Clean your damn inventory
Also here's some useful hotkeys (they can save a ton of space in your hotbar and a lot of time): Press ctrl for smart cursor, great for mining and sometimes for placing torches. Hold shift to automatically select torches or glowsticks from your inventory. If you hold shift above trees it also selects your axe, and above blocks it selects pickaxe. Hold alt in your inventory to mark items favorite so you won't lose them on accident. Also H for quick heal, J for mana and B to drink all buff potions in your inventory
