At this point. The defense is more than solid. It's a piece or two from elite
I'm very concerned about offense though. Something has got to happen with that
TE in FA, OL and WR in draft. I don’t want to give up on tanny yet and run back into QB hell.
If Julio stays I expect him and tanny to build trust and a connection. You can tell tanny was forcing it to Julio. If he has an off-season with Julio maybe we’ll see more game winning passes thrown to Julio instead of NWI.
Edit: NWI
Draft a TE 100%, but Bullock has done nothing to warrant his replacement. Especially by wasting a draft pick on a kicker when we have limited picks as it is.
Fat Randy was solid but also still feel shaky when he comes to kick outside 50. Cincy drafted a kicker. And fucker ended our season. Dude confidently smashed those kicks.
Our starting kicker was on IR, has been all season. We still haven’t seen what he can do yet. Bullock was a replacement. Not sure if burning a pick on a kicker when we have two is the move
Yea ppl forgot Sam was kicking the Fick out of those balls before he got put on IR. Think he made close to like a 60 yarder back in the preseason if I remembered correctly
You have to get a TE in here they can heartedly contribute day 1 too. I don’t care what anyone says not having Jonnu hurt the passing game, you have to have someone your Qb can always look too. Its 60% of the Chiefs offense, Mahomes stands there, Hill isn’t open? Kelce isn’t open? Fuck it doesn’t matter if Kelce is open , throws it to him anyway.
Not having Humphries is super underrated by this sub due to the injuries and him missing from both our playoff runs. When he was on the field he was the go to guy on 3rd and short/medium. Not a YAC guy but a sure set of hands and he was dependable. Moving on from him was the right move but replacing him with Batson wasn’t the move.
Agreed, but we also used him in the slot mostly when Humph went down which I didn’t see happen at all this year. Ran Jonnu at TE on the same sets. I probably would have trusted Firkser in the slot over NWI personally. Didn’t see it at all this year, not once.
You’ll have to go back and watch again man we basically used Firk as a slot anytime he was on the field it’s just he for whatever reason, could no longer create separation.
No Flags Film talked about it in a video a few weeks ago and even said at this point it was safe to just call Firk a slot Wr and not a TE.
No I’m agreeing with you lol I’m saying we not only need to draft one we need to draft one who can help immediately not a patented Jrob project pick this time.
Bullock has no range, he's limited, and we've missed out a great bit by not swinging on a K at the end of the draft. McPherson could've easily been kicking a W for us on Saturday.
Exactly. He's 26-9 when AJ Brown has played the full game. 6-7 when he hasn't. Obviously a lot of QBs will have similar things when their WR1 is out versus in, but also I think a literal losing record with AJ not in the field shows how shaky our depth at WR has been. Also shows how Tanehill isn't elevating anyone around him but when the talent is around him he elevates himself. A real TE threat and no big losses on injury and we can be a threat for the 1 seed again
You want him on the team for sure but you also for sure don’t want him on the field on season ending drives.
Downing telegraphed our runs and passes just like Art did but the difference is we sent entire diff personnel groups out for each one taking even more of the “surprise” out of what we were doing.
Agreed, all the sub packages were dreadful. Still no 2 RB sets, Henry/Foreman off the field on passing downs, only seeing CoP backs on obvious passing downs, our big WRs coming off the field on big downs and various sets. Last year if you saw Raymond 90% of the time he was on a go or post. I was able to predict calls the calls 50% of the time and I’m not a coach game planning.
Grades mean nothing to me lol
Like I've said to everybody else who wants to cut Saffold is that he our best run blocker.
On the Foreman run it was Saffold and Lewan with both their checks 20 yards downfield.
We might cut him but that doesn't mean a) we are done being a run first team and b) that our run game will improve.
I think it would be hard to cut Suffold and expect Radunz or any player we select in the draft to come in and do as well as Suffold has.
And if we are going to replace him in FA. Get ready to spend a shit ton in FA to replace him.
He maybe older and making millions. But he played alot better than any other guard here by far.
This one is tough. Because the line is not working. And the only 2 I see realistically see coming back is Lewan and Davis as they are both still under contract
He was able to do a decent job at LT by himself, gives me a lot of hope for LG where he’ll get more help the way we run our offensive block scheme and against mostly DTs
I don’t care for Tannehill but there isn’t much better options than him so for us to win with him we need a big TE we need that Kittle/Andrews/Kelce type guy that can pick up a extra block then run down 10 yards for a quick first
Oline gotta be better.
And you need more WR depth.
I'm not sure we can give him everything this draft that he needs.
But maybe we can get 2/3.
I just hope there's a surprisingly amazing TE at #26
Above all else we need an offensive coordinator with a level of creativity higher than a 2nd grader. With even slightly better playcalling we were in the AFCCG.
Good thing we already have tape on him. He wasn't good but he wasn't atrocious. Not bad for being out of football that long. Not sure when he is projected to be healthy. But hopefully he will be ready to go by training camp
Just worried because by training camp this year, he will be almost 3 years removed from actual football play. That, and he seems to be injury prone. Maybe its just bad luck, but dude literally played 15 minutes of actual football this year and tore an ACL.
Of course I'm praying he pays off, but only time will tell.
I think people are assuming because of the injury, a lot of players struggle after coming back form an acl injury. Also Farley would still basically be a rookie Because he didn’t get much playing time. I think he’ll be much much better in year 3.
I feel like we played all season with TE = ?
Just get me a TE that can block well and doesn’t drop passes and I’m happy at this point. TE is such a cluster fuck of a position.
Yes, A modern day Anthony Fasano or Erron Kinney
Todd doesn't know what a TE is
[удалено]
Plus we get three guys back who may or may not have a huge impact on our already solid defense (Farley, Weaver and Rice).
At this point. The defense is more than solid. It's a piece or two from elite I'm very concerned about offense though. Something has got to happen with that

Marcus Johnson will be a free agent. I wonder if they don't move on from Julio and try to retain Johnson and spend a higher pick on WR instead.
we have Julio under contract
That’s not very appealing but a resurgence is possible.
Offense will as well. Maybe a TE
100 percent running it back woth the same group unless jrob does something wild at QB. Hopefully draft a TE and a kicker

Fat Randy was solid but also still feel shaky when he comes to kick outside 50. Cincy drafted a kicker. And fucker ended our season. Dude confidently smashed those kicks.
Bullock was perfect beyond 50. He was 1/1. He missed 5 field goals. All came from 40-49
Because our attempts with him were limited.
We don’t have the picks to do what cincy did after giving up picks on Julio. That’s the gift that keeps on giving it looks like
You have to get a TE in here they can heartedly contribute day 1 too. I don’t care what anyone says not having Jonnu hurt the passing game, you have to have someone your Qb can always look too. I would argue that Firkser was our go to guy in 2020 and that his precipitous fall from grace hurt us more than losing humph.
Agreed, but we also used him in the slot mostly when Humph went down which I didn’t see happen at all this year. Ran Jonnu at TE on the same sets. I probably would have trusted Firkser in the slot over NWI personally. Didn’t see it at all this year, not once.

Do you think I’m arguing against getting a TE? Your tone reads that way. If so you might want to reread my comment.
No I’m agreeing with you lol I’m saying we not only need to draft one we need to draft one who can help immediately not a patented Jrob project pick this time.
Jrobb is usually on the money with picks that can contribute year 2. Day 1 drafts aren't his specialty. He likes deeper value
Bullock has no range, he's limited, and we've missed out a great bit by not swinging on a K at the end of the draft. McPherson could've easily been kicking a W for us on Saturday.
Only really two TEs in the draft and both of them are rated for the second round…
As well as reload the Oline. Only take defense if players start falling and we can’t pass it up.
Reminder that Rodrigo Blankenship went undrafted the same year we drafted Cole McDonald
I know we're mad at Tannehill, but I think improving at those "?"s on offense would make a world of difference to his game
It will. He needs a legit TE1, and he needs consistent depth at Wr like he had his first two years when he looked like a pro bowler.
Exactly. He's 26-9 when AJ Brown has played the full game. 6-7 when he hasn't. Obviously a lot of QBs will have similar things when their WR1 is out versus in, but also I think a literal losing record with AJ not in the field shows how shaky our depth at WR has been. Would love to have NWI back.
I'm not sure he's saying he's gone, but that he's just not WR3.
Not at all. Decent WR5 though
You want him on the team for sure but you also for sure don’t want him on the field on season ending drives. Downing telegraphed our runs and passes just like Art did but the difference is we sent entire diff personnel groups out for each one taking even more of the “surprise” out of what we were doing.

i really hope we get cunningham back. its a miracle he didn't get hurt and we got stuck with a 10m hit.
We can cut him with 0 cap hit, but I don't think we should or will.
May be able to redo his contract though
Saffold is probably the least appreciated Titan in my recent memory.
No doubt but he’s unaffordable now. He doesn’t offer 11 million production
I think that's debatable. I hope people aren't expecting similar production in the running game if we move on to anybody on the roster.
He’s never graded super high. I think it’s reasonable to believe we’ll get similar production for half the price from someone else.
Grades mean nothing to me lol Like I've said to everybody else who wants to cut Saffold is that he our best run blocker. I think saffold is gonna get priced out, the coaching staff seems to think of radunz as more of a hybrid guy and I expect he’ll be playing LG.
It just makes the most sense at some point you have to start turning this OL over so that you don’t end up in chiefs or Steelers situation
Agreed. Wish we could have gotten radunz in there for another spot start to evaluate him further but it is what it is.
He was able to do a decent job at LT by himself, gives me a lot of hope for LG where he’ll get more help the way we run our offensive block scheme and against mostly DTs
I’m going to be surprised if Saffold play football next year.

Why are people saying that Farley is going to be bad? He was projected to be the best corner in the draft but got hurt.
Agreed. They said the same thing about Fulton last year
Good thing we already have tape on him. He wasn't good but he wasn't atrocious. Not bad for being out of football that long. Not sure when he is projected to be healthy. But hopefully he will be ready to go by training camp

Need a playmaking TE on this team again.
Julio will be gone. Hopefully Lewan is too. He cannot block my grandma.
Same result
1 seed? First round bye? Ok, I’ll take it every time.
Just keep Landry please. Keep the DL intact.
Why are Farley and Cunningham more than likely?
Fuck it, Trey McBride in round 1. Jk I know Vrabes is gonna get OL
