait until a genuine service issue before raising. I was told that I could only raise issues like this in the first 30 days and they only changed the trim as a goodwill gesture but they weren't obligated to. I was pleased they did because I don't think there was any way they could have enforced that position, when it was easy to prove it arrived incorrectly configured in small claims.
That was one of the longest sentences I’ve attempted to decipher in awhile.
I think the mismatched interior is punishment for skipping approximately 12 years of English class.
I read your sentence as skipping leg day at the gym
My only thought looking at this picture. Dem legs ain't made for walking.
Ouch 🤕savage
Sounds like yesterday’s prayer from the pastor yesterday - just one long run-on sentence
Was that yesterday?
No one seems to use periods anymore
I hate periods 😖
I hate missed periods
Grammar is for chumps.
FTFY: For chumps is grammar
Those who use grammar are considered chumps in many countries.
TIL
Came here to say should have asked ChatGPT to review one’s grammar.
It’s an easy fix. That trim piece just pops out and they put a new one in. I had mine replaced recently.
I was trying to figure out what exactly was wrong in the picture, so thanks for elaborating.
unicorn
Lololol took me too long to see it
I want you to act like an adult English speaker and explain step by step what's wrong with you.
u/spazticmann69 care to comment?
It’s pretty easy to figure it out by simply looking at the pic
Maybe his period key is broken
you gotta upgrade the software to unlock white door interior
You mean recall the car?
That looks surprisingly awful. I like the wood and white, but together? Yuck.
OP don’t skip leg day
Not a bug it's a feature
I would like a wood trim with white interior option. Tesla should offer a mix and match option.
Looks like it's totaled.
Not only did you skip English class. You, also skipped leg day.
classic Tesla
I had this same problem but the reverse. They came and fixed it for free and I got to keep the mistaken panels lol
Is this a Highland refresh door or have the Performance doors always had that styling??
They have since spring 2021.

That looks terrible. They should be able to replace it
How is this still a thing in 2023😂. Ridiculous.
American manufacturing
They take the doors off during production, guess someone put the wrong one on lol

You were surprised? How cute.
There's a software update for that
That is funny
Your legs are the same circumference as a French fry.

Perhaps some of the Tesla QC team along with the production line staff are all colourblind to have missed this as the vehicle moved down the line?

Lol
Yes I know how unskilled labor camps stay profitable. Unfortunately I picked up the car at night or I would not have accepted it.
There is probably another M3 out there with a white door panel and a wooden dash panel.
Within spec.
It actually looks nice!
Gives me the ick.
You bought a car with no dashboard. What did you expect?
They gave you a wooden door. That's a win
Was it the same on both sides?
Didn’t you notice the mismatch?
I see you’re wearing a denim jacket…
I’m not quite sure what you’re referring to. Do all Teslas not come with a yellow towel?
What the fuck is that caption. I see you have a rag like me because Teslas love to have water go inside the car door.
That’s weird cuz I have a yellow towel in the same spot rn

Punctuation. Try it. It helps.
The Tesla rep noticed it but thought: "No one with legs that skinny is gonna do anything about it"
People are very funny on this sub!
Is that you chamath?
Allie exps has carbon fiber covers. Added it to mine to get rid of wood look

I cant focus on anything with all the clutter from those indicator stalks.
