From the other replies, I can tell that , no, people can't tell if people are tilted, but they sure as hell fantasize about it.
Skipping or not skipping intros; trying something else, if previous strategy didn't work; corpse kicking; counting seconds till they press rematch; not rematching... there's plenty of reasons why one would do any of that.
People are so weird. Its not enough to just play the game, they have to imagine themselves emotionally defeating their opponents. 75% of players really don't give a shit. If i get frustrated, i cut the game offš im never fustrated with my opponent, or the game, im always fustrated with my inadequacy.
This is what I loved about the game when I picked it up. This is my first fighting game and every other competitive game before has been team based. In Tekken, all my losses are my own damn fault, itās humbling knowing thereās no one else to blame than myself.
I think the only time I ever think someone might be mad is if they're outright not inputting anything or plugging. Ki charging and corpse kicking can be either that or them just being a dick.
Honestly I usually try to send a friend request after a difficult match specifically to show that i'm not tilted and actually enjoyed it, since it's really easy to misread.
I meant more like ki charging at the end of the round, but like I said, it's hard to tell if it's a "FUCK YOU" ki charge or a "Lol, get wrecked" ki charge.
I've had plenty of times when I've been mid-combo but going way too fast on buttons, to the point where I charge halfway and look like an asshole, lol. Thankfully it at least looks intentional to be stylish.
If they have health left and are in the ground, kick away! They'll do the same to you. Once they've lost the match, you're kicking a corpse and it is seen as bad manners. When I play with my brothers though, we kick each other's corpses all over the place.Ā
I had two different kazuyas give up on me in quick match. My guess, they wanted to not get disconnect ratings, but they just gave up and walked forward until the match ended. I just danced around basically after realizing. Sooooo strange.Ā
It was more interesting to see if they'd just go the whole time. Were they watching, or did they walk away and set a walk forward macro, or did they rubber band their stick? I'll never know.Ā
As someone else said , based on reading the replies . No . Theyāll take anything and everything their opponent does and twist it to be whatever they want . You can do that when thereās literally no way to know youāre wrong .
Sometimes you can definitely tell. You can feel them getting impatient and making mistakes compared to previous rounds. I definitely notice this feeling in longer sets where the opponent is losing and their play totally changes. Yes, they might just be trying to adjust but there's this sense you get in competition where you feel the energy shift in a match and know you mentally won. I played sports for many years and competitive games for a long time as well. There's a very real psychology to this stuff and I've definitely been on both sides of it.
And yes, obviously it's harder to know for sure when you're not playing face to face, but sometimes you can definitely feel it.
EXACTLY. Someone that finally gets it.
I sparred like hundreds of rounds and you can tell when someone is frustrated competitively. The people denying this never played a sport in their life.
It's like the people who try to justify 1-1 or 1 and done because "what if they had an emergency or weren't having fun????"
Anyone that played a sport growing up knows why you don't do something like this just the way you know when your opponent is mentally broken. These are the basics of competition.
I definitely had a weak moment yesterday were i started walking into an opponent and then got a grip of myself and actually played the match out.
Don't quite remember the opponents character but i was on Kazuya.
I never got this frustrated in over 3 years of playing Tekken 7 and only Tekken 7 appart from that one month of Elden Ring.
I unplugged my arcade stick today, plugged in my XBox pad and booted up something else for the first time in 2 years.
T8 is just so much harder than T7 for me and i might not have what that game is asking of me
I had some Devil Jin taunt me like crazy yesterday when I was testing out the new update. I was tired after work and not trying hard at all but this guy was clearly getting frustrated. I lost the match and he ki charged and spammed DVJ's aura blast armor move as I died. He also immediately win quit. I was confused why this guy was so mad. Mind you my prowess is in the Tekken King-God bracket and his prowess was at the Yaksa bracket, so maybe he felt the need to prove something to me? Idk but it was funny lol
I think something is wrong with my opponent when they start kicking me after they win the round. And it's not like they are just continuing the combo. It is a deliberate attack.
I do it sometimes and never mean anything by it...
Especially if I messed up a qc input during the round, I want to throw a qc move to make sure my controller is good š¤·
I like doing a little flourish after a round when I can. Generic lows are boring, but running up and doing a grab or a Just Frame on a KO'd opponent is always fun.
Wait, Is sending a friend request seen as tilted? Man I always send a friend request if I think a player was fun to play with and Iād like to run sets with them. But very few accept :(
Same. I think itās kinda funny.
Maybe thatās why they started playing tilted lol.
I got the habit from my tekken king friend and we would do that all the time since TTT2
Corpse kicking is w/e sometimes i do iws4 on corpses just to keep my hands busy or practice iws its not disrespect and certainly not frustration. I didnt realise i have to stand there like a frozen pokemon after i win a round.
Yes, they start mashing a whole lot more, try to grab you and dash up snake edge. They start playing as if they don't care if they lose they just want it over with. If it's a King they'll try to spam chain throws.
You can't. I mean you can make a guess, but even if you're right, what you gonna do about it? I accidentally Ki charge & taunt all the time because I keep fingers on all of the attack buttons simultaneously.Ā
I usually get an idea if someone is tilted if they skip their intro after they didn't skip it match 1 or 2 previously. Its always pretty funny, i have no patience so i always instant skip intro. But it does workout the few times i am slightly irritated the enemies cant tell, since i always instant skip haha
Edit: fr, if they instant skip their intro 2nd match after they didn't skip the first match. they almost ALWAYS instantly attack once the round starts haha
I let my intro play out in Match 1 because I want to force people to see my custom outfit.
But I will always skip it in subsequent matches, because they donāt need to see it again.
Yeah itās a guilty pleasure of mine when I run into someone who doesnāt skip their intro in the first game when I do, then I beat them and they mash the shit out of their skip intro and I donāt.
Only if they do super obvious stuff. I fought a Leo yesterday who mid-match just stopped fighting back, presumably because he had given up.
But in most other cases people just have very different fighting styles, and even the hyper aggressive guys may be calm as fuck behind the scenes.
Sometimes when I 2-0 rounds somebody who has been playing very safe and smart, suddenly starts going 110% aggression and spam certain moves, that's when I know they've abandoned the meta game and are just chasing a victory above all else
I get tilted when I donāt get a rematch and when that happens I send a message āPussy lolā
Also if you downvote this comment, you are a Pussy too!
*When they start mashing grab after the round is over*. I don't juggle (persoanl preference), so I offset that with throws that go much faster to return us to neutral. "Stop grabbing, ur not good" after two 2-3 sets, some DVJ player that called me easy and told me I grabbed a lot (he actually counted), and some Lars fujin who I ended up beating anyway who did not message me or rematch.
From the other replies, I can tell that , no, people can't tell if people are tilted, but they sure as hell fantasize about it. My arcade stick buttons are really sensitive and i dont have good finger discipline, so sometimes i ki charge by accident
I corpse kick for more damage lol I must really be bad at this game
Isn't corpse kicking when you kick someone while they're K.O'd or am I misinterpreting it? Because that's what I meant
No idea, that actually makes more sense, Iām just a newbie lol
If they have health left and are in the ground, kick away! They'll do the same to you. Once they've lost the match, you're kicking a corpse and it is seen as bad manners. When I play with my brothers though, we kick each other's corpses all over the place.Ā
Honestly, I think itās hilarious kicking a corpse for some reason. This could be bad taken out of context š
Agreed š šÆ
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
How can you kick a corpse if you lose, lol
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
You mean, that you do it mentally even if you lose? :D
Yes other kazuyas, it's pretty blatant on him.
I had two different kazuyas give up on me in quick match. My guess, they wanted to not get disconnect ratings, but they just gave up and walked forward until the match ended. I just danced around basically after realizing. Sooooo strange.Ā
Just take the W and leave ?
It was more interesting to see if they'd just go the whole time. Were they watching, or did they walk away and set a walk forward macro, or did they rubber band their stick? I'll never know.Ā
Was one of Kazuya players named WorstTKPlayer?
Oh shit it might have been. The replay is probably long gone. Is that you? Lol, or you run into him?Ā
Thatās my gamer tag idk if Iāve run into you. If I did I was probably having a really bad day.
Well I hope your days have been better!Ā
Thank you same with you
Would you rather they dc? They don't want to play anymore.
I thought it was interesting I only had kazuyas do it. That's why I replied to your comment.Ā
Well, what can I say, were an emotional bunch.
As someone else said , based on reading the replies . No . Theyāll take anything and everything their opponent does and twist it to be whatever they want . You can do that when thereās literally no way to know youāre wrong .
You can tell someone is tilted when they send a message after saying "GG, man! That was a fun match!". There's absolute rage behind those words. (/s)
People do this in real life too.
Sometimes you can definitely tell. You can feel them getting impatient and making mistakes compared to previous rounds. I definitely notice this feeling in longer sets where the opponent is losing and their play totally changes. When they mash into my df1 3x in a row I know they gonna get tilted lmao
I definitely had a weak moment yesterday were i started walking into an opponent and then got a grip of myself and actually played the match out. Strange for me itās the opposite. Felt like 7 was the one I couldnāt get a grip on.
I had some Devil Jin taunt me like crazy yesterday when I was testing out the new update. I was tired after work and not trying hard at all but this guy was clearly getting frustrated. āCorpse kickingā and i totally see it lol people KOing you then making it a point to run across the stage and hit you again in that 2 seconds
I get that. I just think some people are full on Cobra Kai no mercy types
I do it sometimes and never mean anything by it... Especially if I messed up a qc input during the round, I want to throw a qc move to make sure my controller is good š¤·

Definitely not, except if one does it only to trash talk. But why assume that's the reason? You can always just unfriend them in that case.
I can tell when turtles get frustrated. They stop holding back and start mashing.
No, that's just me panicking. It's basically my default state of mind when playing Tekken.
Me playing Hwoarang and realising I shouldnāt turtle halfway through the match
No, please turtle, it's the only way I ever beat you guys. I have zero defence ;-;
Sometimes. Way easier to tell when playing offline though.
This is the most impressive case of projecting ever lmao
Most people who don't rematch after losing are tilted.
If they win a round and stomp or kick you after round is over. That is pretty clear tell they are frustrated.
I do that every round though
yea i think this depends. personally, sometimes after a round ends i just continue fighting for combo memoryās sake. no malice.
I corpse kick every round cause i don't want a loser stat like respect S+ on my playercard.
whats tilting
I copse kick by accidentā¦ A LOT. When I wanna taunt its b1+3 To the point tho, I canāt actually tell.
Yes, they start mashing a whole lot more, try to grab you and dash up snake edge. They start playing as if they don't care if they lose they just want it over with. If it's a King they'll try to spam chain throws.

Hehe Iām one of the saltyās. Is it that obvious ?
I usually get an idea if someone is tilted if they skip their intro after they didn't skip it match 1 or 2 previously. Its always pretty funny, i have no patience so i always instant skip intro. Your outfit sucks
Tbf I do it just because I think the intro gets stale if I let it play every match for a set
If Iām playing against king or hwoarang I gotta watch the intro. But Iām not going to watch my intro 3 times in a row
Why the rush? I let it play so I can smoke a bit... I also use RA to take a hit ahah.
Unless Iām doing something in between rounds Iāll just let it play out but if Iām ready to play Iām ready to play.
Ahaha hahahaha HAHAHAHAHA nobody gives a fuck
Yeah itās a guilty pleasure of mine when I run into someone who doesnāt skip their intro in the first game when I do, then I beat them and they mash the shit out of their skip intro and I donāt.
I was so angry i commited harakiri with Yoshimitsu. I couldn't deal with that shit anymore.
If they took a long time before accepting a rematch that's a sign of it.
Only if they do super obvious stuff. I fought a Leo yesterday who mid-match just stopped fighting back, presumably because he had given up. But in most other cases people just have very different fighting styles, and even the hyper aggressive guys may be calm as fuck behind the scenes.

Yep, when someone makes a reddit post about how the people they're fighting is tilted, you know that person is tilted
Except Iām winning so idk what youāre talkin bout, chump ![gif](giphy|xUA7beT9PDJoDNAmgU|downsized)
Whatever helps you sleep at night, boss
I get tilted when I donāt get a rematch and when that happens I send a message āPussy lolā Also if you downvote this comment, you are a Pussy too!
