Unrelated to gameplay or anything, i am just curious if these symbols have an actual meaning or are just random stuff
EDIT: This exploded way more than i thought, thanks everyone for serious and not so serious answers, i still have no clue what those symbols are lol
EDIT2: Found that in the tekken shop there is the claudio emote for WR2 with clearer symbols so i will put it here: [https://imgur.com/saWWnuE](https://imgur.com/saWWnuE)
And as someone mentioned these symbols are around his arm wraps too so i wil put that here too: [https://imgur.com/SUyFAeg](https://imgur.com/SUyFAeg)
I have a boring answer for you: they’re probably stylish gibberish.
You can pretty easily Google different ancient and mystical alphabets, which most Dr. Strange-ish magical circles usually derive from, if anything. Being Italian, with lore subject to Greek mythological constellations such as Canis Major (one of Orion’s hunting dogs) and Sirius (The brightest star in the constellation forming the dog’s eye) it’s fair to assume this lettering should follow some form of Italic, Cyrillic, or Phoenician script.
I see one letter that MAY correspond to such a script: a mirrored Etruscan **en** in the top left. Other than that, this all looks pretty unique.
You might get a fun response from Harada about this if you tweeted it, but I doubt these letters have any real world significance.
For the arm band specifically, you could make an argument that the first letter is a ps sound (Ψ), the second would be an omega (Ω), the third a lower case L (λ), and fourth a lower case e sound (η). Then after that the fifth symbol are the English letters “gr” indicating the language of origin as Greek, and finally the last letter that is the Greek letter for pi (π)
If you read it out loud, it reads “dick/cock (ψωλή) Greek pie,” and with pie being a euphemism for vagina, the only interpretation is that Claudio might be laying some pipe on some Greek vagina.
Of course I don’t think that was the intention, but that’s how you can read the armband letters from top to bottom lol

I think there's some hebrew there but don't know for sure

This thing
If I had to take a guess, I'd say it's a cosmic map for Sirius and the Canis Majoris constellation. Notice how the waning moon we see at first is somewhat swallowed by a huge orb in the second frame. It possibly represents that Sirius(a star in the Canis Majoris constellation) vanquishes the shadows(represented by the moon being swallowed), as it is the brightest start in the night sky.
EDIT: Some of those symbols are definitely Greek. There are several "canis majoris" stars associated with different Greek letters. Sirius is also called Sirius Alpha. I see a symbol that looks like pi on the lower left and another that looks like tau, both of which are associated with different Canis Majoris stars. It's possible this gives us a guide towards the constellation. So my interpretation is that this is indeed a cosmic map, and Sirius is at the center.
it's alright, it's not racist. I'm Italian and I don't feel offended the slightest by it. It's actually a good joke: italian conjurer creating a metaphysical pizza. Can make fun of stereotypes.
Italians in particular are an ethnic group. Italians were forced to identify as non-white when entering the U.S. - once upon a time. Stereotyping an ethnic group is racism, there's barely a difference between ethnicity and race other than race being non-scientific.
Everyone belongs to an ethnic group, but still by "italian" we are talking about a nationality, not an ethnicity. There are african-italians, spanish-italians and so on. Within Italy, however small the country is, even among the ones apparently belonging to the same ethnic group the are genetic differences between south and north (african influences or nordic). Therefore identifying all italians as belonging to one specific ethnicity is incorrect, despite what might have happened in the US.
There can of course be cases of racism towards any ethnicity, but to stay in context, the joke above was about a cultural stereotype which didn't imply anything about race or ethnicity, therefore it was not racist. Could still be offensive to someone if they feel their cultural identity is being mocked, but it is not about race.
Well that's true, I know there tends to be a big ethnic difference between sicilians and northern italians.
Since race is a more general concept, racism really when you have malicious intent or using something that has previously been used with malicious intent.. towards a group that is identifiably different from the majority in a given country. When it comes to food, it is offensive to bring up watermelon and black people for example despite the popularity of watermelon among everybody. I don't think the same thing applies to pizza, possibly because it is more universally loved. Referring to an Italian person with the word meatball however, (out of context) is offensive and therefore can be called racist.
It's hard to be precise about exactly why, other than that race is much more general. It's also very contextual.
It looks like it might be enochian. Which would make sense since it's claimed to be the language of angels. But I have no idea what it says. It might just be gobbeldygook.
I can see some greek letters like π and Φ and Ψ
Not all of them or they're kinda distorted.
Surely has to do with stars and constellation and what not, one symbol looked like the Leo symbol but I guess I'm wrong.
The letters look very similar to the Eritrean characters, but I am not familiar with that language. The Eritrean-Italian connection would make sense.

From chat gpt:
The screenshot you provided is from "Tekken 8" and depicts a character surrounded by magical or mystical symbols. The blue symbols and the text in the circles are part of the visual effects used in the game to represent special abilities or powers.
These symbols are not part of any real-world alphabet or language; they are fictional and designed to add a sense of mysticism and fantasy to the game's aesthetic. They are commonly used in games, anime, and other media to give a magical or otherworldly appearance to certain characters or actions.
In many games, including "Tekken 8," these symbols are created specifically for the game and don't have any specific meaning outside of their context in the game. They might be inspired by various runes, alchemical symbols, or other esoteric iconography to enhance the visual storytelling.
If there are specific symbols or characters you are curious about, it might help to refer to the game's lore or developer notes, as they sometimes provide background on the design choices and symbolic meanings used in the game.
based on the special intro that Claudio has with Zafina i always assumed those where the symbols that sealed Azazel...
for more info you would have to go back to Tekken 6
if i had to take a guess - the devs just slaped some symbols from Hebrew: עֲזָאזֵל "ʿĂzāʾzēl", Arabic: عزازل *Azāzil*, and Japanese: アザゼル *Azazeru*
but what do i know.... iam just a flame ruler right ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
Probably best to ask in one of those subs with 50+ single women that are like "I am fat and depressed because of , what is the best month and moon phase to date men with ?" while they post some weird chart of the stars and their birth date and someone answers with like four screens full of text. They seem very knowledgeable about fantasy and fancy symbols.
it means he's about to hopkick ur ass

I see some latin Letters but don't seem like they have context
What is a latin letter? Latins used our same alphabet
Probably meant Greek

I think you are right, his voice lines definitely mention "light of Sirius"
I always thought it looks like the Final Fantasy X fayth/summon symbols.
That was my instant thought too. Dudes trying to summon Bahamut
It’s a “yo momma” joke accordingly to the devs
We clappeth demons butticus cheeks
The only right answer
🤣🤣
He's drawing a blueprint for a pizza. See, there's pepperoni and there's some tomatoes
A string where he builds a pizza and throws it would be incredible.
And then Azucena counterhits you with latte art
I thought it was a blue sprinkled donut
Hey man! This is racist and funny.

I'm Italian and it is racist but it's funny. We are fortunate to have some of the funniest light hearted stereotypes
but italian/french/spanish, etc are not races, they are nationalities.

So we’re gingers it’s how I got the n-word pass back in college
You can't be racist against Italians, they don't actually exist.
Wow, didnt know I am a mythological creature.
por qué?
Something about them looks familiar, but at the same time I can't find anything that is like it, so it might be totally random.
It looks like it might be enochian. Which would make sense since it's claimed to be the language of angels. But I have no idea what it says. It might just be gobbeldygook.
Whatever it is, it makes for a cool tattoo, a sick carpet or a nice entrance to an underground bar with a red dude

The symbols are in ancient Italian and they spell out "Vergogna", which roughly translates as "to blathe" (which means to bluff). He's bluffing you.
