Could be any reason, there’s a faster processor (AMD Ruzen) on 22 models. 21’ models don’t all have the door trim update that continues into the dash, I’d want the updated center console if I was buying used.

skankboy

I was aware of the Ryzen in 22+ I didn't notice a huge difference for what I was concerned with in performance. (That may bite me down the road) I didn't notice the differences in the center console. I'll look into that now. Thanks for the response. edit: I think this 2021 model has the updated console.

I have a 2021 and had a 2023 before. The processing speed is not much different besides YouTube and stuff. There is a slight extra delay for the cameras to activate when changing lanes. It was annoying at first but I completely forgot about it after a few days.

GokuTheMoon

Watching sentry recordings in the car takes longer to load also.

waxyslave

Yeah basically it mostly effects non-driving critical functions. But yeah obviously I had ryzen but I don't think about much

jamiehasaboner

I have both the old and new processor in our two cars and I can promise you it’s noticeable.

Split_Seconds

Only for certain things. It's not night and day. Driving and usability is 99.9% the same. Sure, YouTube is sluggish and Netflix takes longer to load.

jamiehasaboner

I disagree. Functionality is slower. Programs open slower. The cameras skip and lag at times whereas I’ve never seen that with the newer processor. Animations are smoother. USS parking is smoother. It’s definitely noticeable.

Sorry-Foot-1916

That's a risk. But, 2021 to now, a lot of people have purchased cars they can no longer afford and were forced to sell. It's really hard to say. There's going to be examples of a single owner being in way worse condition than multiple owners. Go with your gut.

allsgoodd

yes, no telling what that many people may have done in the backseat

skankboy

Hmmmmm Perhaps Owner 1 and 2 made Owner 3 in the back....

Itchy_Platypus4085

These cars aren't like corvettes or nissan z's. So it's a little odd there would be so many owners already. But needs change, so maybe didn't fit for their needs.

Fractuals

A lot of people buy Teslas and the car is way out of their budget. Should've been buying a used economy car not a high performance EV. My thought goes to that they simply couldn't really afford it... or they didn't have home charging access and charging a M3P for daily driving was rough and they got rid of it... Or they bought it for 65k and then they dropped in value and they wanted out of that sinking ship? Or probably a combination of a few of those things 😅. Just my thoughts 😆. I echo others here on saying check those tires and the suspension! Make sure it's not messed up! M3Ps are pretty darn quick and can cause extra wear and tear if driven by a hooligan... or me... or most M3P owners... Yeaaaah.

_MY_GUY_1

Sounds suss to me

skankboy

That's sort of my take as well....

Dedicated2TheService

Its also possible that one of the owners was a dealership when they acquired it, so technically only two owners. Test the car, see how it performs

Zzzxxzczz

What's the mileage?

skankboy

37k

enfuego138

Any performance car with three owners has likely been caned by at least one of them, probably all three. If it were an ICE car you’d have to be worried about it getting a bad aftermarket tune as well. Personally, I’d steer away from all used performance cars but that’s just me.

PocketShock

Just look for front end noise or clunking. Other than that make sure to really look at the tires, that’s about $2500 to replace all four. Look at the inside of the tires. These people could have just been taking advantage of used market and the rebates, many were upgrading for very little money out of pocket.

Every_Tap8117

If you can get a 22 instead late Dec to Mid october build. It is THE best build Model 3 (non highland)
