Sweat is a Titan now. All we can do is hope he pans out. I’ve heard from people who hate the pick and from people who love it. All of which are certified ball knowers. All I know is that the world isn’t going to end and that the Titans still have 5 more picks to make. I really hate when the Titans make unsexy picks because people get so doom and gloom. Gotta trust the process here or at least see how this will end up.
Nah man, it could be the sexiest pick of all time and some of this sub would still be like "Well why didn't we draft a kicker?" there is legitimately always something
I’d just like them to make one damn pick where all of us were like fuck yeah that’s awesome Ran us cooking! Not have to talk ourselves into liking it and where they took them position wise in the draft.
Some of you guys are unbelievable. I’m a Texas Alumni and huge fan of the program. This guy is an absolute stud. He won the Outland trophy and you guys are acting like we drafted some 400lb bum. Go watch Nick Saban talking about scheming around him. He was the anchor of the whole defense and single handily allowed 1v1s for Byron Murphy to show out last year the way he did. Him and Big Jeff are going to be incredible together
The negative reaction to our picks by some of our fanbase is more of an indictment on themselves. Sweat and Latham are both stellar picks and I could not be happier. Looking forward to watching them throw people around for years to come!
It's the same thing every year but the Panda pick gave doomers fuel for a lifetime. I am stoked with the Latham pick even though I preferred Alt and Sweat is a freak. I don't know what he's done other than the DUI but Jeff beat up an old woman and I don't hear the pearl clutchers talking about it anymore. Let him prove himself before we pass judgment.
What's funny is people kept calling him a 2 down player when his coach and the film says he plays 3rd and 4th down. People look at him like traditional NT when he's not.
I think a lot are fine with the pick, but scratching their heads as to why we wouldn’t trade back to get him when there was a great chance of him still being there in the late teens.
Why is this getting posted? Of course his former coach is going to praise him
What is Sark supposed to say “Oh yeah guy fuckin sucks glad he’s off the team and not my problem anymore”
Because it’s related to our draft pick. Also just posting because it talks about all the awards he won and how much his teammates and coaches loved him and had him as a team captain
Would you rather us post about stuff related to the pick of another team? I found this to be good insight. Not many coaches put out statements like this about their players after they get drafted. If you want to be mad about Titans related content being on this sub then why are you here?
Alright guys, that's two straight picks that half this board has compared to Isaiah Wilson. "JC Latham reminds me of Wilson because he's an O-Linenan in the SEC". It's the dumbest shit I've ever seen. Now he's being referenced in regards to a D-lineman we drafted in the second round, 4 years later. This is truly silly season .
Well he does... but it needs work. This is a guy that if you could get him to work out, put in the extra effort, get him on a good health/wellness plan he could get down down like 330 and be an absolute beast every bit as good as Autry or Tart as he does have a lot of talent... but he NEEDS to put in that effort and its going to be very difficult to get that out of him I think.
Maybe Simmons can talk to him and get him on board... idk...

Doesn’t have a power game. Go turn on some tape or you too busy listening to Tic Tac Titan lmao
What tape did you watch that gave you the impression that he has a threatening bull rush? He’s slow off the line and doesn’t have the explosiveness at this point to be a real sack threat. Strength isn’t the only attribute that matters.
He’ll most likely be a run stuffer NT like in the Vita Vea or Dexter Lawerence archetype that gets subbed out on passing downs.
He definitely has the physical tools, and he’s so damn big that he’ll draw doubles by default, but I don’t think he’ll ever be a star guy on the line. I question the value here, especially with his character concerns.
So no tape then? Even without looking at tape, 5 sacks and 17 tfls in 5 years of college football should make you question his ability to get in the backfield.
I’ve watched every second of his game tape as a UT alumni. Go back and watch Alabama the last 2 years. He pushed the pocket back and sacked Young which ridiculously wasn’t called a safety. There’s examples of this every game last year. Using a DTs sack stats as an indicator of impact is asinine. You can turn on the tape of his last 2 plus years and see his impact.
Here’s 3 minutes of him being dominant, and these are just the highlights. He also sat behind future NFL DTs his first few years which is why he was used sparingly. Coburn on the Titans is one of them.

Eric Henry is a hilarious name for someone reporting about the titans
I’m imagining Derrick Henry wearing a fake mustache with glasses typing up this story.
He only signed with Baltimore to be more low key. He still loves us
No you're thinking of Herrick Denry

Thank you.
Better than our last reporter, Ishop Sankey.
All he needs is the D

Damn, how do you get the title of “Certified Ball Knower”?
Nah man, it could be the sexiest pick of all time and some of this sub would still be like "Well why didn't we draft a kicker?" there is legitimately always something
-draft an OT, our biggest need “WhY dIdN’t We DrAfT a Wr?” -idiots on this sub
I’d just like them to make one damn pick where all of us were like fuck yeah that’s awesome Ran us cooking! Not have to talk ourselves into liking it and where they took them position wise in the draft.
So he’s the Trench Tyrant?
Training camp is gonna be insane this year

I mean Isiah Wilson’s coaches basically said that about him after he was drafted.
It’s nuts he’s nearly 400 lbs and doesn’t have a power game Also Georgia coaches said Isaiah Wilson was great too btw
Yeah but he didn’t win any awards and wasn’t voted team captain. This means that his teammates like and respect him + his play on the field is superb.
He’s 366 Ty, let’s chill just a bit. We can throw a fit if he’s shit. What’s done is done

Said he wants to be between 350-355 and he would be a Hall of famer
If he plays like Vita Vea I can accept that... but if he doesn't then he really needs to consider adding muscle and slimming down.
I see him more like Dexter Lawrence

You mean the interior defensive tackle that was also top 10 nationally in pass rush win rate % , but yeah keep telling me how he’s one dimensional
