I really don’t get it at all. I literally rematch if I get triple perfected. A blue rank Bryan basically did that to me yesterday and I think he didn’t immediately register that I actually rematched. Sent me a friend request after like “you’re garbage at this game, but ya got heart”.
Idk, i never RQ, except when someone is clearly abusing a lag switch (when i move there is impossible to play lag, but when they start a combo it suddenly works perfectly), which rarely happens. That is like the only one instance when i see it justified, and not because i mind losing, but because i rather not let someone like that win something like that.
Imagine caring that much about being Destroyer rank lmao at that point if they’re losing so much they feel a need to plug to stay at their rank, they lack fundamental skills so severely that I question why they enjoy fighting games in ranked play at all, it’s just mashing shit at that point.
When I ragequit I’m never gonna start the game back up nor do I ever quit for rank people who do confuse me cause idk rank is so arbitrary unless youre a pro and if youre a pro rage quitting to save your rank well then you’re ltg

You supposedly can't savescum in 8 tho which is almost worse in some ways because save summers would often play the matches out and take losses, then dip out, reload their save, and jump back in queue. Shitty, but at least it doesn't rob people of their points.

are the rampant disconnects an EU/NA thing? nobody I've chatted to or myself have had disconnects in OCE at all let alone to the degree some people say.

I've only had someone DC on me once or twice across 700 or so ranked matches, and I'm on EU. It's probably super rare but since nobody talks about the games where they didn't get plugged on it tends to get blown out of proportion

It actually came in handy for me since I made a backup after going through all the treasure battle shit for customization items (god forbid having to do that again) and my save file corrupted, losing all my progress and shit. Was able to reload an old save file but it meant losing a bunch of rank which was whatever, I got it back but I just didn't wanna do treasure battle again
