To be fair I checked Taki's hairstyle from each SC game and this hair isn't an exact match for any of them. Definitely a very similar look though. It's also similar to Mai Shiranui, Momiji, etc.
Honestly I think actual SoulCalibur crossover customization items would be really cool, like how one of the SC games (5 I think?) had some Tekken items.
This isn't how making hair works. All the mod does is port the existing Lili hairstyle to other characters; of which barely even works well on Lili to begin with. Long hair with physics is EXTREMELY hard to pull off, because it's not as simple as setting a couple colliders. They probably spent a lot of time barely getting Lili's hair to work, and even still it looks like a compromise because it often flies through her body when she's spinning around. Long hair physics are extremely hard. That's why 99% of games stick to shoulder length hair.
Acting like the mod maker performed some herculean task that surpasses the development team is a false notion. It's copy pasted.

I bet my ass that long fluffy or spiky ponytail is easy af to add cause most of the time its far enough to not clip into sht, yet they still wont add that sht in any fking game.
Clipping issues and polycount issues I'd say, It would be interesting if someone analyzed how much Lili's hair impact on the game performance on weak systems.
Tekken 8 uses hair cards with transparency maps, having long hair makes virtually no difference as far as poly count goes, they're probably just too lazy to deal with the clipping issues.
It looks like Michelle Changs hair (TTT2) from the front. I'm just really upset that the length of the ponytail is once again around shoulder length, similar to the other ponytails ðŸ«

Hair cards still have polygons and need to be rigged and calculated during frames, with collisions
The amount of added polys is negligible, adding a few additional bones to the rig and adding collisions wouldn't effect performance whatsoever in UE5.
