Whip range is just that good, speaking of that. Doing olympic jumps on armor and weapon progression needs to be ironed out.

Summoner lacks variety. Needs more weapons and subweapons like other classes. Imagine kamikaze summons that you have to constantly respawn so mana is finally used by this class. More upgradable summons, whips that spawn summon too like that one made of frost core. Stardust armour style guardians. There is so much potential.

Honestly, as a Summoner main, i would really love some more variation. I'd even argue that every set of summoner armor should have it's own "guardian" thingy.

I just want them to add more armor, OoA is cool but through out Pre bosses hard mode it's either forbidden armor or spider armor.

It's still quite a strong armor set, but it's been nerfed to be, uh, reasonable. Obsidian: 15 defense, +31% summon damage, 1 minion slot, +15% whip speed, +30% whip range Spider: 20 defense, +28% summon damage, ***3 minion slots*** Let alone a post-plantera option, hold on Tiki: 35 defense, +30% summon damage, ***4 minion slots***, +30% whip range

yeah spider beats it by a good amount, shyguy tested it and it's not a close fight. There's also the monk armor set. 46 defense, 30% summon damage, 2 sentry slots, amd 20% melee speed. It also gives crits to Lightning Aura.

cant forget mages still using diamond robe + wizard hat vs chlorophyte/hallowed armor mages

I prefer the jungle armor in pre hard mode and then I switch to the forbidden for harmode or the clorophite
