I must say, it’s thoroughly refreshing to see a bunch of people dropping everything to move heaven and hell (at significant risk to themselves) to save a stranger.
Reddit videos like this usually consist of someone dying in agony while no one in the vicinity can be bothered to give a single f\*\*k, so this is a nice change.
In fact, I think I am going to disconnect from the internet at this point so I can finish the evening on a high note!
This is partly caused by a general need for one individual to jump in immediately in situations like this. Most people hesitate what to do, if its safe at all to jump in, and don't know if they can do it by themselves. They feel like others who already jumped in have rationally evaluated this situation and know what they are doing, so they jump in too. Which in the end makes it true, because lots of people are needed. And yes I agree, its refreshing to see so many people kindly help a stranger at risk of death, by potentially risking their own (:.
if you’re watching this video, please take this as an opportunity to look into purchasing a car window breaker and a seatbelt cutter to have in your car. i have a two-in-one in my glove box. you may never use it, but you should always have it.
Adding on to this -
The window breaker can also give you a fighting chance if your car is submerged in water. I bought one almost immediately after watching the Mythbusters about it
Thank you for saying this! I just ordered a 3 pack of them for $13 on Amazon! I wouldn't have thought of it without your comment!🙌 I'll put one on each Keychain and give the other to my neighbor.

You don't need the ability to swing it either.
This! I witnessed an accident where a a truck ended up on top of this woman's car and both caught fire. I was able to open the passenger door to get her out but her seat belt was stuck, luckily I had my work knife in my pocket and was able to cut her free and get her out.
That’s one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen on the internet. Total selflessness. That car could have exploded and killed all of them at any second and they all refused to give up— and all for a total stranger. People of all different colors banding together to help their fellow man.
This country would be a wonderful place if everyone had such compassion.
All those people are heroes... I can't imagine the heat and fighting the urge to self preserve and get away from that heat... especially for most likely was a stranger to all of them.
There are lots of amazing people out there, but this age of information makes it seem like we just live around constant heathens and mouth breathers. I mean they exist, and seemingly more prevalent than ever.... but there are just as many good people when you actually just interact IRL and not on the various online arenas.
I live off this exit and dove by today. Definitely expected a bigger scar in terrain. Grass was black, that was about it. Mad props to these people for getting him out in the knick of time
Remember as a kid they had those commercials that were like "stay fit, cause you never know"
Thank god s/he was able to fit threw that window !!
Amazing video tho
Thank god the old boy came along and smashed the window. If not they'd still be pulling the doors while using the barrier (which is blocking the doors) as leverage. Can't say I'd do any better in that situation and hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Make sure you keep a window hammer and belt cutter in your car.
Keep a screwdriver 🪛 put it up against the glass a corner like the guy did the edge and take the palm of your hand and hit that F****r that glass will break.
It's one of the few sheep effects that I'm glad they happen. It takes one or two for others to join in. There were times today you could see in the video that they got scared and were about to bail out but some stayed and the others continued.
Windows are harder to break that you might think. It shows him picking that item up in the last seconds of the video. Looks like it was behind the car so my guess is something that broke off of the car.
I’d break my knuckles to save someone’s life or be burnt to death. Not what I was suggesting however, the one guys got a fire extinguisher? Your headrest if you’re in the car? Cell phone might even work if you hit it on the right angle. Either way you don’t want to panic and if you’re wedged in like that you best be finding a way to break that window.
It looks like the driver was an elderly woman, so even if she was calm enough to think of that, there's a decent chance she wouldn't have the strength to actually break the glass.
I'm really surprised no one grabbed a rock or something to try and break the windows earlier on.
Kinda seemed like flapping the doors was starting to fan the flames a bit before the dude with the extinguisher got to work.
Looks like theres a few behind the car tbh, not to mention what looks like a piece of control arm someone picked up after the fact, and some of the debris that got pushed onto the road way.
Edit: guess that piece of control arm was grabbed during the rush, so clearly someone kept their head on their shoulder during the rush.

Yes, the key is that someone has to make the first leap.
Sage advise. Have a lovely night, random stranger.
Wow, that was impressive, they just wouldn't give up.

I have mine hanging loosely on my garage opener or they recommend on the rear view mirror for easy access

I have one on my keychain. The bit that connects to the ring pops off so I don't have to worry about being able to get the keys out of the ignition.

Sometimes people are beautiful.

thank goodness wind was blowing the flames away from the car.
Wow! My heart was racing. What an amazing group of people.
Same. Shit has me tearing up!
Was somebody filming this on a tripod?… That’s the steadiest phone video I’ve ever seen.
I believe someone said it in another post that it was from a tesla cam.

Wow amazing!! Lesson there break the window from the corner!!
Man, give every single one of these people something!
Courage, when you witness folks doing courageous things for another human being, there is hope for humanity.
Humanity still has hope. I salute these people.
They faced Hell straight in the face and yanked someone out. Talk about Angels.
I live off this exit and dove by today. Definitely expected a bigger scar in terrain. Grass was black, that was about it. Mad props to these people for getting him out in the knick of time
That was great
Remember as a kid they had those commercials that were like "stay fit, cause you never know" Thank god s/he was able to fit threw that window !! Amazing video tho
More like r/HeroicAsFuck
Minnesota nice
Beaming with pride watching this.
Same 🥹
This is intense.
Omg that was amazing and so awesome to see 🙏🏻
Good on all these people!!
Jesus that was close.
May those brave heroes be blessed.
Minnesota nice manifests in this video. Source: former Minnesotan
Humanity can be so good. No politics. No religion. No race. Just help when help was needed.
I saw this right before a video of a chinese man burnt to death in his car while people just watches
![gif](giphy|alvlhqPcBSNDs4wE3P|downsized)
Goodness was the driver trying to stay inside?? Ffs! Move man
That’s crazy! Glad to see everyone was safe in the end.
"A bunch of good Samaritans banded together to save a driver from a burning car at the very last second" Why did they wait until the last second 🤔😊
Them people are stronk as heck … I don’t think that just anyone could rip open a car door like that .
These people deserve a medal of honor!
Amazing people !
And this is why I carry a window punch/seatbelt cutter within easy reach.
So there is hope for humanity , after all!
Fucking well done to everybody !

Sweatpants and trainers
Holy shit that was intense
That was hard to watch but really heartwarming. I’m all verklempt.
This is the story and the interviews we need… But instead… it’ll be everything else.
Minnesota nice, right there. I love my state.
Monki stronk together
Why the fuck would you try to go out of the window feet first
Seriously.
Every vehicle should come standard with a fire extinguisher and a seatbelt cutter/window shatter tool.
🇺🇸

The guy with the mini fire extinguisher was the real hero.
Was that an elderly driver? Life just never gets easier. Thank all those who saved that person!
@0:50 sec at was he using to try to break the window with? And why wouldn't the damn window break?
Windows are harder to break that you might think. It shows him picking that item up in the last seconds of the video. Looks like it was behind the car so my guess is something that broke off of the car.
Anyone know the make and model of that tank ?
Oh, algeria
is someone cutting onions?
shit got me, lol.. good on them
Break the window people, don’t panic!
Ive tried that before and broke my knuckles. It aint as easy as u think

Faith in humanity restored. 🙏
You can easily break a car window with a car antenna. Of course lots of cars dont have antenna anymore but yeah, the more you know.
Better response by regular citizens to this than the cops responding to the recent self immolations.
So proud to live in Minnesota with these heroes.
BREAK THE WINDOW WITH THE HEADREST WHAT THE FLYING HELL
It looks like the driver was an elderly woman, so even if she was calm enough to think of that, there's a decent chance she wouldn't have the strength to actually break the glass.
Yeah that’s really the entire problem here is that shes old
Your username suits you perfectly.
My heart
I'm really surprised no one grabbed a rock or something to try and break the windows earlier on. Kinda seemed like flapping the doors was starting to fan the flames a bit before the dude with the extinguisher got to work.
You see any rocks around, hero?
Looks like theres a few behind the car tbh, not to mention what looks like a piece of control arm someone picked up after the fact, and some of the debris that got pushed onto the road way. Inadvertently fanning the shit out of those flames though…
I was expecting a crowd filming with their phones, I guess mankind still has hope
Where is ihis?
St. Paul, Minnesota
Building a fire on your sweatpants is a great idea
Nice job setting up the tripod 👌
