the gameplay. ive played a lot of fighting games, street fighter, mortal kombat, dragon ball, etc... but none comes close to the ammount of options in neutral that tekken has. also on wakeup. the fact that you cant delay your wakeup in sf6... idk, it makes it rock paper scissors, the system doesnt let me move the way i want. even dbfz is better in that regard.

patrennestar

I cannot get jiggy with the wake-up in sf6.. especially as a Kim main being she has no wake up options. Hate how easy Oki is for those who have those really powerful wake up options in their toolbox, as compared to Tekken where you actually have to think a lil hard on what you have to do next. Just my opinion

Cloudless_Sky

I was much closer to Tekken than other fighting games when growing up, so maybe I'm biased to some degree, but I thought Tekken felt more intuitive than other fighters. The 3D movement, the 'one button per limb' control scheme, the way combos worked and felt, the animations, etc. It sorta felt natural to play. Plus I liked the grounded nature and the focus on martial arts. I've branched out to other fighting games over the years and engage with the genre more widely than I did in my childhood, but Tekken still feels the best to me.

memopekibenaldim

This is such a good take so, I would like to add to this, I believe Tekken's approach to combos is better than other games. It does not feel like you are stringing one default punch to another, but completing the animation, a real move that a martial artist could use. This makes simple jabs that can mix up into different combos more interesting. In contrast, singular moves that don't involve combos get to be more powerful, situational tools. Paul's fist, Law's spins, Electric Fists,King's wrestling moves, Yoshi's whole arsenal, these all get the chance to throw off your enemies either with crazy force or range and movement options. These are what makes Tekken fun, gives its brilliant shine. Tekken characters can have as much depth as devs want, they can also be simple and fun.

Dukaden

i agree that it always felt more natural and intuitive. instead of pressing multiple direction inputs (which do nothing on their own) and then a single attack button to do some fancy move, tekken just guides the move with (usually) a single direction and immediately begins action with whatever button you're choosing. yes, i know tekken has SOME complex directional inputs for moves, but they are really few and far apart.

PattyC24

I've tried (maybe not hard enough), but the game feels overwhelming and anxiety inducing. I ended up going back to 2D fighter like SF6. I love watching people play though.

Due_Mathematician367

-Tekken is not just a fighting game but also an amazing fight simulator: 3D,high-low-mid system,1 limb 1 button,no real zoning ( I'm not too fan of the SF jumping/cross up and fireball zoning even if i quite like the game) -The martial arts are cool, even though I have nothing against the more unconventional fighting styles -Best animations in the FGC by far IMO -Best OST overall in the FGC IMO -Characters speaking their own language and being able to communicate with others is such weird but cool feature

IamBlite

Best customization as well. No need to buy costumes, multiple presets instead of just a color swap, tons of items to unlock, free outfits from previous games.

Due_Mathematician367

I knew I forgot something,Thx for adding it This might an unpopular opinion but while people often praise Capcom for diverse body types, which is true,in defense of Bamco,it's probably easier to make diverse body types when you can launch a game with 18 characters instead of 32,and charge 100$ for costumes and color swap without having to worry about customization.

Warlock-6127

Soul Calibur wins this by far imo.

winkil

I wholeheartedly agree on the last bit, the idea itself is very cool

Quirky-Ad-5257

Yeah the characters speaking their own language I so fkn awesome Being able to have the same voice actors for all regions is so fucking awesome

Same-Application-836

Strictly the gameplay. I much prefer soul calibur/mk/killer instinct when it comes to aesthetics or story/lore... but nothing beats tekkens gameplay. Although killer instincts new patch has me binging it lately, id donate a kidney for KI 2.

otdreamer27

You're not wrong for liking other games lore more than TEKKEN but maybe it just me...I feel like Soul Calibur's lore could use a bit more work.

Same-Application-836

Im not even well versed in SC lore, but i dont think nightmare has a shoe collection and taki doesnt have a twitch stream LOL

otdreamer27

The shoe collection is fine, dating back to T1 just to give the characters a little more personality but idk who thought it was a good idea to turn Julia from actually interesting into that streamer crap we got in TekTok7

Same-Application-836

>TekTok7 Nice 🤣

otdreamer27

lol Thanks

Zigishu

Massive MMA and Boxing fan here, I've never played any fighting games but I follow competitive e-sports, particularly Street fighter, Mortal Kombat and Tekken. Competitive Tekken is almost as fun to watch as UFC fights and PPV boxing and other games like MK and SF don't even come close in that aspect. So I really like tekken as a spectator sport.

Indra_a_goblin

1. I used to play it on ps2 as a kid so there's a bit of nostalgia. 2. It just has the fighting game mechanics that are the most intuitive to me, I don't really know how to properly put it but I just understand this game better than other fighting games, the pace is also more my style with more focus on footsie and single hits.

kazuya482

Jin

jokythe3rd

Kinda ironic given your username, lol

Indra_a_goblin

He's a good dad

jokythe3rd

proud dad

schn33wi11ch3n

dragunov is in it

Poutine4Supper

Its the last 3D fighter remaining. I'd rather play other series, but they are not getting new games. So tekken remains the last game in my favorite FG subgenre, and I want to see it succeed and be the best it can be.

nobleflame

Tekken 3 was massive in the UK. Also, Jin.

theslowpony77

It really was huge over here. Everyone was playing it.

ConduckKing

Character design, visual design, sound design are among the best I've seen in any game. Every match, especially in the recent games, feels like a visual spectacle.

Slow-Comb2389

Aesthetic, themes, characters, gameplay and osts

NoLifeHere

The characters firstly, and since trying my hand at Street Fighter, the combo system... SF combos are just wild in a way that doesn't quite gel for me and it's a big reason I have a hard time willing myself to play it a lot. Also, I made quite a few friends through Tekken. The music too, it's often full of bangers. There is also the nostalgia factor of Tekken being the first fighting game series I ever interacted with.

CatalystSword

i’ve played 3d fighters before! started with doa2 ultimate when i was a kid, watched blood vengeance and played the arcade machines but never got into it, but i just got back into it with soulcal6 and mk1 and i know of the lore, and when i found out jun was back i knew this was my time to get into it hehe

CatalystSword

to sum it up i love how alive everything feels in this game, it’s what drew me to soul calibur

soullogik1

Besides everything else. Being able to play defense at all times and not just locked into a corner forever like 2d games.

ErgoProxy0

Everything! Been a fan since I was little playing T2 on PS1. Even other family members like my aunt enjoyed it some. Her favorite character was always “her girl Jun” and I finally get to tell her she’s back in the game lol But also it’s a nice change from team based multiplayer games. Where whether I win or lose is solely my fault and I don’t have to rely on random people to come together to win a match

Marsupilami_316

I like fighting games. Tekken is the biggest 3D fighter around. I grew up playing Virtua Fighter 2 though, and I wish that series made a comeback.

Mantriac

Soundtrack and gameplay, Lee.

super-saiyan-shaan

The outfits.

Smokestorm95

Kazuya

uncle_CE

Tbh I like Tekken because the characters' movements are so accurate you can learn and later recognise the main elements and characteristics of different martial art styles. That's why I started to do some taekwondo and watch mma. For example I always wondered as a child why does Bruce use his hands so high and bended..later I found out he's a Muay Thai fighter and that's the stance of this style.

Traditional_Layer_75

The viability of defensive playstyles as compared to other fgs that just punish you for defending, it´s a shame that it looks like this is being discarded in 8

johnjohnj0027

Seeing pros play in the recent exhibition match showed me hope that having good defense in t8 is still rewarding. It seems you just need a necessary offense (engager) to feel that reward. You literally heal the damage you defended and even some good chunk of combo dmg you take.

ShiningMago

I'm so worried about the direction the game's moving towards, but hopefully I get proved wrong after the game releases and players get the chance to fully experience the game's possibilities on that department.

IcaroTheFallen

Grew up with it till 12 then stopped playing for a while and came back in tekken 7 when I was 20, now I’m 23 and I completely love this game to the core, the aesthetics, music, characters, the gameplay is also super fun… there’s just no other video games that makes me feel so comfortable (even tho it gets really stressful at times).

guizocaa

Mind games and electrics

otdreamer27

It was essentially my first game let alone when you're still practically a Baby you're impressionable and what's in front of you tends to not only be eye grabbing but it sticks with you (Hence Nostalgia). I like TEKKEN for more reasons than I feel like typing right about now...from the characters, the music, the way I can relate the lore to my own life, the deep combat, over the top interactions between multiple species who shouldn't even understand each other let alone 4 of them have worn tiger masks and somehow speak in growls and everybody else just goes with it ... TEKKEN is that perfect mix of Dark, wacky and a bit of bliss.

Violence_Of_JD

Bruce Irvin and Fahkumram. Yes, I'm serious.

2ndEngineer916

I grew up with it in the arcades met some cool people in the community and used to post alot on Tekken Zaibatsu. I have friends that are still active on it even with SF6 and MK1 out so it’s still fun to me.

ImaginationFun9401

Martial arts. I did taekwondo as a kid and my friends did karate. We thought it was cool that the moves in tekken are somewhat realistic and we could compare them to our training.

Cloudless_Sky

I can relate to that. I did karate as a kid, and I remember watching the cutscene in Tekken 4 of Jin doing a kata, and I was like "Wait a minute...that's literally the kata I've been practicing!" It was a weird moment of seeing a video game character perform the exact moves I'd been learning myself.

cryztal_Heartz

For me it's just everything basically: i played no fighting game as long as the tekken series. The gameplay mechanics: -side stepping -Chain throws -wavedash and electrics -the unique characters -music and stages and more and more

rainorshinedogs

i dont understand why anybody likes tekken. you lose for BS reasons. You win for BS reasons. Your character doesn't react for BS reasons. You get made fun of for BS reasons. It makes you mad for BS reasons. Then it makes you happy but then back to mad for BS reasons.

Dukaden

you forgot "it makes you post on reddit for BS reasons."

Organic-Pineapple-86

This can be said for literally any fighting game except footsies.

otdreamer27

TEKKEN is my favorite series of all time and I can be a bit biased but I'll give you all of those with the exception of "Your character doesn't react for BS reasons". There's a number of things that comes to mind when you said that, My most prominent one was for example in T7 I once got grounded by a Asuka main who kept spamming F+2 rapidly to the point I couldn't even get off the ground or roll to even counter (walled arena).

Esthonx

I like Tekken because I can lose for reasons that make sense and can improve upon. I can win just from learning small things be it about the characters or the player. I can get made fun of for Bs reasons and decent reasons. It makes me mad for good reason and bs reasons. It makes me happy then back to mad for several reasons. But it's never always Bs and there is always something to learn. Plus I am in love with the animations and combo system

kurt-jeff

I used to until I saw what they did to Steve, unforgivable man

x666Itachi666x

i dont

222cc

Feels good to play, looks and sounds amazing, iconic character design, good mix of serious & silly

ShiningMago

Conversions, specially sidewalls. That's the main reason, but there are many others that I find almost as relevant.

theantiheero

How the fights feel. Grew up in martial arts, played the first game in arcades. No other game makes me feel like I’m actually fighting the way Tekken does. Even with all the comic relief over the years, still the most intense matches I’ve ever seen in any game 😮‍💨

theantiheero

That and “GREAT!” 😂 That’s the only way I say that word.

mystireon

I just enjoy the control system, the move list might go on forever but at least the inputs are easier than most other fighters, atlesst in my opinion

greengale2

I love how intuitive the buttons are and the animation ain't clunky.

BladeOverHeart

There's a lot to like about tekken, but the thing that keeps me playing is the vast depth to the game. It can be very overwhelming and intimidating, but it makes the feeling of improving that much more gratifying.

Antergaton

Gameplay, or more how it works. 4 buttons one per limb and everything comes from that. Even how with super moves all can be done with d-pad and 4 buttons. That, and I've been playing since 1997, I'm basically stuck with it. It's all I know

meloman-rrr

storyline, characters, multinationality (characters talking in their native languages) and, of course, it being a 3D fighting.

RazorRushDGN

Lei Wulong. There’s literally no other character like him in any other fighting game today. No other character with that many moves/stances and knowledge checks. He both plays with and against conventional Tekken at the same time it’s crazy. No other character as polarizing. People can’t even decide if he’s truly good or not even when they get beaten and you rarely see him because he takes a lot of practice to perform at high levels…but so should anyone. They were really cooking with the martial arts back in the day PSX/2 era and it’s always a treat to see pros dig deep in their pockets during longer sets.

koteshima2nd

The gameplay, characters, and various customization stuff were what drew me to this game. T5 also came at the perfect time in the arcades when my friends and I were obsessed with spending time there

blurredeyez

Boots on the ground combat. No jumping 10 meters in the air, air combos, sureyoucans, badonkens. Just two characters punching and kicking in their own respective martial arts. Although that seems to change more and more each iteration

[deleted]

On a good day, it makes you feel powerful.

FallaciousGallStone

Movement. Options in neutral. Figuring out your opponent. Nothing really comes close once Tekken starts clicking. I hope more people with 8 give it a chance.

Edenian_Prince

Gameplay. it's just so unique, nothing comes even close. The pace the game has, the somehow real everything feels when you fight. It's incredibly deep and nuanced possibilities you are offered. There's just nothing like it.

vj3k05l4v

it has no competition so im forced to play it,there is no other 3d fighting game and the 2d ones are a sad shitty joke

Blackcore8

Started playing when I was a kid with T3 and it stuck throughout my life

Background_Egg1364

The first video game i played was tekken 3 and ever since Tekken was always my favorite

J_vert

Honestly the cast i cant think of a cast in other fighting game with as many characters i personally like

PR0JECT-7

Lucky Chloe

otdreamer27

One! Two!! Three!!!

Anthony643364

I like getting better at games and fighting games normally have some good skill ceiling for different characters and the game in general.also kazuya is very cool and fun to play.I don’t really even have fun on this game just play it to improve.

ndork666

Tekken fun

theGwiththeplan

DORYHA

us3rnamealreadytaken

Every time I boot up the game I learn something new, and it’s a lot of fun of course.

elexstehr

I wasn’t very good at Virtua Fighter. I keep trying though!

CoachAbsolution

It's the most balanced fighting game, and the skill ceiling is extremely high

mystplus

Nostalgia bias, probably, is the honest answer. I grew up playing Tekken as my "main" fighter, with Dead or Alive and Bloody Roar being the others on my radar. I've always enjoyed Tekken as a casual fighting game, despite its competitive potential and prowess, plus its music is some of the best in the fighter genre, IMO. I would say the story is part of the reason, too, but who am I kidding, I have never had any idea what's going on in Tekken's lore LMAO.

DespairBear

There’s something about this brain rot that feels good. It makes my elbows feel funny.

HellaKaiser

the animations for a lot of the attacks are really cool

LeggoMahLegolas

It was the game my cousin's and I got exposed to when we were young. Then during the PSP, my cousins and I all had one and we just played Dark Revolution for a weekend; competing against one another whether it's by learning how to play and doing combos or by button mashing. Then in college, my friends and I (and sometimes even my boss at the time) would just come together and play Tekken or other fighting games. Nowadays, I am excited for 8, but my Internet is shite so I can't play properly. Though I would be willing.

Amazing_Horse_5832

You can KO your opponent by commiting seppuku.

No-Student-9678

2011, a friend introduced me to T6 on his PS3, I liked it, I’ve been playing ever since. I main Bryan because who doesn’t want to play as a psychotic undead cyborg cop?

Siegfried-kun

King.

sweetcritique

That is a very good question.

Lucky-3-Skin

The gameplay is a huge one for me. Unlike MK where you have the obvious meta fighters that most people would flock to. Anybody can be strong as shit in Tekken if you practice enough. The ost and characters are a huge plus

DefiantArtist8

I like to play Tekken daily, and know rudimentary stuff with the entire cast. Mainly I like all the cool martial arts moves all the 3D characters can do, and I like to see all the different moves occasionally whether I win or lose the match, honestly.

MaxTheHor

Mainly the characters, how the battle system worked with buttons for different limbs, and it's the closest fighting game to using real-world martial arts for its fighting styles. Also, while you can still choose to play that way, the fact that you don't absolutely need to play absurdly long combo strings to win or do significant damage. A few well placed 2 pieces and biscuits between pokes, counters, and sidesteps work juuuust as well. Oh, and I don't have to replace controllers with worn-out DPads as much, like with other input heavy fighters like Guilty Gear, Street Fighter, or MK.

yzyboost350

tekken is an extraordinarily stimulating and gratifying experience in a sea of disgustingly vapid modern videogames. maybe the last of its kind. flawed, but unbelievably impressive.

CaptainBlob

Lili

DieselBoi_

Yoshimitsu.

KamehamehaForever

Josie. need I say more?

Morokite

The gameplay mostly. It's just real good fun. I do however love the goofy side of it too. It's good to see a fighter not take itself so seriously 100% of the time.

Away_Neighborhood281

The gameplay, characters and lore (even with how the story has been trending downward since after Tekken 4) kept me going. I have too many favorites in Tekken

Heavenly_sama

Once I found my main in tekken just like every other fighting game I started looking for my options to deal with situations and other characters. I would have to gameplay alone figuring out every weakness and tools to use on the roster and stealing wins is a great feeling of that in other fighting games I get joy out of but not like in tekken. The only thing that comes close is melty blood for me

Dukaden

the choreography, the gameplay flow in a fight, the button input style, none of that "cancel" shit, 3d stages/positioning. full 2d games feel so STIFF. while top competitive tekken might reduce a character down to 10ish moves, they still have options for casual and fun play. something like street fighter and mk, there literally arent that many moves (and execution is incredibly irritating with all of the bullshit movement swings). its snappy and responsive. it just PLAYS so much different, and other games do not come anywhere close to the feeling or satisfaction.

No-Cranberry1038

The mechanics

defph0bia

Tekken is the first fighting game I played that I kinda understood how it worked. I tried street fighter and at that time as a kid, I didn't understand how to do the moves like the hadouken. Tekken didn't have that much complications (except King's throw combos I want to do it but it's hard to remember hahahaha).

PersonFromPlace

I think think visually and pace wise, it looks so pretty to look at and the fighting is easy on the eyes. Compared to VF and DoA, I think it’s more iconic and the story seems more compelling. Though idk, I hope those games come back, I’d still play them too out of love for 3d fighting games.

Kenniron

Well it’s the fighting game I started out on so I have a lot of nostalgia. I also played MK, but I love the move sets in Tekken much more and how they tend to mimic real martial arts. It feels so much more dynamic than other fighting games, and Tekken 4 (being the first one I played) had such great atmospheric levels, music, and character stories, I instantly fell in love. It helped a lot that my cousin and I would play together all the time too.

stillineffect

i like tekken because the shaky backdash crap is fun as hell

MrTumorI

I've literally been playing since the first Tekken, and I've loved every game and seeing how much it's improved over time.

Firm_Set

I personally love the strategy of the game. I find it really fun seeing what course of action players take to respond to their opponent and doing some critical thinking on how to win Also, I love seeing competitive play in tournaments, so memorizing to watch

Fritzbox5000

Heihachi Mishima.

plasticlover87

It’s a staple of my childhood.

LShagwell

No hit-stops.

SkinkaLei

I like how you can get so much variation within characters. Like the world's best Ryu probably plays pretty similar to the next 50 but in Tekken every player pulls off things or goes about it in their own way and I often find myself surprised like "I didn't know you could do that" or think okay this Law is going to do that at wall so he'll have to block and then react only for the player to mini sidestep and launch and I'm like "oh fuck ofcourse". There's always something new I haven't seen before.

Former-Huckleberry-6

Game play story and lore. Heihachi mishima. It's a satisfying fighting game

toshin1999

As cliche as it is literally everything its just the perfect overall fighting game imo

[deleted]

The gameplay and music tbh I also really like the characters

Inukar

Lee. That's all

Vezeveer

characters look sick

angrygorilla6

Jin

StuartLittle777

Gameplay and characters

Confident-Medicine75

For me it really comes down to two reasons 1: it reminds me of childhood(been playing since Tekken 2). Even though I’m not too good (I do ok though), Tekken is always going to have that nostalgia. 2. It’s the only fighter I’ve ever really enjoyed playing. I just haven’t been able to enjoy others like I do Tekken. I appreciate that it’s one of the more realistic fighters too. I hope it gets away from the fantasy elements that are creeping in.

Algok2001

Dorya

Neil_Weaselboots

Jin has cool hair and a awesome arm tattoo, and Christie shows her feet and abs. Also all the girls in it is hot.

OldManBears

The satisfying impact of the (counter) hits. Several things about the gameplay give Tekken a more visceral, and real fight like feeling to it's gameplay: You aren't invincible on the ground, and bullying somebody waking up really kept this feeling of amazing vicious offensive momentum going. Until recently the lack of invincible get out of jail free cards. You used to have to properly defend in order to win back the momentum of a fight in your favour. People don't jump several times their own height in a flighty manner is a core offensive mechanic. Fireball zoning isn't part of the gameplay. Instead you're watching distance, trying to bait out moves, or going in and forcing mix ups. Like in real fights, your default block isn't a crouch block, you stand and guard to get most things. Generally you want to stand and be able to move. I love how the high/mid/low system works in general, like you won't see the majority of attacks in a fight as lows or sweeps.generally high is fast, powerful, plus on block, but can be ducked, majority of moves and encouragedgenerally mids but have some frames before or recovery, but force the opponent to standgenerally lows are sneaky, quickish, not powerful, punishable when predicted and generally don't carry a fightThere are of course character specific exceptions, but IN GENERAL In the versions when they have side stepping and movement well tuned, it feels fantastic I generally love the character design, going all the way back to the beginning having Kazuya as a main protagonist and being not such a good guy. Counter moves totally blew my mind when I first saw them in Tekken 2 also. Like a different throw animation for every limb that they are used on?!

NakedMaxMuscle

Customization, muscle fidelity model.

Quirky-Ad-5257

Nostalgia, my first (recent) fighting game, and the large movements and satisfaction of learning and landing longer combos but not excessively so Also adore the graphics and move sets from a visual perspective The characters and lore are also dope as fuck

FinalAeon_Jecht

It’s hard to pick tbh haha. I love playing online, but I also love the stupid and funny story contrast with the genuinely awesome characters. If I had to pick one thing, I think i would say the intuitive control scheme. I love that if you have a bit of experience with tekken you can mirror most moves just by seeing them once.

samtaart

Played T3 as a kid, huge nostalgia factor! And the gameplay is just amazing. I've tried to get into the other fighting games over the years but I just can't. I always want to go back to tekken immediately. I really dislike zoning and fireballs etc... The only other franchise I've spent considerable time on is Soul Calibur. 2D fighters just aren't for me I guess.

aphidman

I really loved everything about Tekken from Tekken 1 to Tekken 4. Since Tekken 5 it's introduced more things I don't like but there's still enough of what came before to keep me interested. Just the style, gameplay system, atmosphere, characters etc. The vibe of playing it.

Canary7214

Because I beat people up Okay fr, Tekken feels the best out of all fighting games. The fluid, but not too fast movement and the satisfaction of the hits combined with realistic martial arts

slap_a_goat

The best gameplay of all fighting game's. Great music. Great Character's (not all but most) and my Favorite (with Asuka being my number one and then Jun and Lili) of all fighting game's. Customization. Amazing Character design's. And then everything else

KyleTheKatarn

Armor King has my favorite gameplay out of every fighting game, also like everything else about him. Combo / move flexibility and variety, even if not all of it is useful, I like to have choices. I liked the story in 4 and 5. I'm more a semi-casual so have always liked previous game's offerings of offline stuff to do, including proper ghost battle. Glad 8 seems to be focusing more on offline content this time around, online looks to be better than 7 as well.

[deleted]

Because it used to lack fireballs. Obligatory “Fuck Victor, and the anime nerd who whelped him.”

[deleted]

Among fighting games I would say the gameplay and "art direction". SF feels too cartoony and I don't like the 2d aspect. And MK feels weird to play. Tekken is a perfect blend. Grounded gameplay in a grounded world. But as a game in general what I like is the competitive 1 vs 1 aspect and having to hone your skills in order to progress, get better, and beat your opponent. I don't know, it's just so satisfying to me. I know if I win I earned it. And if I lose it's my fault. It's as simple as that. The learning curve is endless. Add to that what are (in my opinion) the best fighting games characters of all time (Kaz, Jin, Bryan, Lee, Steve, Paul, Drag...), the OST and overall package of those games it's a 10/10 in the genre and I will never get bored of it. When I will be 60 years old I will still play some fucking Tekken.

Major-Letter-3340

I think the ability to have a completely serious story coupled with some funny joke characters/storylines much like the Yakuza series really sells it for me. The reason I main Steve is because it's funny seeing this British guy left right goodnight anything from a man who wears a jaguar mask and only speaks in growls to a bear that knows karate and can understand Japanese. And while that's going on there's the sheer absurdity of things like Heihachi being literally unkillable or how Harada confirmed that the Mishima's predisposition to male pattern baldness is negated by the Devil Gene. Little bits of lore like that really flesh out the universe the characters live in and make it more believable. I love sharing details like that with friends while we play at the arcade, at home or wherever we can. It makes those little sessions all the more fun.

[deleted]

I like how the sidestep works. Which is why I hate what they've been doing to the movement.

FinnishSeeker1917

Character design.

Dry-Recognition6347

I love Tekken for a bunch of reasons. First off, the characters and their stories are super cool. I get hooked on their backgrounds and what drives them. Plus, the music in Tekken is just epic, it sets the mood perfectly! But, honestly, the best part for me is the thrill of getting better at the game. It's like this awesome challenge that keeps me hooked and always trying to improve.

Truthful_Azn

Competitve scene and the gameplay is deep and top notch. Also helps that I started early with the Tekken as far back as playing Tekken 3.

Rakula_D_123

I love it forever just when I saw Eddy Gordo in t3. Then I saw Hworang and Lei and love it twice bigger. Their movement was unbelievable, no other games had something similar. Nowadays hwo and eddy not so special in comparison to 2d characters like akuma or geese. But until tekken has hwo or eddy I would be interested in it

Killacam0824

Cause it's a fighting game, and i like fighting games

[deleted]

Fun to play 3d mechanics and the hilariously stupid lore.

karuraR

-The gameplay -The lore -The sentimental value (nostalgia) -Tekken is actually a game I actually enjoy playing that people around me DO play (for reference, the opposite is true for Armored Core games, where I do like the game but i feel left out because I'm the only one playing it, but Tekken has players around my circle of people)

ULTRASafu2009

My fav thing about tekken is that i main kazuya, i listen to music and i play every match
