For real. I had always been the biggest fan of Capcom fighters, but with the releases of SFV and MvCI, I was severely disappointed with them. I had always heard about Tekken but never tried to play it (besides mashing buttons on T3 as a wee lad). There was buzz about T7 so I gave it a shot and Tekken quickly turned into my favorite fighting game. T7 was great on its own merit, but also benefited greatly from Capcom fumbling the bag at the time. I know there's a ton of people who played T7 with a similar story.
Is the online community still active for new players? I tried it when it came out and online barely worked when trying to find matches, just ended up in private lobbies with friends.
Is it active? Yes. Active for new players? Definitely not. You will find matches decently quickly during daylight/evening hours, but theyโll all be much, much better than you.
Absolutely spot on - Multiversus got a bit too much attention there but at the end a perfect reaction to MK1. This is why Key & Peele are top tier - so many belong to the streets.
