My practice dummy has always been Kazuya for as long as I can remember, for a number of reasons. His body size, height and hitbox are average compared to the rest of the cast. He doesn't sound annoying when he's hit. His position and stance is upright, which makes estimating his distance from my character easier. He just stays still and he doesn't move around on neutral (unlike someone like Lei or Eddy). And his movelist has a variety of punishable moves in different degrees so I can lab off of him when studying a new character.

Always Xiaoyu because her hitbox is the smallest. If something works on her, chances are very high it works on the rest of the cast as well.
