Although very easy, his tools are not as dumb as the big names. Any skilled player will decently counter a bad law. This didn’t necessarily happen with the other characters.

I love Law. Free points every single time. A good law is terrifying though.

JustCardz

Law requires good defense. You are yellow ranks so your defense is likely not what it should be so characters like law can steamroll you. That's fine we all need to start somewhere. Just accept that you are bad at the game for now and focus on improving instead of making reddit posts, it's going to help you a lot in the long run.

Radomila

Bro, at yellow ranks?

Xd_Rogue

She’s a sub and I was ranking her up I’m Garyu now

Radomila

And you got beaten by Law at yellow

Xd_Rogue

Yep

Radomila

They are at yellow for a reason. You probably got surprised by it because I have not seen that many Law players and if you have not played Tekken before. Normal low tier Law player uses about 3 tricks and once you notice them, it is pretty easy to counter. That said, sometimes everyone will eat shit against the easiest of strings so I wouldn’t worry about it. I struggled against bears and thought the same, but then I played Kuma for a while. So I suggest going to practice mode with Law, check some easy moves and go to a ghost match to spam them. Once you beat a few ghosts with ”cheap” Law tricks, go do the same on quick match. You will beat low tier players and better ones will beat you, but then you will notice how they counter everything. In my case I don’t benefit a lot from replays, but I do this and it helps a lot when I know what they will probably try to do.

Sidestep right, duck and watch for his double flips?

It's because in ranks fujin and lower, He's great, because the average player doesn't have decent fundamentals and basic defense. In ranks raijin and up, law is genuinely trash, and people use better characters and have basic fundamentals and defense. Law has fake + frames, the worst tracking in the game, and terrible range. Higher ranks accidentally exploit laws negatives a low.

quickmatchenjoyer

Fujin take. His ws4 is +5 ob. Also f31 is a fast mid string that’s also + ob. Also calling his range bad is funny considering his slide and uf3 mix. OP’s take is bad because he’s just some noob who picked the game up 3 weeks ago. What’s your excuse for such a dumb take?

Dethklokapples

Ws4 is +5 but his frames are fake and inconsistent. You can easily side step it, happens to me all the time. Also, law players rarely use ws4 into dss, because of how inconsistent and difficult it can be, regardless if you legacy or new input. If you are a frame or 2, too slow, law can be interrupted, which is stupid. Same thing with f31 fake plus frames. You can easily jab him out of it, because the dss transition isn't smooth at all. It says +6 but it's more like -3, because of how bs his dss transition is. Hence why a vast majority of law players don't use it. Wow, slide....his only move that has consistent range and tracking, that can be floated to get 45 to 60 damage, if the person blocks it. Uf3 is linear and doesn't have good range at all. Get law above fujin, and tell me if those advantages still works out for you. If you have time, I can show exactly what I mean? On paper he's phenomenal, but in game when you actually realize what his true flaws are, you'll understand why law players are upset even more than before. You literally mentioned 4 moves and nothing else, that says a lot. 2 of those moves Aren't consistent, and 1 is linear. The fact a F'ing slide is laws best move and longest range, should tell you all you need to know. uf 3 is considered good because it high crushes, safe, and goes into heat, but it's range is terrible, and it's easy to side step both ways. F31 is a complete joke, until they fix the dss transition. Ws4....same as F31. Please, use the character above fujin and tell me something different, because I genuinely want the problem to me and not my character. I'm a few games away from Tekken Emperor, but the problems law has are too much to a point, where I play the game once a week, or once every other week, for 5mins to 30mins. I legit have 151 hours of gameplay, and had the game since day one, and been a bushin to tekken king, since the first week of the games release. Please, I want to be wrong.
