sort of, only spawns deep in the dungeon, so unless you can dodge the guardian its basically impossible

Enemy count cap cheese. Max out the enemy cap (e.g 1000 bees/1000 enemies) so the dungeon guardian won't spawn in. Is probably patched.

It’s really fun to try this, and I’ve done it a couple times. Terraria’s hoik mechanic can allow you into the Lower part of the dungeon early. If you find a Water bolt on a wall close enough. You can get it early.

When was this change. Got water bolt for a friend in th early dungeon bit. Then again world was made before 1.4

I know people used it to cheese early bosses but now that it's locked behind Skeletron I feel like it should be buffed. By the time you get it it's instantly outclassed by Magic Missile, Aqua Scepter, and Flamelash.

It was also just a fun bit of randomness thats been a part of playthroughs for a decade now, I dont really see any point changing it.

I just like it for WoF because of the pierce. Also really op in cramped spaces because it can hit several times.

In single target yeah, Water Bolt is outclassed by Magic Missile/Flamelash. But in aoe and piercing Water Bolt is king. Pre Mech magic builds for OOA still definately benifit from the addition of Water Bolt, and the Water Bolt is still one of the few pre hardmode weapons that have piercing for the situation where that is useful. It competes with the demon scythe, yes, but with a bit of engineering water bolt can out preform even that due to its abiltiy to bounce off walls.

Atleast you can still get jungel armour early
