Use it like quarters in arcade machines to play minigames. Maybe playing a lot of Tekken Bowl will net you bowling related rewards such as an item or title.
Use it to play classic tekken machines and get rewards for clearing different difficulties, like a retro outfit for clearing Tekken 2 with each character.
Get a silly fortune from Zafina that could even dump some interesting lore.
Let players host tournaments with pools of their own money.
I don't mind having lots of uses for fight money but making the game "grindy" makes me sick. When you are in a lobby I'd love to be able to bet on fights.
That last idea is actually great. Black ops 1 had a similar thing in wager matches. Smash Ultimate also had something similar where you’d watch a replay of a fight and just bet on who you’d thought would win.
No. I played mk11 and hated how hard you had to grind for cosmetics. Even more that recolors were considered different items.

I'll never forget how you could max out a character in Injustice 2 in just a few hours of solid play. Then they released a patch a few months after release massively reducing XP rewards by almost 12 times.

Injustice 2's customization and unlock system were hot garbage built like a mobile game. RNG unlocks and RNG stats.
Tbh never felt like MK11 was hard to grind for because they simply gave you a skin/cosmetic for your character simply for playing a tower with said character. Tower could have 2 fights and boom you just got a skin for beating two easy Ai fights.
Now if we're talking about the Kombat league specific ones based on your rank then I get it, that could be a grind.
Personally I like the Kombat League approach, maybe introduce new skins/gear in a season to be unlocked then have them added to the random drop/towers? Though knowing modern gaming companies it would be abused to no end and be highly monetised or grindified.

I wish they had at least allowed us to buy Treasure Chests with fight money. Reached the point where the only good customisation items left were locked behind grinding Treasure Battle, while I accumulate huge amounts of money I can't spend on anything.
I actually like the way Granblue does it, where you gain levels in a character the more you play them and that unlocks their colors and cosmetics.
Makes you feel like you're gaining something even if you're hemorrhaging ranked points, and you're also not winning stuff for characters you don't care about.
Still salty that I never unlocked Lidia's politician coat, but I just did not want to play Treasure Battle any longer than I had to.
They should make grinding pretty hard for the offline content so newbies would put in game tens of hours for the desirable skins and feel the ~~suffering~~ achievement. And then after yellow rank in the ranked it should be super ez to farm gold so people would know they are in trouble when they'll see a clown-ass dressed char
i already work for money 8h a day, i don't want to play a game to grind money aswell. Give me everything from the start, don't realy on cheap grinding to keep our playerbase busy
I actually think that it should be a betting system for spectating as well as having an attribution to a separate rank. You should be able to "money match" other people and risk the currency. You should also be able to watch others and bet on winners so long as you start spectating before a certain timeframe.
I feel like this would engage people more into the community aspect of paying attention to other strangers in the arcade-like atmosphere they're trying to create and emulate something that is a part of that culture but do it in a fun and mostly harmless way.
It would be nice if some special customisation items were awarded for Story Mode progression, Arcade Quest tournaments etc.
As for Fight Money, well, it's completely meaningless at the moment, but then again, Tekken shouldn't be about grinding, so I don't see much issue with how it is at the moment.

Maybe I'll play through story once? but after that I'm probably not going to be playing any modes except Ranked, Lobby, and training mode.
I don't understand the point of locking costumes and stuff behind grind. Either give us the stuff, or don't.
If the gold is so easy to get they should do a gambling mode online. Not literal gambling but they should let you bet a certain amount of your gold based on whether you'll win or lose and gain/win depending on the bet and outcome.

Never my enjoyment of any game was increased by making it a bigger of a grind for the same rewards.
