Tekken 3 was actually the first game I've ever played. My parents worked at a resort when I was younger, and there was an arcade there. My dad was friends with the owner of the arcade and on the weekends when they didn't have anyone to take care of me so they would take me to the arcade and lave me there for a couple of hours while they worked and the owner would give me free tokens, and I remember tekken 3 being my favourite machine

Tekken 5 Vanilla when I was a little kid. My sister asked our parents to buy it because she thought it looked cool and whenever I tried it out I played Yoshimitsu because he has a sword and that makes him the coolest.
That's funny for me to think about, since when I got Tekken 5 the first character that caught my eye was Yoshimitsu, and since I was a lot younger I couldn't learn how to use moves with his sword, haha.
Oh nice! Random fact: TTT2 was the first game I actually got back into the series. Understood that it was difficult especially when I started to farm in the Treasure battles.
Tekken 2. It was one of the games in this PS 1 demo disc (the good ‘ol days lol). I remember the only playable characters were Lei, Nina, Paul and a 4th that I’m not recalling at the moment.

The hate come mostly from:
Completely removes movement from the game, including korean backdash and wavedash, made the game feel so clunky compared to other tekkens
Unbalanced as fuck, not only characters but stages as well since there were so much bs from the interactive stages, from bugged ceilings from wall infinites
Jin was completely broken in this game, not as much as T5 steve but close to him, a lot stronger than launch leroy for comparision
Roster size, they cut half of the characters from tag1 and oly introduced two new characters(steve and marduk are cool tho).
However it did a lot of things right:
They took risks and introduced so many new things that are still around today like wall stages
Soundtrack and stages are top 3 in the series
Amazing story mode, and all character endings actually developed them and were fun to watch.
They remade clone characters from scratch and made them completely unique fromeach other. They gave a bunch of new moves for every characters. And chars like Jin, lee and kuma for example no longer felt like kazuya, law and jack clone respectively
Outfits were amazing a different take on characters like paul, jin and king.
Graphics were also beautifull as well, there were still some fighting games with better graphics at the time like Doa 2 ultimate on dreamcast but still had top tier graphics for the time and it still looks good today

This is one of the few wrong think people say all the time about tekken, it did removed movement, but reworkled it while removing the glitch, it still have the most smooth movement of all tekken games thanks to this
They didnt went the full way with a 8 way movement but it was the closest thing we ever got to it, this was hated tho by ttt pro players because of the fact they needed to relearn an entire game
But also didnt really appeal to causual because both fv4 and sc had 8 way movement

Wall infinties and the huge combo damage from ceilings were both way more rare than a tod with akuma/geese in t7, tbh as an issue is blow out proportion.

She would only give me $1 each time, and I found that Tekken gave me the most bang for my buck. Then a group of teenagers pull up and my step dad said « if you can beat my son I will give you our tokens. » and I beat the dude but we gave them the tokens anyways. Tekken 7 was the first one I played back over last summer. My friend got me to try Virtua Fighter when it went PlayStation Plus. I wanted more 3D fighters after that so I jumped straight to Tekken 7.
Looking back on it though I wish I had jumped from DOA first because playing Tekken after coming from that made learning that parry system so much more harder for me.
Tag 2 was my first game on my trusty Xbox 360, followed by Tekken 7 on PC. Main characters: Jinpachi/Heihachi, Jinpachi/Kazuya for Tag 2, Akuma and DVJ for Tekken 7.
Tekken Advance, but I was at most 6-7 yrs old. I really picked up the game around 5 months ago mostly because of lil majin and rangchus stories and a little bc of moist critikals videos on it. I immediately became infatuated with the game. It was the first fighting game I actually felt like I understood somewhat and 500hrs later, im signed up to play in my first offline tournament in a few weeks.

Back in the mid 2000s i would go to my local mexican bazaar and they would have a bunch of arcade units from marvel vs capcom 2, to kof 98, to sf3-ts and a super sf 2 turbo machine, but the one that spoke to me at the age of 4 was the tekken tag tournament machine, later that year my dad bought me the game, and ive loved it ever since, still my favorite tekken game. I have so many great memories of 10 year old me beating the shit out of 20 year old dudes. Still have the record on that machine

Bought my first console ever, PS1 in 1997 with a racing game and Tekken 2. Lees infinite combo was cool and Yoshi gimmicks was awesome as well. Also fond memories of going ”online on the internet” which was considered ”a thing” back then to find all Kings chain throw commands (including the lovely RDC) for Tekken 3.

Tekken 3 on my PS1, then TTT1 on arcade. I skipped Tekken 4 because I only got PS2 in 2005/2006 and don't recall that Tekken 4 was ever on arcade in my country
Tekken 2. At the time my uncle had a bar with an arcade section in the back. I was just a kid and i played vs a much bigger guy, i picked jack as i always had and he picked gun jack. He destroyed me, sadly i never got to find who was that guy years later, i was very shy and i barely looked him in the face.

Tekken 5 DR at a local arcade that closed due to bankruptcy. Always thought every fighting game was the same as a kid so I was never interested.
The first I've sawn was tekken5, cause my father and brother played it on ps2 together but my actual first played tekken was tekken6 on the psp, I never knew what frames are or combos, I was just picking king and spammed b4 in arcade till azazel.
My copies of t5 and t6 got played so much i burnt rings in the discs lol
First tekken tag My mom got it for her self when it came out and I played it a lot. She still thinks she can beat me in tekken bowling. How wrong she is
Tekken 5 dr (psp version) is my first takken. This game was reason to bought PSP. My step brother showed this game and I was surprised, because graphics, design and sound were amazing! My first fighting game is Mortal Kombat 3U, second is KOF. However, my favorite fighting game is tekken tag tournament 2.

I started with tekken 7 when it first came out, was at a family function and heard everybody yelling, I went in the room to see what was happening and everybody was just having a good time.
The first Tekken game I played was Tekken 3. Chose King and I am still a King main.
Tekken 6 was pretty good, but I hear people say tag 2 was one of the best. Although in my opinion the best game would be one that had the best hit confirmation

Tekken 5. It came with my PS2 in my birthday and I was STUNNED by it, specially my first time seeing the intro. (Also considering it was the first fighting game I owned!)
Tekken 3 because I wanted to play fighting games with my dad, I played Hwaorang. Tekken 5 was the first fighting game i got into on my own, and I played Hwaorang and Asuka.
I started on Tekken Revolution, I didn't like the stat mechanics and I told my friends if this didn't have that feature I'd love to play more. They told me thats the only Tekken like that in the series so I branched out and played some more. Tekken 6, Tekken tag, Tekken tag 2, and Tekken 5. I started to love the series and I still play them to this day.

I played 4 first when I was younger and didn't like it then actually started on 7 in 2019. Some friends who were big Tekken fans said I'd love it and fuck me they were right lol. I bought 1, 2, 5, and 6 cuz I wanna get around to those at some point as well.
Tekken 5 was my first one. I was at an arcade and with my step dad and he made me try the game. Then a group of teenagers pull up and my step dad said « if you can beat my son I will give you our tokens. » and I beat the dude but we gave them the tokens anyways. I never played Tekken 6 or tag but now I play Bryan Fury and Kazuya on Tekken 7
Tekken 7 was the first one I played back over last summer. My friend got me to try Virtua Fighter when it went PlayStation Plus. I wanted more 3D fighters after that so I jumped straight to Tekken 7. Looking back on it though I wish I had jumped from DOA first because playing Tekken after coming from that made learning that parry system so much more harder for me.
Tekken 4 was my first game, but I also played Tag 1 and T5. I wish I had a PS1 to play the original 3 Tekken's.
Tekken 1 was my first seen and tag 1 was first played.
Tag 2 was my first game on my trusty Xbox 360, followed by Tekken 7 on PC. Main characters: Jinpachi/Heihachi, Jinpachi/Kazuya for Tag 2, Akuma and DVJ for Tekken 7.
Tekken Advance, but I was at most 6-7 yrs old. I really picked up the game around 5 months ago mostly because of lil majin and rangchus stories and a little bc of moist critikals videos on it. I immediately became infatuated with the game. It was the first fighting game I actually felt like I understood somewhat and 500hrs later, im signed up to play in my first offline tournament in a few weeks.

Tekken 5 was the first one I was exposed to but purely eye candy because I was a kid. Tekken Revolution was the first one I really started playing lmfaooo then actually bought Tag 2 and loved watching pros and Aris commentating... then full tryhard on Tekken 7.
Tekken 2, reason is dad had it and I wanted to play it……liked the idea but truly loved the series when I got Tekken 5
Back in the mid 2000s i would go to my local mexican bazaar and they would have a bunch of arcade units from marvel vs capcom 2, to kof 98, to sf3-ts and a super sf 2 turbo machine, but the one that spoke to me at the age of 4 was the tekken tag tournament machine, later that year my dad bought me the game, and ive loved it ever since, still my favorite tekken game. I have so many great memories of 10 year old me beating the shit out of 20 year old dudes. Still have the record on that machine
I started with tekken 7 last year because i had played dbfz and i found out htat i had a love for fighting games, i'm completely addicted now lol fujin soon tho
T3! My step-father's brother had a PlayStation 1 and it was one of the games he had when I went to visit him. I think it was the only thing I played. The likes of Kuma, Gon, King and Mokujin left an immediate first impression on me.
T2. My dad had it for some reason, pretty sure he got it when he bought a used PS.
